Thanks for the encouraging words buddy 👍
For the cable end, could try a cable end cap from a bicycle/moped brake cable!
Ii have been watching this rebuild from day one when you were hitting the pistons with a piece of wood to try and free fantastic job and quality workman ship thoughout well done lads and thank you for the journey watching
Me too , amazing how far he has come.
Me too!
Thanks Lads, means a lot reading this 👍
Using that crimp as a ferrule is far better than a bit of insulating tape which would probably fall off after a short time.
Excellent progress nice to see Kate's heart back in .. Live stream
Yes! Thank you!
Kate is looking amazing. Well done gentlemen!
Thank you!
I can’t believe it’s been 3 years lads ,I’ve watched you all from the start and enjoyed it ,a live stream on starting would be great on a Saturday with a cup of coffee, how will we know when it’s going to be? All the best lads 😊
Thank you Tony :)
I'll give notice of any livestream to come , here via youtube, so you will know when it is due :)
Kate is looking so good you've Definitely brought her back to life can't wait to hear here run
Mano gee yer self a pat oan the back putting the engine in on your own, that looked hard work. Great to see the progress on Kate 👀👍👍🏴
Thanks 👍
I like Tony’s way . Looking good ❤🔧🚗
at 21 mins I said you couldnt put that engine and gearbox in on your own, how wrong was I, well played manno, its all coming together now and I would love to hear kate starting up live
Thanks buddy! Have faith in me ;-)
Three years! time has flown .
Damn straight and we're still at it 💪👍
Impressive getting engine in alone ,your like me won't wait for help 😂
Man, she sure is looking good. Congrats on getting the engine in, that's a major milestone.
Thanks 👍
You did well fitting that engine on your own
Thank you, it was a bit embarrassing watching the replay, but I got it in 😊👍🛠💪
Cant wait to see pinto fire up gonna sound epic with them carbs 😄
Can’t beat an old first motion shaft.
OMG I can’t believe it’s been 3 years since you started this build
Looking good. Mr Tony's crimp on the throttle cable is the way to go.
Yes indeed, he on point, again! 😊
Hi guys , haven't watched you for a while as i was looking after my mum, but sadly she has passed away now , she was 91 . Anyway couldn't believe how far you have come building kate , she is taking shape now and looking good . Keep up the good work guy's 👍
Hey buddy, Bless you and Bless your mum too.
I'm really close to my mum too, and have been looking after her more and more recently.
It can be rough at times, but she looked after me for years -still does- and I feel good to be able to help her now.
Anyway, glad to receive your comment and encouragement buddy! We're getting there!!
Can't wait to see the engine startup. Say hi to Mr Tony and Gav.
I must compliment you (again) for the standards you are maintaining during re assembly. Just bloody perfect mate. She’s going to be an absolute beauty! 😎
Thank you Phil 😊
Another big progress update vid ,great mano & the rusty team keep pushing kate soon be on the road
Thanks 👍
30 years ago my mate had the input shaft frim a broken cortina gearbox which used to align my new clutch its the best way
Sounds perfect! 👍
Look forward to the start up 👍👍👍
Coming along nicely dudes
I have seen many methods of clutch centre plate alignment in my time, your method is a first. Like your thinking outside of the box to get the job done
Thank you 😊
It’s lookin sweet should use old blanket when lowering mill in😉
Quality bit of work lads😎👌🏼💪🏼
Damn I had one only a few feet away and never used it 🙈
Anxiety levels was through the roof when u was fitting that engine, but fair play u got it in beautifully ❤ great watch Manny cheers 🍻
Next time get one of those cheap engine tilters so you scan get the engine to 45 degrees. Lower it in and use a trolly jack under the trans so it can roll back easily
Ive watched your channel from the start and this is just getting better and better , this is going to be an awesome Capri when finished , the mechanical mods are superb , I can't wait to see you do your first test drive , respect to you guys 👍👍
Wow 3 years since I watched you on the driveway videos
A will it start live stream, yes please. Keep up the great work dudes. Kate is looking awesome.
Thanks buddy, will announce if/when livestrem will be on. I'll give notice so you chaps can tune in if poss 😊👍
Come a long way with this now, nice to see it all coming back together! Well done all involved excellent job. 👍😊
Thanks 👍
Loving the progress dudes
Great progress mano, it's all coming together now.
The finish you get on some of those old parts after blasting and then painting is absolutely lovely.
Well what can i say Manno, bloody great bit of progress and a real corner turned as well. You and the guys have all worked so hard over the last 3 years or so. Been great to see her evolve. Nice one and look foward to the live stream sometime 👍😊
Thanks Andrew :)
Thanks for the update manno, gav & Mr tony, Kate is looking fine, the more parts she gets put back the better she looks, not long to start up Saturday, fingers crossed... 👍👏
very well done, been watching you guys from the day you first open kate's bonnet to unseize the engine.
Nice one Mano ! Kates coming along mate
Fantastic progress dude..... definitely up for a live
Well done 👏
Thanks a ton!
Looks a hell of a lot neater the way Tony did it rather than having a bunch of throttle cable hanging around.., that was a no-no !
Great progress. Well done.
Thanks 😊
Thats some motivation, putting ngine in by yourself. Thats what ive done in past! Hats of to ya mate. Great job. Tony has always got great ideas, let him do his thing, ive learned two things from him so far, you guys are awsome!
Thanks 👍
Nice tools. I could live there
Lol! Thanks
Hey Manno,
Great job getting the engine in. Kate looking fantastic.
I've been watching from the start, when you first received Kate & you had to unseize the engine.
