Thank you so much for your tutorial! You went though every step thoroughly! A lot of stuff other people skip in tutorials, you covered. Us beginners really Appreciate that because something people see as common sense, is not so common with us beginners! Thanks again!
Ashley, I love your tutorial on the Brother machine. You included every detail for us newbies. I did want to know where you got your monogram design file you used in this tutorial. Thanks Susie
I cannot wait to get home from vacation and try out my old "new to me" Brother PE535 waiting for me. I have seven grandkids and plan on doing lots for Christmas gifts. Love this applique!
You are clearly a professional. Great tutorial, very detailed. I would really struggle with hooping and managing the garnet but you made it look easy. Thank you.
Thanks for this video I'm new to embroidery machine and I'm learning a lot of things to help me. For instance I wasn't cutting the thread I was pulling it back up thru
I have this machine and now that you taught me how to use it, I’m exited to make some projects. Perhaps you can show how to do small items. Much appreciated. Thank you
Just found your video and I thank you very much. I was afraid to attempt applique on my single needle 4 x 4 Brother machine, but you have given me the confidence to try with your excellent step by step tutorial. Thank you once again.
I find hooping the garment way more secure especially if it’s an appliqué. And as you do, I always use poly mesh and cutaway. Always gives me excellent results and no puckering.
I have only found your RUclips channel today. So thank you Ashley for your excellent video. I am very new to machine embroidery and appreciated your help tremendously.
Loved this tutorial. You explained everything very well. Don't know if you have a tutorial on how to transfer files to embroidery machine, if not please do so.
Thank you much for taking the time to do these videos for us! I have learned so much! I was wondering if you would share where you purchased your stackable storage bins? I have been trying to reorganize my closet and can’t find any I like. Thank you! Sharon :)
Thank you for the Full Tutorial on the Brother PE machine. Ashley, can you possibility do a step by step full tutorial video on how to setup one of your Brother machines you have, from already having a hooped garment on a Mighty Hoop, to setting up the proper setting on the LCD of the machine, where one can find the hoop sizes, where one can find the design size, and how it can be changed if possible, plus tracing, etc. Also can please talk about what one should be aware of when working with the machine, and any suggestions, and tips you can offer. Thank you for any help you can offer via RUclips video for those that have the same machines you have and are just starting out. I sincerely appreciate you, thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for this! It’s exactly what I was looking for. What kind of thread do you have to use for the bobbin? Is it embroidery thread or just regular thread? Also are u using a specific embroidery needle?
I specifically use bobbin thread. It is a different weight than embroidery thread. The exact weight of bobbin thread recommended for each machine can vary.
Hi ashley. sorry for ask. can you please, write the name for the spray do you use for the stabilizer, please? i don't see in your list of supplies. Thank you so much for you tutorial. i loved you work.
I missed that on my list, so I just added it. I prefer KK100 by Gunold, it is the cheapest I've found *IF* you have a wholesale account with them. 505 is an okay alternative and easier to find locally or order from Amazon.
I have just got a used machine same as the one your currently using in this video and I have not been able to figure out how to use a design I bought off Etsy to embroider on a shirt not sure if you could give me any pointers how to get it going
The heat n bond is meant to secure the fabric to the garment to help keep it smooth with wash & wear. I would not suggest using wash away stabilizer behind the shirt as a stabilizer but the clear wash away stabilizer that goes on top of the garment can help with cleaner stitching. I personally do not use this often on items without a lot of pile or loft, that's just my preference!
Awesome tutorial ,thank you for doing this, how do I put a monogram together using the alphabets that came with the machine.thank you. I have a brother
I do not use the built in fonts on the machines. I buy pre-digitized fonts in BX format and set them up in Embrilliance (free version can save fonts from bx fonts!).
I prefer to use polyester embroidery thread. There are many brands available online, but most will work okay though some are better quality than others.
I need help with using this on a crochet project. I made afghans and I'm afraid to use mine on the embroidery machine. I have those same machine and only played around with it when i first got it many hears ago. I now have to learn all over again. Also. I have the scan and cut vinyl machine and I can San my own drawings to it to cut is there a way I can use my own designs on this older one. I know they have came a long way.
There's not a direct way to scan an image to embroider on this machine. It would need to be digitized in software on a computer. There are some newer machines that will auto-digitize drawings, but they are much larger/expensive machines.
I took it slow and step by step for the tutorial. On my multineedle it would be less than 20 minutes and I charge a flat rate of $29 for bodysuits/shirts.
Just about any software will work, it does not have to be machine specific. I use Sew What Pro (SWP), but Embrilliance Essentials is a more popular and still affordable option. I believe both have free demo versions to try them out before purchasing.
Ashley, could you please tell me which side of a female jacket do I put the embroidery name? I will be sewing a bomber jacket for myself and I want to add my name to it. How many inches down from the Neck or shoulder?
I do a logo on the left and name on the right. When there's no logo/icon, I do left side by default unless the customer asks otherwise. I do about 6" +/- down from the shoulder seam.
Thank you so much for your tutorial! You went though every step thoroughly! A lot of stuff other people skip in tutorials, you covered. Us beginners really

