If 14:33 doesn't convince you Parnell it's the Daddy of Mayweather, Rigandeux, Loma and the rest. I don't know what will
The audio is 11 seconds ahead.
yh lol and look what it did to Mayweather, made him 50 - 0
Pernell was slightly past his prime in this fight. He also had a knockdown in this fight. I have this fight a draw. De la hoya a much bigger fighter than whitaker was. Whitaker was small taking on huge dudes at times.
Whitaker was slightly past his prime for this yes and it showed - plus DeLaHoya was right on the money. Moved up a weight to for this fight.
@@mlh4711 I actually think Whitaker should have been given the decision since he was the champion and de la hoya either drew with him or barely won and from my knowledge you have to take it from the champion
Whitaker stock went up even in this defeat
I did to should been a draw
@@onlininfoit’s math
Pernell held the whole fight! It seems like he didn't come to win. 7-5 Oscar!
I think Oscar won this fight ,i liked Sweet Pea but to win this fight he needed more offensives in his arsenal. Offense always scores more than defense except if u make him pay by counters, Sweet didnt have enought
Dude was playing too much lack of respect to the opponent Oscar won cause he was actually active with his hands
DLH got robbed vs many fighters like Trinidad and Mosley 2 and Floyd and he still kept going in boxing and kept fighting the best. This was a classic fight showdown. DLH was the right winner in this fight. He made Whittaker miss all night 🇲🇽
Robbed?😂
@@vamoneygroupPpl just say anything no way was he robbed
Announcers were overly biased to Oscar, this fight was way to hard to score because there weren’t too many significant punches landed by either guy. I would of been fine w a draw.
back when boxers weren’t afraid to get an L but you put any of these old fighters up against the current fighters the current fighters would get slaughtered
Barbaros analistas son los MEJORES del mundio mundia!
This was by far the most hilarious fight of all times, shout out to both fighters 😂
When champions were really champions.
DAZN are you aware of the audio??? Try to watch this...
This is when Oscar was A+ quality
@1Eluzai you sound like a straight clown. Pernells own corner told him he was losing
@@WillAnderson3rd trainers do that all the time so their fighter don't slip up......
This was a much appreciated match for the fans. I’m glad that they fought each other in their prime. Rip Sweet Pea and gold bless Golden Boy 👍
Well, back then they fought for the fans. Sure, it will always about the money, but back then it was still very much like the gladiator. " Win the crowd, you win your freedom! ". They knew, win the crowd, economically they'd be fine.
PERNELL was in his prime...
Pernells defense was in incredible
DAZN and TOP Rank Boxing classic are both on Pluto TV. They both show all these old classic fights and new fights also.
Oscar missed so many punches , they were cheering like he was doing something.
Tinfoil hat stoner Oscar gave pernell a schooling! Not even close!
Oscar missed so many punches? That's not what Pernell's left eye was saying at the end of the bout!
Tinfoil hat stoner Yeah thats why pernells face was swollen. All he did was squat or showboat! Oscar put it on him. F.o.h wit that hate!
The commentators said Hoya won first five rounds lol. Sweat Pea clearly won round 5. He won round three too and give first 1 or 4 to either party.
The sound is out of sync.
Whitaker was a thing of beauty...mad skills!!!
He ran alot, he didnt come forward like a courageous fighter
@@GeorgeMartinez-u3w You prefer lower IQ boxing and there’s nothing wrong with that.
it would also be nice to re-upload the video of the Bernard Hopkins - Jermaine Taylor fight
if Pernell was more active maybe he would win the fight. fight was too close and he wasn't throwing enough.
Clear win for Oscar
5 rounds were very close, but from the other 7 Oscar won at least 5 no doubt... I had him wining 8-4 (one 8-10 round)
Man why can’t I find the original hbo broadcast. I hate these old fights with these other announcers re doing it
Can we give Milns Lane his flowers too. I forgot he was very aggressive as a ref. He made fights better in some ways because he pushed people in the ring.
