I’ve suffered from severe chronic insomnia since Sept 2020. I often went 3-4 days in a row without a minute of sleep and the days I did sleep I would get only 1-3 hrs. This went on for 2 years and It was absolute torture. Nothing worked. I’m now using trazodone (which sometimes doesn’t work beyond giving me 2-3hrs) to assist w sleep and, after about 2.5 yrs of almost not sleeping at all, I feel like a rock star when I get 5 hrs of sleep!

@@EffectivePickyEatersSolutions Thanks for that info! what do you take when you’re alternating? My doctor has suggested only this so far. I’ve been on it for a year and my dose has gone up 4x bc it stops working. I started at 50g and I’m now at 200g. I’d really just like to sleep naturally again but that doesn’t happen

@@foxxycleopatra615 apparently doctors instead of offering something else just suggest to increase of dosage. I found perimenopause/menopause threads on reddit where I learned that you get to used to almost any sleep meds. My doctor prescribed hydroxyzine pamoate 25mg, it was much stronger then trazodone 50 so it's better to take it 12 hours before your wake time. I am on estrogen patch and progesterone and progesterone helps with sleeping so my sleep is not so bad just not ideal to function on my demanding life.

A little bit offtopic, but any advice how can I learn how to speak in such an engaging way, you taught it yourself with practice or did it come to you naturally? There's something about your videos that makes them hard for me to stop watching. You really got a talent for this, maybe you should consider making video about this topic in the future.
Also, personally I think I like this format much more than the interviews, keep it going.

I Would follow the work of Professor Alex Lyon, who has a great RUclips channel and John Maxwell. Watch your favorite communicators and mimic some of their best speaking qualities. Then watch yourself in the mirror and practice. Remember practice makes perfect! I also think it’s important to remember not to hide your passion. You forgot to add to the list of why people don't get enough sleep...
They're a new mom or mom.
Becoming a mom is next level exhausting. Never getting long stretches of sleep. Being up for hours in the night. Half sleeping. Never deep sleeping.
I've experienced psychosis and sleep paralysis and extreme horrible nightmares any moment I get to sleep.
What do you recommend for that? (Besides try sleeping when the baby sleeps in the day)

For example, if my hub is about 95 kg and me about 58 - should we use the same weight blanket or better to buy 2 different ones ? Also, is it useful for kids such kind of blankets ? Thanks . Marina

Weighted blankets are great for kids and adults. The blanket that I personally use is around 10 KG for King bed. Everyone likes different weights, with kids, probably a lighter weight compared to adults. Yes, you can find them on Amazon, but also could probably do an online search for best weighted blankets.