Great tutorial. It's nice to see you go back and do a tutorial on a flatbed machine.
I cannot wait to get home from vacation and try out my old "new to me" Brother PE535 waiting for me. I have seven grandkids and plan on doing lots for Christmas gifts. Love this applique!
Have fun!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I would sincerely appreciate more videos that I can use on my 4 by 4 as I learn to do the applique designs.
I agree! I want to learn more about this size hoop and what is possible for projects❤️
You are clearly a professional. Great tutorial, very detailed. I would really struggle with hooping and managing the garnet but you made it look easy. Thank you.
😁 ABOUT TIME SOMEONE SHOWED A ONE NEEDLE BROTHER MACHINE RECENTLY 👍🥳
Thanks for this video I'm new to embroidery machine and I'm learning a lot of things to help me. For instance I wasn't cutting the thread I was pulling it back up thru

Very good video. You made it easy to follow, thank you so much for this video. I can’t wait to try,
Thanks for the idea of using two different kinds of stabilizers!
Hi! Love your video. When floating the fabric I’m confused why you turn it inside out. Wouldn’t the design be in the shirt then? Thanks!
Thank you so much! I enjoyed your video. It was very informative and I will be checking your playlist for more flatbed machine videos.

The white bins in my closet that I use for blanks? They were from Walmart about 8-10 years ago. I've unfortunately not found them since 😞
Thank you for this tutorial. I am wanting an embroidery machine but don't know where to start.
I hope this helped. There's a learning curve but so fun!

The multineedles are on my list for next! (Both mighty hoops and fast frames).
@@AshleyMonograms HOORAY !!!! Thank You
Great detailed instructions. Love your videos.
So cute! Does the design include the placement stitch and tack down or do you add that to the design?
The design comes with it! (And most, if not all, purchased applique designs do! )
Thank you so much for this! It’s exactly what I was looking for. What kind of thread do you have to use for the bobbin? Is it embroidery thread or just regular thread? Also are u using a specific embroidery needle?

this is darling!
Thanks for the tutorial. Can you please tell me what size niddle are you using?
I just double checked, they are 75/11 Ballpoint (Organ Brand). I updated the description with an Amazon link.
Thank you 😊

I have a pe535 and I’m new to this I don’t know if I have a tension issue or the density is wrong but it’s not coming out the way your stitches are
This was very helpful, thank you! I'm a total novice at this, what kind of thread does this machine use?
I prefer to use polyester embroidery thread. There are many brands available online, but most will work okay though some are better quality than others.
Excelente, me encantó , 🙂 gracias por enseñarnos.
To do home tea shirt printin embroidery which machi best
Can I use any material for the appliqued part of the design?
Most fabrics will work but cotton is the most common.
You talk nice and slow thank you so much for posting.
Hi! thank you for your tutorials! Can you turn your volume up? I appreciate it! thanks!
It should be better with any future videos!
The purple item you used. Was that HTV Vinyl?
It was actually a glitter cotton fabric but I do often use Glitter HTV.
I need help with using this on a crochet project. I made afghans and I'm afraid to use mine on the embroidery machine. Did you say you are using silhouette pro as your design space?
I typically use Sew What Pro for my embroidery editing.
Hi Ashley could you please tell me where this design is from? Thank you. 😊
Hi,
It's from Embroidery-boutique.com
Thank you!😊
Awesome
What weight poly mesh do you use? And the cut away stabilizer is it a specific weight?
I find they are so stiff , I only use cut away
I use 1.5oz polymesh from Allstitch. I find it much more flexible and thinner than traditional cutaway!
I make my own baby onesie
Hello, is this machine compatible with Windows 10 OS?
I use it with a windows 10 laptop. It only requires the computer to transfer the design.
Where do you get your appliqué?
I believe it was from embroidery-boutique.com
Hi where did you get the desighn it's very nice
It's from embroidery-boutique.com
How much would you charge for this Onsie? It took a long time.
I took it slow and step by step for the tutorial. On my multineedle it would be less than 20 minutes and I charge a flat rate of $29 for bodysuits/shirts.
Looking for software I can get for this same machine! I’m new and looking for pretty designs! Please help
