Thank you for your very well thought out video. I’m thinking of enrolling as a Officer. I scheduled my call with a space force recruiter for tomorrow morning because of your video. Thank you so much.
Same, I just randomly suggested this to my wife tonight since I just got my degree in fine arts. It would be great to do a graphic design job in space force since the job market is so competitive.
There is a several year waiting list to get in as an officer in the SF and having a bachelors degree doesn't mean squat. (everyone's got one) Its not a guarantee unless your Mike Pence kid. Go enlisted and start your Guardian life within months depending on ASVAB scores and personal background.
@@Doughboy14145 Plan on 3 to 4 months. It was 4 months for me than I got an e mail from recruiters office saying your leaving in 2 weeks. While your waiting don't do dumb stuff like gain weight, get arrested or get a girl pregnant.
Been waiting for this video.... Might try to see if i can commission through rotc and get an mechanical engineering degree from the Colorado school of mines.
I'm 36 with a B A. And M.A. already. I have to lose a bunch of weight and I'm in the 2 year antidepressant use window. But after that is up I plan on either going to the Air National Guard or Space Force. I haven't decided yet. I have a little time left before being unable. Both of my degrees have been useless for me. I figure some sort of enlistment bonus or 2 should cover the student loans and I can put both my kids through college so they don't have loans over their heads like I have had for the past 14 years.
@@SBPepperminion Surely that is an option. I would find a mentor who also went from enlisted to officer. Taking college classes , being competitive, showing leadership, and getting the proper recommendations are also important. Which branch did you have in mind?
@@SBPepperminion Prior enlisted officers already have four to six years (or more) of military experience when they apply for a commission. That experience is invaluable when compared to officers coming straight from college or a service academy. You have to set goals and have the support of your command.
Masters in Cybersecurity, 3.975 GPA looking to get into the Spaceforce. Have to enlist(E4) in the Air Force first because I’m on a green card. Then apply to the space force as an officer after a year. Is this route worth it?
Personally I would ask yourself what is the reason you want to enlist ? Is it for any other particular reason than money ? Because I’m sure you can get a job or serve the country in another capacity with a higher salary if you already have a masters.
@@TheNikeAirman it’s funny how I’ll actually be taking a pay cut to enlist 😅. But I think it’ll be a most fulfilling mission to use my skills in defense of the country.
@@TheNikeAirman Out of curiosity would you say the same to me? No masters, but a bachelor's in data analytics. Been curious about enlisting in SF and am about to contact a recruiter. Entry level job market is like $60k or $70k a year but the jobs seem horrible so I've become disenchanted with it. I know that that's more than I'd be making as E-3 but I'm wondering if the experience of SF would be better. Idk
@@TheNikeAirman: Unfortunately, it’s not easy to get these jobs, I completely understand the person who asked the question. I’m guessing because he wants to fast track his citizenship and eventually a clearance
Just finished army air defense artillery BOLC. I saw allot of guys with space badges and it made me want one. Keep in mind as an officer, your making PowerPoints while your soldiers are working on the cool equipment. You gotta make time to get in the motor pool with your men. I'd still commission again because your in a place where you can help and take care of others.
I’m going through the enlistment process right now. Just turned in my documents and did my background check today. How long does it normally take to go to boot camp after you finish everything with Meps?
My recruiter told me I could transfer to space force after a year in the air force. Is this true? Im currently waiting for a job to be available and so I can ship out to basic. My recruiter has me as space force. I qualified for 5 space force jobs rest are Air Force. Should I just switch to Air Force and transfer to space force? I just want to be in the space force.
Space Force is definitely paying you to be an influencer/recruiter. But dont buy the hype. It is NOTHING like Starship Troopers. Its you sitting around an office engaging in typical interoffice politics between space intelligence analytics. Very boring stuff. The Mobile Infantry in Starship Troopers would be the USMC infantry. Go there if thats what youre looking for. Not the Space Farce.
Space FARCE!! Really? Until we invade Mars or Pluto or some other planet... Space Farce? Really? I mean... are you really a serious military service? And that hokey dress uniform? Uggggghhhh....
Just got picked for Space Systems Operator for Space force and leaving out Jan 7th!
Congratulations! that's badass
I leave jan 7 too!!!
@@Itsjazziejas Lets go! I bet you are excited!

@@Itsjazziejas I actually also had all source intel for Air Force before i got picked up by space force. That's a really great job to have.
so true and no matter what you’ll still be exposed to military training instructors in both space force bmt and space force ots 🤙🏽
Very true!! 🫡

A downside as an officer in the space force is that you can't be a space shuttle door gunner

Same boat brother. I only have 1 kid and my wife that I'm doing this for. And it's my hair for me that I have to lose. lmao
Thanks brother 😎
The officer route is definitely better for the long term and retirement.
What if you want to gain experience befire becoming an officer? You could enlist before commissioning?

To enlist in the space force as a officer you do need a high gpa with that degree remember that