I thought Whitaker won this fight, although it was close. RIP Sweet Pea.
I disagree but I respect your fandom haha.
Oscar out did him. Pernell was pernell though. Always dope to him.
But oscar was sharper
Ronnie Mc 114-113 because I gave Pernell a 10-8 round for the knockdown, even though it was a flash knockdown. But I can’t say it’s a robbery because I could see a round being swung in Oscar’s favor.
Recordaba poco de la pelea gracias DAZN!!
PW won this Fight but u have to respect Oscar bc he fought everybody. But Canelo outhere making the nation look bad.
He does look 👀 like Ryan I see now holyshit crazy throw back fight Oscar a legend miss fights like this .. and millions watching around the world 🌎 in 2020 lol 😂
VA in da house!!! R.I.P Champ!
I had Oscar winning this but should watch it again
Great fight.
Audio our of sync?
It’s fixed now 👌🏾
I had it 113-113. If it wasn't for the bogus point deduction for the clash of heads Whitaker would have taken it.
That being said, De la Hoya winning isn't a robbery by any stretch. It was close enough that one round one way or the other could have changed the outcome completely.
Sweet pea made the golden boy, look lost in storm, a 1st degree robbery, on all accounts
This will be nice to watch together
The sound isn't synched up right.
I was born in 93 so im 30 yrs young w boxing but i like O DLH at 145 weight n him walkinh around at 155 or 160
Ive just been watching him to revist the past. Also been watching Roy Jones jr. Oscars passion for boxing is visible. Oscar was a icon in Mexico from 93-0-
Wowww
Pernel W. Amazing defense.
Impresionante
Nice man look at this quality.
Whole time I thought they robbed sweet pea but nah Pernell didn’t do enough
Best fought the best...I can't stand these divas now...RIP sweat Pea science and I gave him The W, Oscar was the cash cow and that's how it goes 💯
Pernell was a problem Floyd could never no disrespect 💪🏾💯🙏🏾
I scored it 114-to 112 Oscar. Pernell won round 11 to me.
So your here from that short you saw too.
Thanks for the like.
Oscar won. Get over it.
He did win, but Floyd beat Oscar and Canelo
@@toreyjoseph1286 Floyd edged a past prime and coked up Oscar. In his prime, Oscar was a beast.
Bull....
@@toreyjoseph1286 Floyd struggled with a drug addict old Oscar
torey joseph Floyd did beat canelo but Oscar as the other guy said he fought him past his prime
Got more respect for Whitaker than I do Mayweather this man truly boxed his opponents while still in their prime
A young Floyd wanted a prime Oscar and Mosley… they both said nah and ducked because they we’re comfortable we’re they were as the cash kings, Floyd surpassed them and did the same thing.
Also don’t compare a guy who’s whole imagine is being undefeated to other fighters, there’s reasons why dudes with nothing to lose (record wise) take fights while others don’t.
@@bondsgoat25 bro Mayweather was in the super featherweight division at 130 in 1998 de la hoya was in welterweight and Moseley in lightweight not only that Mayweather didn't move up in weight until 2002
@@RM_2423 obviously when Floyd was younger at 130 the timelines and the weight classes didn’t add up, in order to fight either man but he would have and wanted to fight them way earlier then he did.
He wanted the Shane fight in 05 after Floyd had come to welterweight, Shane said his toof hurt and he had trips he wanted to go on… then they ended up fighting half a decade later when Floyd was the money fight and shane was old!
And As for Oscar, Floyd had been campaigning for that fight for years, before it happened both during Floyd’s welterweight tenure and just before. And while Oscar wouldn’t have been in his absolute prime, a 31 year old Oscar wouldn’t look bad on a resume especially given that’s he’s the naturally much bigger fighter!
Floyd seen what Pete did to Roger and said nah dawg lol
@@bondsgoat25 floyd said a lot of things he didn't do. he called out tsyuzu then never fought him when they were in the same division
