Many thanks for this pattern. I have used it this week for the first time at Grafham which proved a great success. I coupled it with a claret hopper as a sighter . Fantastic sport seeing a slight swirl and then lifting into the fish as the hopper slides away.
Thanks for this great video, David. I only have the mylar pearl tinsel, but I'll use a yellow permanent marker to give it some hue! Oh, yeah, the weather here in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada is brutal - -30C with the windchill! Sunny but so very cold! I guess over on this side of the pond, we'd call this patter an "emerger".
Hi David, Thank you for another very good informative video. I still have the Steve Parton Tinsel (blast from the past) Unfortunately despite an extensive search on internet I cannot locate any 3/4 mm foam. Nearest I can find is Veniards Foam Sheets 2mm wide. I would be most obliged if you could suggest anywhere I could locate the 3/4 mm foam. Thanking you….Keep the video’s coming.. Always a pleasure to watch….👍👍👍
Nice simple pattern, I like the way you tie in the foam . Thanks for sharing
Ah, Steve Parton! The world is a poorer place without him, my supplies of Sparton gear are running out fast. Nice video, thank you.
Yes he was an inovator

david downie do you still use the orange hot spot on the black version?
@@richardferrara86 no just plain black but would work with orange also and maybe even green
david downie awesome!! Thank you so much.
Nice fly-no tried that with the foam👍🏻
You should! it works well
David, Great pattern, It would be good to see you using it on the water Video?- I will be making lots of these now. Ray
I'll try at some point this year lol but atm the rain is not allowing us to get out :)
When is the best time to use this pattern please?
All year round to be honest, I use it as a generic buzzer pattern trying to hatch. Early morning rises were my fav time to fish this.
dave can you send me a link to shop please
