I'm not sure about the archers. I think, since their size as been adjusted, they need a different standing animation. This makes it look like they have backpain or something.
Edit: Just seen Shandris. That's exactly it. Doesn't matter if it makes her less unique, just make archers standing animation like hers.

@@artyomluchkin8904 Dark Rangers come from the High Elves. These are night elves, and they are supposed to be really tall, taller than orcs and a little huched.
Give them Shandris' idle animation and make their hunched idle active when they are in shadowmeld.
Why's that? It seems way more fitting for the Night Elves than their posture in WoW or anything like that. Hunched over, ready to fight.

@@FBFTheRagingWarrior They said something about that on blizzcon. For you to be able to play reforged together with people on the old client they had to make every animation with the original pace and point of impact. They would have made bigger changes to them otherwise. You can't have everything.

@@Katherinelc96 yeah mine too, I often build around KotG, and these guys. Wish they added a bit of variety in individual units. i.e. in C&C Generals, Technicals would be different type of pickup truck models that summoned at random. Wish they could have done that with hairstyles, armors & weapons.

I think the portrait itself won't be changed, it will just be covered up with a ton of particle effects, these are not implemented on any unit yet which is why ghosts and such look odd or have gaps in their models

All the characters just looks so grumpy. Kerrigan in particular drives me nuts because she looks so predatory. They keep putting that ugly green colour everywhere too.

It's actually ironic how that slow unit is named "runner". Instead of making her faster, they should rename her. Any good idea? :3

That Dryad eyes, holy fuck, it looks like she's been on drugs for generations now.
I always thought that Malfurion was riding a mountain goat, now I see it's a reindeer.
I only just noticed that Demon Hunters including Illidan commit hara-kiri before death.
They act as if they were on drugs, so that is accurate.

A part of Night Elves I always sad about is you could never use uprootable building as effective combat units.
They where ether much to slow or fragile with the armor change.
I think the intention was to use them in a pinch, last resort you know? Also to save up resources and just move those buildings to a new location instead of having to build new ones.

The reason why the archer's posture looks like garbage is not because of the updates models or graphics, it's garbage cuz they made it look like garbage. Watch the world of warcraft cinematic(the first one). Look at how that unit is crouched and hunched, it would be awesome to see that pose because it would fit perfectly
funny how you shits claim to be fans but archer was always hunched like this and you didnt even know that, on one hand you scream that you dont want any major changes and on the other you scream you want them....make your fucking mind people

@@inkheart4866 They already do kind of in the form of warglaives, but I know the ones you mean, the warden ones. If they made a set for tmog, I would never wear anything else. It looks so good.

Honestly they need to let Warriors at a minimum use warglaives, and then add the warden glaives. Having the distinctive night elf glaives in game as currently but only usable by Demon Hunters is really fucking stupid.
I really hope they keep some of the older, iconic voice lines.

NE looks hands down the best out of all 4 races shown (maybe except the dryad.. wtf is that on her head?! and the hippogryph is way too colorful). They should do something like this but with all the races now and maybe the graphics would actually look decent.
I think ot would be a good idea if banshees posses wisp...they will buil corrupted instead of the normal one since they are possesed right?

The irony that the models look better in WCIII Reforged than in World of Warcraft. Although, definitely agree the posture of the archers needs fixing, Druids of the Claw need their pants drawn better. But over all, great work by Blizzard. Now, if only World of Warcraft could look this sexy.

I see big problem with projectiles spawning locations and timing. Like for example druid of the Talon bird ver. spawns his ball of lights from his claws and it looks like he throws it. In remaster he only does something like mini charge and ball spawns 1 meter over him.

Not saying I dislike the Druid of the Talons' new death animation, but it certainly doesn't sound like it syncs with the sound he makes when he dies. The original one has him first kind of hanging weakly from his staff and then falls while you hear an "URGH!" he makes right when he falls for good. That happens too quickly in the Reforged animation for the "URGH!" to sync properly. So they're either gonna change the current animation or the sound.

I feel like they have it the wrong way around for Maiev and the Warden. Maiev should have the closed helmet, to be more in line with her MO as faceless justice and vengeance.
Also, the more I look at these portraits, the more I believe there’s almost no lighting and particle work implemented, at the moment. I think a lot of them will look better, once a second run through is done to get that sorted.
Not just the portraits, the actual models lack shading, some SFX and even animation.

I really like the models so far. The animations could be a bit more polished I think. I really like seeing the comparison as WC3 is my fav out of the series. Gives me hope of a possible Elder Scrolls: Skyrim style game and new WC RTS perhaps in the near future as I'm not a fan of WoW. The redesigns are pretty nice. However, the Dryad could be better as it is like her hair is hanging off of a long cone of some sort. Looks too alien. Doesn't have that sweet, innocent look as previous concept art suggest for the character in the original WC3. Portrait for Dryad needs to be better as eyes are a bit bug eyed. Wisp portrait needs to change to something a bit more spiritual like sense. The archers shouldn't lean as forward as they are, no slouching.
