I bought my 85 s10 12 years ago for $1800, it had only 35k miles on it and currently has 290k and still runs like a charm, if you find one of these trucks in good condition for a decent price jump on it
I have a 91 S10. Got it from my dad who got it new. Holes in the body, lotta rust, had to replace rear end and dash light. Has some minor problems but none that I can't fix. I absolutly love this truck. 187,000 miles. And the only thing I had to replace is the rear end. Good truck. It'll last you for years.
Bought mine S10 Blazer for $1000 and it runs great to this day. It's a 1994 1st gen, 4.3 V6, automatic, 4x4, with power windows all around, AC, heated driver's seat, digital gauges, digital radio controls and all-black leather finish. It's pretty crusty with a lot of bodywork issues, but the frame is ok and it runs perfectly fine and surprisingly is pretty easy on the MPG- it gets comparable MPG to my 9-3 Aero- and has LPG installation (something very popular here in Poland) so I pay half for fuel on top of pretty decent MPG. I'd never trade a car like this, and especially not for some econobox.
I have a 91 s-10...it won't die. My aunt bought it new and it took her through college. I bought it from her in 2001 and it took me through college. Now it drives back and forth from Alabama to Atlanta everyday. 273,000 miles. everything but the water pump, clutch, fuel filter, and oil filter. is original. S-10 trucks don't die. Roaches will drive them after the nuclear apocalypse.
Someone who made a mistake I'm about to get a non running second gen for 500$ and I Know it'll be my forever car idc how much money I have to put into it it'll stay on the road
That is a pretty rare truck you found. Haven't seen any regular cab S-10 pickups with bucket seats and a center console in that good of shape except for the GMC cyclone. Very nice looking truck. Would have love to own that one.
Last of a great truck right here. Looks like mine except better condition. Made in my hometown of Shreveport Louisiana. And the top comment is right, damn things just will not die.
I've got a red 91 s10 tahoe, 2.8 5-speed with 31xxx miles. Fantastic little truck. Goes pretty well in 6 inches of snow for a 4x2. Should be getting fog lights soon.
My friend has one sitting in the garage. We got it running today to drive it and its a great truck. His would start right up except the starter doesn't work every time. We had to push start it.
I owned a 95 s10. Good condition. 1500 was the trade in value. The dealer offered me $500. I laughed.... and told him either drop the price of the car another thousand or give me actual trade value for my truck. I still regret selling it today. hands down one of the best vehicles I have ever owned.
because chevy just wont die, i still see old chevys everwhere even corsicas taht lookl ike theyre held together by duck tape haha still running. i got an s-10 a 2000 with 49,000 miles on it, cant wait to make memories in it :D
I am in the process of buying this pickup! It is a stick shift. Right now I drive a Honda Accord and yes it’s manual. What I want to know is going from a small car manual to a truck more difficult to drive or the same? I never drove a truck that was stick before but I love a vehicle with manual.
I have this truck. pristine condition much like this one. with even less miles it is sitting in my garage with 66,000 miles. oh it has original rims too ;)
Truck has a fubared ignition tumbler. You can turn the tumbler without the key in the ignition because it wont come back and lock all the way. Kyle did the AC work?
I know right!! I replaced my tailgate because the hinges rusted out and I then realized my bed was so messed up the tailgate still wouldn't close/open correctly because the bed is so rusty/twisted. Took some wood and a tie-down to remedy it.
My dad had a 1983 s-10 that was my favorite vehicle of ALL TIME!! It had a 4 speed manual not sure how big the engine was but I know it was a v6 and it wasn't very fast but it ran so perfect and it started right up sitting for 5 years and it had 500,000 miles or so on it. My dumba** dad gave it to his friend then he gave it to the scrap yard and it was crushed. R.I.P Little buddy.
@vacmasterthegreat - i rebuilt my 2.8 at 200k but it was abused. repainted it to now i want to drop a 350 tbi in it. still has some good towing power and grunt for how small it is. new crank really helped it.
@Pepsifx357 thats awesome, love these lil trucks, they go forever. prob never sell my 90 4x4 s 15. never could get it stuck. has the 4.3 engine with over 208,000 miles now but i did have the transmission rebuilt by a transmission specialist that i know for $100 bucks 3 years ago and 6,000 miles ago. cost a total of about $500 bucks. i bought a heavy duty rebuild kit and a 1650 stall torque converter. it also has a stock 3;42 locking differential. this truck will move lol, pretty quick
@92sonoma Awesome! Cheap and LONG lasting. When I lived in Florida(Rains a helluva lot), I kept running into the problem of street tires, on level pavement, in the rain, plus lead foot equals... My back end kept sliding off to the right on takeoff because the weight couldn't keep up with the accidental torque. I had them put mud grip tires on it and that fixed my problem; Of all things. lol 285000 now still tickin'.
