    To change the linework to red in procreate (other apps too), you can turn on alphalock and with a big brush you can paint the layer red

      @@joshuadarryl In Photoshop or Artstudio Pro, simply use "hue/saturation" and turn on COLORIZE, then turn up saturation, turn up lightness slightly, adjust hue to red. If your lines were black, you may need to turn up "lightness" first so they're gray, hit okay, then do it again with colorize.

    There actually a easier way. Just choose the red of your choice, then got to "edit" then scroll down to "change color of line drawing" for the layer you're on and there you go

    In procreate, you can also just select the lineart layer, pick a color you want in the color picker and recolor it found on the wrench icon 😊

  • @ekoryia
    @ekoryia 4 года назад +3

    prolly someone else has mentioned it in the comments but you can also color a linework in csp with "change color of line to drawing" which you can find under > edit

    very informative lecture to someone who hasn't develop really any constant work flow or personal ¨blueprints¨, yet.
    the very simplified style and way you go and show your work step by step helps a lot to not think through the whole video how clean and crisp your lines are etc
    even the end result doesn't feel too intimidating and makes you want to show that even i can do this if i put my mind in to it
    good tutorial, 4/5

    For Procreate Users: to change the color of your sketch, add a new layer on top of the sketch layer, put the new layer on the clipping mask setting, then color drop whatever color you want your sketch to be onto the new layer

    I see a lot of people in the comments talking about other ways to change the lineart to red. But why not just start with red lineart? Seems like removing that step would speed up your workflow.

    • @user-pt5cl2ro6f
      @user-pt5cl2ro6f 4 года назад +1

      Changing the lineart color may become an afterthought rather than the intention right at the start. It's just ways to do if you decide to make it look better. Plus sketching with a light color may be difficult.

    For changing the color of your layer on csp is better to just have selected the colour you want to use and then tap on > edit > 'change colour'

  • @ebonyivory9696
    @ebonyivory9696 4 года назад

    you could change the color of the line art by locking pixels or with a clipping mask and filling it with the desired color instead of doing all the extra stuff in clip studio paint, Photoshop, and procreate

    Easiest way I've found to color a sketch/lineart is to lock the pixels of the layer and then fill the layer with the color you desire. Knowing your software's shortcuts will help speed up the process even more.

  • @jackieredker600
    @jackieredker600 4 года назад

    So I use clip paint studio ex as well and when I do the red lines and paint underneath, I get confused bc my lines remain pretty red the whole time so I'm not sure what to do with my lines as I'm putting color to it. My skin tone lines (bc of multiply) will remain a reddish color but I've used another color that made some lines almost black, so how do I decide which lines are what colors

    Why multiply since it will be o transparent layer your sketch is on? Unless you started with a merged sketch? It doesn’t look like it from layer in video?

    • @Cyranowan
      @Cyranowan 4 года назад

      For those watching, If this was photoshop, then multiply would work unless you have a sketch lift action to make it transparent. For my workflow, I have an action I created that removes the white and make a transparent background and creates a flat layer below it. Then you can build up or render. Similar process that I use for HiFi colouring comings.

      Its not that you cant. You didnt learned to. And learning doesnt have to be professional. You can learn by yourself.
      Btw yeah. The black sketch would be very bold and unfit.
      If you wanna. You can simply erase your sketch til its like a 30% opeaque.

    Change the title of the video.
    this is misleading. you don't want to do that.
    Read the title and then review that the video doesn't do anything related to the title.
    the title should be " How I drew this image in rough steps"