You guys have really come on. 👍
Thanks David, glad you enjoying seeing Kate rebuild herself 😊
Watched Kate from the start, coming together nicely now so all credit to you. Tone is a legend although can't understand a word he says lol ! We were all proved wrong with his cable tie solution, looks OK. Live yes, I'd be down to watch that, Cheers Mac. (UK)
Lol!! Thanks bud 😊
Nearly there dude 😀
Looking good 👍👍
love the pre face lift capri,s best shape imo, my dad bought one new in 1970 for £1017 owned it for 42 years good value, great video
Thanks for sharing
Morning dude
Av got the same tool for lining up the clutch it is frustrating Mano dude always had faith in you never left your side. I have used a half inch extension bar wrapped with masking tape to line a clutch up 😂. Or the spigot of an old gearbox. There is many ways to skin a cat not literally of course 😂. Nice to see big Red helping Am happy for you Mano buddy putting an Engine in on your own is not an easy job. Good on Tony for helping out loving the box of allen keys reminds me of my grandads box he had from back in the 90s. Tony is right with the idea am sure you can buy ends though. Still it will stop it fraying all the way down. The carbs look sweet you come a long way dudes. ✌🏼👏👍🤙🎸 Yes to live stream
Thank you Ali 😊
Hello kates looking great 👍
Thank you! 😊
Coming along well I wish you had put wiring harness in first before engine and heater box it’s easer with engine out 😊
Speaking of the fuse box mano those old fuse boxs were always prone to corrosion due to the fitment location on some older fords
so it might be worth getting a more up to date type fuse box using more up to date style fuses or relocate it (or both ? )....just a thought mate.
Did you put dowels on the flywheel? The clutch cover locates on to them. I would not run a clutch relying on just the bolts to hold it. Great progress though. Kate is turning back in to a car now.
next time, jack the back end as far up as you can, with the front of the car just high enough to
slide the hoist under...
Thanks for the tip 👍
As it happens, the rear was jacked up high, but it was unintentional, so I guess that helped 👍
for the throttle cable small round fishing sinker soldered on the end
Manny listen and learn from your mentor friend and not criticize him, that’s why you asked him for his help🤟🤟🤟😉😉😉😉
Don't know if u marked the position of the tail shaft halfs before splitting them. They should go back in the original positions. Maybe the splines are made so u can't make a mistake?
Not sure what the tail shaft halfs are, but if I have them , I hope I did them right 😂
Well done manno 3 years wow.what will you do with Kate when finished ? ( free give away 😅😅😅)what will be insurance value when finished ?
Thanks Peter, free giveaway sounds interesting but we'll see what thr future brings 😉
Insurance probs about £10k I guess?
@Classiccarbscouk sounds too cheap with decent respray and immaculate interior I bet your nearer 20k
@peteramberley9952 well, since I've never sprayed a car or got any decent interior, shall we meet in the middle? 😂
She’s looking very nice. How heavy do you think that clutch pedal is going to be?
Thanks! It feels like it's got a load behind it, but it also feels smooth and strong at the same time
@@Classiccarbscouk That’s ok then, hopefully you will probably plan to avoid most traffic jams in Kate anyway so it shouldn’t be too much of an aggravation hopefully..
Kate looking like a fine young lady. But talking about our sweet tooth, Banana on toast with butter and cinnamon on top is the best Mmmmm
Lol!! I'm glad I'm not alone with the cinnamon addition 😁🫡
Have you got wipper linkage and heater box ready to fit loom etc ?
Yep, I have the heater box and wiper linkage at hand, but they'll need restoring first, which I'll be getting on with in the next week or so.
I don't have a new wiring loom, just the old one, which is going to need a good few hrs work to repair, modify and layout.
@@Classiccarbscouk I still remember doing one of those heater boxes on my mk 1 25 years ago still got the long extension I bought to do it ,will be easier for you with no interior, I had a mare lol 🙃
Great progress 👌🏾 where can i find this music from ?
Hi - the track is Amorphous - The Prize. Available nowhere. Hope you enjoyed! 😉
@@vestanpance did you remix this? Shazam coming up with لحن الوفاء dj live 🤔
@@SilverTrill Yeah it's my track. That other track you mention has the same samples I have used. But I've not heard this before. Well spotted! That track has obviously sourced these samples from the same place as me.
@@vestanpance ahhh I see, I liked what you done with it 👌🏾
Question : can’t you run your fuel line off the carb toward the front…. Where you can fit your regulator…… rather than running your line backward an forward to connect where you were saying. 🤷🏻♂️
Yes! We spoke about this after watching the vid..
I'll see about swapping the fuel hose unions around and fit the regulator towards rhe front near the rad. Thanks 👍🙌
soon be ripping er round the streets , carefully though ay :)
🚗 🤴
The Ford factory lifted the Engine from underneath the car to install it.
watched the whole video, I assume in real life you are painter and decorators ?
Sheep shearers 👌
What colour are you going to paint Kate..
Good question! I don't know
(I thought the colour inside the engine bay was the colour) either way you need it to be.
Women I love them but they can be so complicated sometimes can't they
Yep 😊
You’ve met one that’s complicated only sometimes?? Buddy get a lottery ticket this weekend and thank me later 🤣😂🤣😂
This is called
LIVIN YOUR DREAM BUDDY
from a garage to a workshop
From not a clue to
Very Skilled
I bet you won’t spin the wheels off her this time round 🫣
Hi manny dear friend, please let me know when you know how to fit a clutch and maybe I will bring my car for you to fit one,you have a nice big garage great tools but friends to fit things, but saying that, your motivation impresses me and your learning as you go along, weldone manny👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😉😉😉😉😉😉🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