@Pepsifx357 Ya I like the old boxy style s10's and s15's 82-93. The 2.8 was a really good motor. I know what u mean about the power of them. He couldnt keep tires on his lol, it kept up with my 92 sonoma with the 4.3 up until about 80mph. I couldnt hardly believe it. I got a 90 s15 4.3 v6 4x4 now that ive had since 03. put a bed, fender, and replaced the cab corners and rocker pannels because of rust. Just turned over 208,000 and runs great. I have like $1500 in it counting buying it
Love these trucks, my uncle had an old 1989 one, beat the hell out of it, and it kept going. This one is in great shape for its age. But im not sure if the price fits the bill...maybe $4k would, $5k is a bit much.
This is a odd question but I have a 1991 Chevy s10 4.3 L v6 it’s at 108,000 miles and won’t pass emissions I’ve been told it has to much gas not enough air…really the deviation is just to high!!! I do not want to cut my losses with this truck but I have no idea what to do with it in runs and drives beautifully just won’t pass emissions!! I don’t want to register it as a antique if you have any ideas please lmk
@irarawkstarr. I'll put money on this that it's a 2.8. Alternator was on the other side for the 4.3 and the intake was different, though maybe yours is different than the many I have seen. But a 5speed with the 4.3 was rare. I found one for $900 with a 4.3,5speed 4x4, 190k, and the only major rust was over the rear wheel wells. came with cap too. If I hadn't spend $400 fixing the one I picked up, I'd a bought it.
@Pepsifx357 my brother had a 91 with the 2.8 5 speed. had just over 202,000 when bought. was one reliable truck, finally at 293,000 miles he decided to junk it, the floorboard and cab mounts were gone and also the bed. I would of fixed it for him, but not worth it. only had to replace the alternator and water pump, well and a radiator, hood, core support, grille and fan shrouds cause he hit a deer at 65 mph. was one good truck, sold the motor and trans for 200 bucks, still ran perfect
Almost every chevy truck I've ever been in made before 1995 has high oil pressure. My uncle's 92 blazer with the 4.3 is about the same. My grandfather's 1987 K10 with a 350 also runs around the same. It may be these engines, or GM may have just put bad gauges in these trucks, but all of them i've seen run a little high according to the dash gauge
Why did they do that how crazy I would had keep that S10 really nice as the wheels but I got a S10 ZR 2 that I would trade for older S10 square body my is 1999 let me know
Thumbs up if you miss the days when trucks were put together decently and not made for show
I don't know about that, but they definitely were a lot simpler
I bought my 85 s10 12 years ago for $1800, it had only 35k miles on it and currently has 290k and still runs like a charm, if you find one of these trucks in good condition for a decent price jump on it
I agree
Yep we got one 299k and will still fire up with first to cranks but it is starting to show signs of old age but that doesn't stop it from rolling on
I just bought one with 290k for $300. It runs and drives great! I just love it how easy these are to work on and mod!
Found one with 170k miles patched frame and non running for 500$ and I'm jumping all over it ... It's also a original second gen ss-10
i had a 1985 gmc s15 carburated then the head gasket blew up in 1991 then in 1992 i bought a 1992 chevy s10 fuel injected
Gotta love the simplicity of old trucks.
Its beautiful I would buy this in a heartbeat
I got this truck Same color and everything
Love this truck. I have always been a sucker for the 1st generation S10 with a 5 speed. Thanks Kyle.
Bought my 93 1st gen s10 for $300 :) Runs Great!
And now you are building a super cool crew cab square body S10. Youve came so far, that awesome!
Stuff With Cleatus That’s*
@@venividivici4253 That*
Beautiful truck. I always wanted an old S10.
Awesome trucks!! I had a 1988 2wd, 2.8, automatic, with the 'long ' bed, absolutely loved it!!
I drive a 96 ranger absolutely love that truck. But i do love the looks of this s10
Kaleb Bradley Im a big Chevy fan, but I can definitely get behind a Ranger
I have a 91 S10. Got it from my dad who got it new. Holes in the body, lotta rust, had to replace rear end and dash light. Has some minor problems but none that I can't fix. I absolutly love this truck. 187,000 miles. And the only thing I had to replace is the rear end. Good truck. It'll last you for years.
I had a Red 1991 S-10 when I graduated from High School in 91....this brings me back...
Awesome, i graduate high school next year.
Who the hell traded in this Clean 4.3 S10 for a Hyundai are you kidding me?
