I could do without the woman talking about her issues in the background.

I’ve had mine apart several times and replaced both control boards. What everyone isn’t understanding about this is it’s not resetting the connector that solves the problem - it’s unplugging the board, waiting for a couple minutes and then replugging it in. There is a flawed design in the circuit board that Samsung has not acknowledged. You can change the board but it will last a couple months and start happening all over. These washers are junk.

Woke up to my Samsung washer turning on, then immediately dying. Almost ruined my day, but I watched this video and checked that plug and fixed it. Thank you so much!

@JJ'S Appliance Repair I have 120 going in and out of the noise filter but no power at the same connector you showed in the video, any help as to why would be appreciated.

Good video, but the two people continually talking loud in the back ground is to much.

Dude, you are the man! I opened mine up and when I tool the white round cover off and carefully moved the connectors (as it was plugged in) and I think that is what fired it back up. Not 100% sure but the video was a big help! I was worried a circuit board was fried or something in my 3 year old washer! Thank you!

THANK YOU! I can vouch for this working on my samsung wa48h7400aw/a2 which I believe is a slightly newer model but control components were very similar. I was concerned about the lack of vocal instruction but this fix really doesn't need it. Simply unscrew the covers necessary to access the two points in this video. I jiggled the wires under the round white plastic cap and ensured they were plugged all the way in. Then unplugged and re plugged the second set under the large oval cover with screws. Re assembled and my washer powered on. At the time of this comment I found a main circuit board for $175 for reference. Thanks again!

I have a washer very similar to this, but my issue is that it won’t turn on. It plays the chime of turning on, but no lights. I have attempted to fix it and see the main control board receives 120V. A green light flashes every 5 seconds on the board and when I attempt to turn on the washer on, another green light flashes for 3 times, on the third flash it seems to get cut off short. Any help would be greater appreciated.

Dude! I owe you BIG Time!! If you're ever in San Diego dinner and drinks are on me. Your video perfectly demonstrated how to disassemble the controls and localize the fault with a multi-meter. I was freaking out trying to find my warranty info and pissing off my wife because we're leaving to Vegas in the morning. I stumbled upon your video and followed along (without you ever speaking!?!) and fixed my washer before the trip. THANK YOU!! Seriously, if you're ever in San Diego my name is Mike Freely and I owe you.

Great video! Ran through the same steps to get my washer working again. No obvious loose connection and I note that wiggling the cable to the power board can replicate the fault so an assuming a bad wire somewhere in the path

Fixed my Samsung WA45K7600AW/a2 washer!!! THANK YOU! Inside was 90% identical as the one you were fixing in the video. 2nd problem I've had in 10 days with this machine, last problem the tube for the fabric softener dispenser came de-tached from the tub area and was leaking water all over the floor. Samsung washers are not well engineered. They work but they also break a bunch.

It's crazy to think that when my washer doesn't turn on, it sets me off too lol. I'm glad I came across this video. I performed the steps exactly as shown in the video, nothing needed to be replaced, but now my washer is working. Thanks!

I did the same thing this guy just did in mine started working from being completely dead I just disconnected the connectors inside Plug them back in and then all the sudden I had power to my head unit so I could use the controls before I had absolutely no power . I'm sure that it will not fix it long term but it definitely fixed it today great video thank you

  • @WhyAreThereHandlesNow87

Mine did not look loose but I pressed down on it and ensured the connection was fine and it worked!
