Excellent work guys , I have been watching this from the begining, looking forward to the next video , this is going to be an awesome Capri , That Pinto has got a lot of compression , it is going to sound awesome with those carbs 💪
Glad you enjoyed it, Thanks! The pinto actually has low compression (I know it sounds beefy) which was an error on my part during the build about 2 years ago. I worked it out to be around 8.5:1 - Which is low. It should have been around 11:1 as the cam manufacturer (Piper) recommended. It will run, and go pretty well i think, but not quite right for sure.
The opportunity due to this error however, is to turbo the engine. We have some nice turbo carbs and a suitable intake manifold for it, but none of us have built a turbo system before, and aren't adding this to the long list of tasks to complete, just yet! :)

I've also been watching sinse day 1, you guys are doing an excellent job. I have 2 mk1's that needs some serious tlc. I'm learning allot from you. Can't wait to see Kate completed.

Fit an expansion bottle to the radiator cap😉😉😉
Put some double sided tape on top of the gauge,peel off only one side and close bonnet to see if it sticks to the bonnet😉😉

Hey Mano. you guys are doing great. just one thing. on the dash lights. the one you said is for the high beams for the headlights is in the wrong place. it should be in the center top, it's also blue. between the speedo and tack. the two on the bottom should be the same color and for the turn signals. left for the left and right for the right. and I've seen the lenses a variety of colors, from green to yellow. just thought i would let you know.
Thanks Ken. Perhaps they are different in Europe? Kate only has 1 indicator light on the dash and I'm pretty sure we've replaced the lenses in the original positions 🤔
@@Classiccarbscouk i'm just remembering it's originally a USA car. and you could be right about the wiring change from here to there. but originally it should have been high beams in the center and turn signals left and right. they seldom had a light if they had a gauge for the temp and oil. but your setting it up UK style. :)

Nope, this is pretty much all she's getting parknest. SHe is getting saved from the dumpster. The next owner can do whatever he wants with her with paint, re-finish or whatever

All the window frames were painted about 4 months ago in Ford cargo grey