2.8 pretty sure
Fuel economy reasons I guess.
kollyn anders 2.8 was last in 86
(I was wrong) they did
I had a 96 blazer s10 and I loved it put almost 600k on it when I sold it I miss it like hell now
Someone who made a mistake I'm about to get a non running second gen for 500$ and I Know it'll be my forever car idc how much money I have to put into it it'll stay on the road
That is a pretty rare truck you found. Haven't seen any regular cab S-10 pickups with bucket seats and a center console in that good of shape except for the GMC cyclone. Very nice looking truck. Would have love to own that one.
thats my s10 : ). i own a 91 5 speed 2.8L great little truck
my grandfather had one of these for years and it was pretty reliable. This one's in immaculate shape though.
Should be getting fog lights soon.
want to sell it?
My mom's ex boyfriend's father had a Chevrolet s10 like this. It was a nice truck. He passed away from diabetes on 12/30/2015 at age 58.
Who would trade that nice s10 pickup truck that's crazy
My friend has one sitting in the garage. We got it running today to drive it and its a great truck. His would start right up except the starter doesn't work every time. We had to push start it.
This truck is in fantastic shape being a 91 and all. Though 4900 is a bit high on the price I think. Nice tour video.
kyle somebody has took damn good care of that truck
My grandpa used to have a truck like that
These trucks are like Toyotas. You'll see more of these trucks on the road than any other truck.
That's true, I see everybody in my town driving the same truck as mine.
John Dohe if my nostalgia glasses for my fathers 1992 silver S10 Tahoe weren't on I'd agree with you
John Dohe I have seen some that are completely rusted out and yet they still go
I drive a fairly rough 88' s10 w/ 121, XXX miles. The engine runs like it's brand new.
toyotas are garbage i see way more chevy's fords and dodge's on the road i see like 10 of each for every tundra i see
Beautiful truck and in graet shape
Probably the cleanest first gen s10 in existence
nice find kyle that thing is in awesome shape
I owned a 95 s10. Good condition. 1500 was the trade in value. The dealer offered me $500. I laughed.... and told him either drop the price of the car another thousand or give me actual trade value for my truck. I still regret selling it today. hands down one of the best vehicles I have ever owned.
Can't find one for 5k today.
S10 has has entered the classic truck relm!
I have a '91 s10 auto 4.3 with 202k miles as my first truck. Not a bad little truck.
I love S10s. Espeacially this generation
looks exactly like our s10 before it got redone...u should c ours when i upload it on here..but its what we still wish we had
truck is in excellent shape
I got a 1992 CHEVY S-10 5-SPEED with the TAHOE package, with only 88k on the odometer, it is an amazing truck.
because chevy just wont die, i still see old chevys everwhere even corsicas taht lookl ike theyre held together by duck tape haha still running. i got an s-10 a 2000 with 49,000 miles on it, cant wait to make memories in it :D

We had a 2- toned (blue and beige ) one that looked almost like this one with original radio and Kelly tires
I have this truck. pristine condition much like this one. with even less miles it is sitting in my garage with 66,000 miles. oh it has original rims too ;)
Let me get it though...
mariano baltazar no its mine!
+Josh Struck I have an '01, but I've always wanted an older model S10!
+mariano baltazar yep mines a beauty.
Can I buy it?
I just bought one today. 1987
David J Hammond do you like it
Yep, their fun trucks. If you can find one that runs and low miles, grab it. My truck only has 79,000 miles on it. Not bad for an 87.
Do you still have it?
Truck has a fubared ignition tumbler. You can turn the tumbler without the key in the ignition because it wont come back and lock all the way. Kyle did the AC work?
buzzer reminds me of my mom's old '91 Blazer.
I know right!! I replaced my tailgate because the hinges rusted out and I then realized my bed was so messed up the tailgate still wouldn't close/open correctly because the bed is so rusty/twisted. Took some wood and a tie-down to remedy it.

good car great video kyle
So beautiful ❤️
Beautiful!
In my area this truck, even in such Immaculate condition, would only fetch about 2 grand. Maybe $2,500 if somebody was really wanting it.
the transmission on the 1982-1993 Chevrolet S-10
Transmission
3-speed THM-200C automatic
4-speed 700R4/4L60/4L60E automatic
5-speed Getrag / Muncie HM290 / 5LM60 NV3500 manual
@vacmasterthegreat - i rebuilt my 2.8 at 200k but it was abused. repainted it to now i want to drop a 350 tbi in it. still has some good towing power and grunt for how small it is. new crank really helped it.
That pickup is beautiful! I take it has the 4 cylinder? If there was a mention I missed it, sorry :-D)
I like it i have one but i need some parts like a clutched sylinder
The previous owner took very good care of this truck thats for sure.
