  • No mindless shredding this time, just a little melodic piece i wrote.
I was aiming for a "Brian May" type "singing" tone, and i let you be the judge of whether i did succeed or not...

Beautiful tone and of course awesome playing! Sounds pretty close to Brian May's tone IMO.

Dear Henky, I own a G5 with the ashbass mod. In terms of sound wich do you think is better the G5 or G5n? Are they equal?
The cabinet emulation comes to mind. Also is patch sharing limited in the G5n or same as the edit and share of the G5?
Sorry for the questions, but I think you are among the best in achieving usable tones on these fantastic Zoom MFX!

In terms of sound none is better, they're just different. Cabinet emulation might be a little better but also takes up an extra slot of the 9 slots and the amp sims take up 2 slots so you'll need 3 slots for something the G5 can do with one slot. The Edit & Share software does not work with the G5n instead you got the Zoom guitar lab software however it's crap. All in all i think the G5 is better. For more information you can also check out my G5n review on the Gear Page:
