  • Welcome to my most ambitious effort yet, AND the most high-octane, tinfoil-hat fueled one yet! Spoilers for the 3.2 Archon Quest. Note: This is HEAVY speculation and theorizing - I'm probably wrong on most, if not every, front - so take with a grain of salt. :)
    Here, I summarize Legend of the Shattered Halberd, written by the mysterious Mr. Nine (who also wrote Flowers for Princess Fischl). Is Mr. Nine using fiction to hide some secrets of the past? Does the King of Khaenri'ah, Irmin, have more connection with Celestia and the heavenly principles than previously thought? Does Legend of the Shattered Halberd give us a hint as to why there's no Celestial Nail on Tsurumi Island? And will Kaeya ever get a break from having to run around and pose as I propose wild, unhinged lore theories???

      My God. Genshin is rich with lore. With the new revelation of 3.3. I wonder just how many of these books are true. (But my question then would be why write in allegory by these authors? Is it because they too want to get the truth out indirectly? Or maybe that's just how they can understand it?)

    The tie in between kaeya’s grandfather’s sword and how the legend of shattered halberd implies the celestial nails are swords literally made my jaw drop, I definitely think that’s what it is!!!
    It also reminds me how Dainsleif is referred to as the twilight sword and how at the end the volume seemed to imply the nails could be sentient people. It would be a little strange but maybe that’s what dainsleif is?

      Also explains how Ei got the blueprint for the divine puppets if Khaenri’ah was transforming nails into people.

    Irmin a sage of khanreiah entered the Axis mundi and connected his consciousness with the great tree. This is where the in-game lore about a sage hanging from a tree comes from.
    Later he gained vast knowledge into the workings of teyvat and started an age of development, while naming himself king.
    P.S. Mr Nine used the shattered helberd story as an allegory to save himself from the reset

    I always felt like there's more to Khaenriah's identity as a nation, like how it was possible for them to not have a God when all the other nations did yet there was the presence of celestial elements (ex: primordial star-eyed people), so when you said they had a Divine ruler, I completely agree!! I strongly believe Khaenri’ah could be the "Kingdom established among the heavens" described in the BattlePass cutscene!
    I feel like Hoyo has us so distracted by Khaenri’ah being known for its tech, we're overlooking why would an entire civilization have primordial star eyes (or at least many of them), a symbol strongly associated & linked with the heavens!
    (Ex: Kaeya, Dainsleif, etc.).
    Khaenri’ah being the kingdom established among the heavens would make so many pieces regarding abyss sibling & the story in general, fall into place- if they're the fallen heir, it’d explain why abyss sibling's fate became tied to Teyvat as well as their connection to Khaenri’ah, not to mention their current role of being controlled/connected to dark forces that relate to both of those events (Khaenri’ah + abyss creatures), where the mysterious kingdom is, etc.
    Additional supporting reasons: irminsul/ leylines being connected to the heavens/Celestia just like the presence of primordial star eyes found in Khaenri'ah. Bough meaning the main branch of a tree (referring back to branches of the leylines/Irminsul) & Dainsleif is referred to as the "Bough keeper", translating to guard/keeper of the leylines/Irminsul that we know are connected to the heavens/Celestia. It further deepens the possibility for Khaenri'ah being the kingdom established among the heavens & makes sense for Dainsleif to be the keeper of the leylines/Irminsul if he's from the kingdom established among the heavens & he failed at that duty for whatever reason yet to be revealed to us relating to the unknown god that likely caused the calamity of Khaenri'ah. Who else would be tasked with protecting the leylines/Irminsul of the heavens than someone from the kingdom of the heavens?
    Also, it's already been confirmed the 8th element is called the "omne" element (which is the light element/all 7 of the other elements combined). Celestia resides over/controls all of the elements, so to me it makes most sense for this element that comprises of all the others (omne element) to originate in the kingdom established among the heavens, which just so happens to be the element traveler has who comes from Khaenriah. That's also explain why we don't see the 8th & final element anywhere in Teyvat (that again is confirmed very real). The travelers coming from Khaenriah combined with this being their original power, is very telling of who they are (& why in their character menu we're told we will ascend the throne at the end of the game).
    I could be wrong on all these conclusions, but I don't think it's completely unreasonable!