@KennayLee Yeah for sure. My dad used to have an '85 Blazer with one. I learned to drive on it actually. I miss it.
@Pepsifx357 thats awesome, love these lil trucks, they go forever. prob never sell my 90 4x4 s 15. never could get it stuck. has the 4.3 engine with over 208,000 miles now but i did have the transmission rebuilt by a transmission specialist that i know for $100 bucks 3 years ago and 6,000 miles ago. cost a total of about $500 bucks. i bought a heavy duty rebuild kit and a 1650 stall torque converter. it also has a stock 3;42 locking differential. this truck will move lol, pretty quick
any possible vids of that red f-series in the beginning? keep up the good work
What kind of car do you drive, Kyle?
Also, you should do a 98 Sierra 2500.
Cool truck
Where is the truck located in the US of America. Maybe interested in the item.
Only 83000, this truck is still in mint condition!!
@Pepsifx357 Ya I like the old boxy style s10's and s15's 82-93. The 2.8 was a really good motor. I know what u mean about the power of them. I have like $1500 in it counting buying it
This is a really really old video but I found it trying to do research idk if you can even see my comments but!
This one is in better condition for sure.
Love these trucks, my uncle had an old 1989 one, beat the hell out of it, and it kept going.
This one is in great shape for its age. But im not sure if the price fits the bill...maybe $4k would, $5k is a bit much.
the 86-93 2.8l S10 pickups are still the strongest ones they ever built. its a shame, so little power yet still the best.
i had 93 S10 same motor and trans but with 4 wheel drive. took it up hill in 3+ feet of snow with bald tires.
Is this still for sale????
The only think I hate about this truck is that I didn't buy it 8 years ago when Bob Mayberry was selling it!
the 1982-1993 Chevrolet S10 was assembled in
Shreveport, Louisiana, United States
São José dos Campos, Brazil
I once owned a 92 just like that i bought it brand new
Is this one a 2.8, or 4.3?
This is a odd question but I have a 1991 Chevy s10 4.3 L v6 it’s at 108,000 miles and won’t pass emissions I’ve been told it has to much gas not enough air…really the deviation is just to high!!! @itslowell the older s10 didnt come stock i have only seen them with it on the dash :)
Worth $1,400 max. Remind me never to purchase a vehicle at this lot.
Christopher Paradise video is almost 7 years old mate.
still
for 1,400 I got one with a 351 engine
i'd pay up to 2500 for that s10 for the condition its in, what gives it its value is the low miles and the good body condition
Well whats an extra thousand dollars between good friends, and car salesmen are always good friends.
can you make a vid of that red f350 they have at that place please kyle
I had a 91 4x4 with 4.3 everything stopped working at 160,000 ; 4x4 cruise etc. sold it for a 1996 Tacoma never had a problem yet
thumbs up for 1st gen s10
I find these older trucks pretty interesting. xD
If I hadn't spend $400 fixing the one I picked up, I'd a bought it.
this is an rare conversion. of this kind of truck with manual transmission.
im suprised the tailgate works all the old s10s ive seen have a broken latch but still open just hard to get to stay closed
beauty !!
My dad's S10 came from Tim Marburger Mazda in Concord
It's in beautiful shape. That's probably a large reason why they're asking so much for it...
But I'd still try and talk to down. XD
Is it for sale
Almost every chevy truck I've ever been in made before 1995 has high oil pressure. My uncle's 92 blazer with the 4.3 is about the same. My grandfather's 1987 K10 with a 350 also runs around the same. It may be these engines, or GM may have just put bad gauges in these trucks, but all of them i've seen run a little high according to the dash gauge
@JakeDaSnakeFilms this 1 has the 2.8 if i'm not mistaken, could be wrong tho.
@DarnLevel Pretty high mileage, hope it's rebuilt.
That truck is in great shape , who says American cars aren't good
Whoever slags american cars must of never seen european cars from the 90's the the 95 ford fiesta or vauxhall corsa, that cars make me wanna throw up
Google "corsa b" or 1995 ford fiesta and have a look for yourself
3:17 - Is that a 4.3?
These cars are so expensive in my country it's unreal, only because they are rare and you see them in old american movies
my dad has one of these. But its a chevy S10 tahoe
I'm pretty sure the only reason its almost $5,000 is because the condition of it is great!
Why did they do that how crazy I would had keep that S10 really nice as the wheels but I got a S10 ZR 2 that I would trade for older S10 square body my is 1999 let me know
Ok deal
hey evey rbody how's it going?
Can anyone tell me what the black plastic front piece that goes from corner to corner is called?
