Cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. Had the service man constantly come to repair the dishwasher till the warranty ran out. They replaced a bunch of components and still would get the i20 error. Bottom line, it's a garbage product.
I absolutely agree. Endless trouble with this dishwasher. At least it's on its own circuit, so we can reset it each time we get the error and muddle our way through a complete cycle.
We have the Electrolux Dishwasher Model number : EI24ID50QS0B. Thank you so much for posting this. I was getting i20, i30 and sometimes even i10. "Over-Troubleshooting" led me to tearing apart front door to clean seals really good. I actually found a small piece of broken plastic in the drain pump about a week ago thinking that was a for sure fix. Several days and several failed cycles (and a few successfuls here and there), your video led to a 5 minute fix. My sensor was filled with caked in Gel Cascade. ... And To EE101 - Yes, the Software on mine seems very very very touchy. After you start it, LEAVE IT ALONE... or it will get very Mixed up. Happy to be getting back to a working dish washer.... Does a Lot of Work in our Home.
Glad it worked, I also spent a lot of time before figuring this out. The most recent time I was getting i20 I took and bent a thin wire into a loop and used that to clean the opening from inside the dishwasher.
We had this problem, lots of times. Replaced the small drainage tube which was full of stuff. Kept getting the i20 error for about 9 months, at which time the thing got totally plugged and just wouldn’t drain at all. Talked with the repair guys who said if it was the pump it really wasn’t worth the cost to replace. Resigned myself to purchasing a new machine, but kept trying it over the course of the week. Bailed out the standing water by hand, preparing to take it to the dump. Tried running it a couple more times, and suddenly it just started working again. I ran several sanitize cycles, empty, with a cup of vinegar in a container on the top shelf each time. That was two weeks ago, and no errors since. Running regular cleaning cycles from now on.
Update, it quit working again, same error code i20. Tried replacing the sensor, but still no go. Thought “It’s really dead this time.” Just out of desperation I gave the drain pipe a good shake, right where it attaches to the drain under the sink. I don’t know if there was an airlock or what, but it started to drain! Personally, I think it overheard our plans to haul it to the dump. When we replaced the sensor, we found the drain pipe was partially clogged. I think this machine needs to be cleaned often, on the sanitize function.
I had both the i30 and the i20 at various times. I believe both errors can be caused by the pressure sensor getting clogged/stuck. The bad sensor reading "low" all the time caused the dishwasher to overfill itself and leak at the front right corner of the unit.
The small lever is very thin and if someone already worked on it they may have broken it off. The last time I did this I used a long thin flat blade screw driver. If you look where the wires come out the back and then below round body section you should see it. If you can't find it try giving it a little tug and twist, it may pop right off. Don't worry if you break it, I did and just stuck it back on and it held on fine. Make sure you clean it out and clean the part it fits over before reinstalling.
mine sounds like its draining constantly, have to unplug to get it to stop... it drains the sump area.. but when I unplug water fills the bottom of the sump again..shows the i30 code.. Drain hose problem? Maybe not properly siphoned?
i30 is water in the bottom tray (water lifts a small float which I assume triggers the code). Try searching around www.applianceblog.com. I don't know if cleaning the pressure sensor will help but it is easy to do and they tend to clog with food particles.
Hey Larry. Not 100% sure if you're pointing to the small hose or the plastic white piece with the wires coming from it. I believe it's the small white piece with wires. If so, where is the clip on the bottom? I'm not having any luck here. Thanks!
The pressure sensor is the white piece with wires. The clip is on the pressure sensor and hooks over a small part on the sump. It is hard to explain but if you reach under the pressure sensor near the sump you should feel a little plastic part and just pull down on it a little bit then pull out the pressure sensor. Mine broke off so if that happens you can still use the pressure sensor (after cleaning it). I just stuck it back in and it didn't leak.
@@larrydeem3071 Thank you so much for the quick response! Just tried it and it popped out no problem! Now to clean it and see if it fixes the i20 error. Thanks a ton! EDIT: I tried it out tonight. Worked like new! I can't thank you enough for your help!
Well I think I broke the clip removing the sensor, and I didn't actually see much gunk in there. But after taking it out and picking around inside and putting it back in, the washer is running normally again and no i20 error
How would I get access to this? do I have to pull the dishwasher all the way out? and can I access and empty the drip tray from here too? I have i30 and contiunous draining until you shut off breaker. Before this happened I had i20 often. Thanks!
You have to pull the dishwasher out and then fold up the sound deadening material on the left side (as you are looking at the unit).Once you do that you should be able to see the sensor. I put the red tape on so you will not see that. My unit had water in the drip tray as well, I soaked up what I could with a towel and then used a house fan to blow air across the bottom for 2 days.
I own the same dishwasher. There is a bug in the firmware/software on the computer. When a running cycle is canceled the drain pump does not activate and waste water is left in the washer. Frigidaire is working with me to fix it. Have you seen it on your washer?
The software bug in the washer occurs in any normally working Gallery dishwasher. It occurs on any cycle including the normal cycle. Waste water is left in the washer when any of the cycles are canceled. The washer should empty the water it used to do the wash but the bug leaves the water in it. Give it a try. Run a normal cycle and cancel the cycle while it's running. Is there water left in the bottom?
I have a Frigidaire gallery (not sure the model #) but this worked...I did not see any food particles in the sensor or the hole where the sensor is seated. I still cleaned both out with a pipe cleaner and worked like a charm until the dry cycle where I am now getting error i30. Of course everything is put back together now and I placed the dishwasher back in it’s slot. That was a pain in the ass to get out because whoever put my wood kitchen floors in did not go under the dishwasher so the feet get stuck under the lip of the wood floor and I need to take fucking crowbars and shims to get it out
I have the same problem with the floor. In mine the front feet sit on the flooring but the rear are on the sub-floor. I lowered the front legs and now I have enough room to reach in the from the front and pick up the back so I can slid it forward. In another house I placed loose tiles under the dishwasher to level the sub-floor with the rest of the floor.

I was getting the i30 code and this fixed my problem. The drain pump ran continuously and I used compressed air to clean the switch. Thanks!
Glad hear it worked

Thanks. Fixed mine yesterday using your tip.
Hakim Sultanov glad it worked
Just cleaned the sensor on ours and so far so good, many thanks for posting!
You are welcome
Thank you! Saved me atleast $60 but up to $900!
Glad to hear you were able to fix your dishwasher.

you are correct, I had the same problem recently but didn't figure it out until after I changed the door gasket
Made my day :) worked for me, thanks!
Glad to hear it worked
I cannot find the little lever to pull down to release the sensor? I’ve tried the bottom like you suggested to Adam Stewart. Help please. Thank you !

This pressure sensor is basically a wrong design from the beginning

I broke mine as well. I put some tape around it to help hold it in and that has worked for well.

hi steven just wondering if you have fix your dishwasher?.it looks like I had the same problem as yours I hav i30 and it continiously draining
I did this and it worked! Just cleaned it off and now it works well with no more error codes.
Granny Fox Farm glad to hear this worked for you
I own the same dishwasher. There is a bug in the firmware/software on the computer. When a running cycle is canceled the drain pump does not activate and waste water is left in the washer. Frigidaire is working with me to fix it. Have you seen it on your washer?
My problem occurred during the normal cycle. It was not related to pressing the cancel button.

Did you ever fix the firmware on this? How did you do it?

I think i30 is water in the bottom lifting the float. Maybe the pressure sensor is leaking?
