Many of us still wanted beautiful nails, many of us may even use doing our nails & nail art as a way to cope, & I’m so grateful for the wonderful teachers like you, who are so generous with that knowledge! I love YN Products too!

    My problem is that I tend to be such a perfectionist when it comes to the cuticle edge.....I really need to work on this! I have switched from using tips to using forms and I LOVE IT! My nails underneath feel so good.....they feel really natural....when I wore tips my fingernails actually hurt, but now that I have a set on and I used forms, I am not experiencing that pain at all. I am so thankful to you Greg, for being such a great teacher and not only explaining but showing how it's done. I'm a visual learner so it helps tremendously to see how it is actually done. Thanks Greg!

    When I was 21 I took cosmetology class to learn how to do nails, and I used to do acrylics for myself and for my grandmother I did not have any experience at all. Our nails were extremely messy, but I was learning. I think it’s a perfect idea. Spending money every single month. I want to learn how to do that. In 2020 during Covid, I learn how to do regular gel nails. Every month I do my grandmother‘s manicure in gel. I do my own gel pedicure just to save money, and spend $30 every month for my refills and gel manicure.

    When you pulled the acrylic forward on the left side there was a small gap between the acrylic & sidewall. After you were done filing the gap was gone.
    I have this problem almost every time I do a fill. But after I file the gap is still there.
    How do you make it look blended when there was no acrylic applied in that small gap?

    • @gloriakois3518
      @gloriakois3518 4 года назад +4

      I agree. "in the real world" once this grows out, wouldn't it cause problems. I have crazy cuticle clients and I struggle with blending and trying to make sure there's enough coverage and strength.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  4 года назад +14

      That's why it is important to have protein bond prior to your gel top coat because the gel can smooth in any missing spots leaving a flush finish. It is better to be shy of the cuticle/side walls than in contact because contact will guarantee lifting issues. The gel top coat can fill in any gaps

I’m not professional so, I’d like to know if I have to remove all of the dip and start w the tip and acrylic? How to do refill for pinched nails? If there’s grow “down at the end of the nail (tip).The correction bothers me. Some always remove nails and renew but is there another way ?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад

      If you are filling a stiletto or coffin shaped nail that is tightly pinched, as it grows out, that pinch will grow out as well. The only way to maintain that tight pinch is after a few fills, clip off the free edge and re-sculpt and re-pinch the extension. Here's a great video to show you how and why you need to do this. ruclips.net/video/ygqaHJapKco/видео.html

    I have a question what if I don’t have protein to put on after filling it is there anything else I can do

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 года назад

      Your top coat will still adhere, but the Protein Bond is just added insurance. It will also ensure the nail looks crystal clear and you don't see any filing scratches. So if you don't use the Protein Bond, you will have a smooth finish, but you may still see the slightest filing lines. Cleanse the nail with Swipe as best as you can to avoid seeing them.

      A ledge can occur when the acrylic is not smooth to the surface of your natural nail. Being flush to the natural nail is just a way of saying smooth, by a smooth application as shown here, and refining the shape when file finishing.

      YoungNailsInc Oh ok I understand now. Meaning the ledge = what you could pick at like stated in the video. Thank you, I understand both now.

      As he states at the end, that small area will be sealed with the top coat.

    I'm sorry, I'm a OCD nail tech and that left side is going to hook into something.