    • @dakshmavi3428
      @dakshmavi3428 Год назад +14

      Your point of an entire civilization having a primordial starred eye does make sense. cause in the book its written that, Irmin pierced the Axis mundi and connected the realm and his replicas populated the heavens. Replicas have same features as the original one, and so do all Khaenrian people have a star in their eyes. If the replicas populated the heavens, then the heavens could be khaenriah. Besides the only connection (so far we know) between the teyvat realms is the Irminsul. And Asura is a hindi word meaning Demon.

    Kaeya and his voicelines!! 😭 I love him so much.
    I also don't think he's telling lies, but more like speaking in code just like these fairytales.
    As for Khaenri'ah being godless. Perhaps they weren't defined by their beliefs as either believers of Celestia or godless? Maybe they didn't have an Archon, but a God king with some ancestral ties to divinity?
    Dainsleif himself makes a point of Khaenri'ah having no god, and being the peak of human development, so I don't think it's necessarily false. Even in the travail he speaks of humans having their humanity and that prevailing over the Gods....idk.

    • @roozeveltfox
      @roozeveltfox  Год назад +6

      yes! Kaeya voicelines, I need more 🙏
      re: Khaenri'ah. I agree, and a point I wish I had made in retrospect that even IF (and a big IF) they had a god, their relationship was very different, still emphasizing human achievement over divinity. so even if there was a hierarchy with a god king, there was still a much greater focus on humanity's growth vs. being ruled. If that makes sense!

    yayyy another videoooo! I love your analysis and videos.
    the phrase “God-King”, comes from the ancient Egyptians, their pharaohs were called god kings because they believed god lived through them.
    In modern media, like in divinity, the god king is a heretic looking to punish the 7 gods for killing his nation. So he was cast into the void and there he built a new dark order with the purpose of avenging the past.
    and another fun fact, Deshret was called a “God-King”. Which leads me to believe that Mr.nine confused the celestial emperor with the God King? Like how enkanomiyans weren’t sure if phanes is PO or the second who came.
    Again thank you for videoooo

    • @roozeveltfox
      @roozeveltfox  Год назад +5

      aw thank you! Yeah, it was a super confusing read at first because Mr. Nine uses Celestial Emperor and God King interchangeably without ever actually clarifying that they're supposed to be the same (unless it translates differently in CN, i guess).
      Deshret is so interesting. Before this update I did draw a lot of parallels between him and Irmin. Mostly basic stuff, like running a powerful nation outside of Celestia's rule, all the high-tech enemies, eventually succumbing to forbidden knowledge. But after reading Flower of Paradise Lost and learning that he also wanted to rebel (and that lead to the Goddess of Flowers' demise), sheeesh.

    Oh WOW, what a freaking awesome video. So much lore connected here, I was vibrating when we got to Kaeya's voicelines, lol. Also bringing back that comment I made weeks ago on your statuets theory vid, after Nahida revealing that its possible to hide truths in fairytale's metaphors, I instantly thought of FLowers for Fischl (and of course, Pale Princes, our long-lost mystery). Mr Nine is such an NPC of interest now, and my bet is that he isnt special per se, but he has some kind of access to old information like you said. Maybe he has old tomes or some sort of artifact telling this chunk of Khaenri'ah history? I feel that after Sumeru we will be getting a lot of these bombs a lot more frequently, let's see what they will tell us on 3.4 with the other chunk of the desert unlocked, and what seems YET another frostnail resting in the ruins under the sandstorms. I finally got around to reading the Shattered Halberd and was completely shocked at the Irmin name drop. I immediately ran to google/reddit to find others' thoughts on this story, and stumbled upon your video! I definitely thought of the celestial nails, as well, when the story described the swords' effects.
    However, and considering your comment about how these stories may be a mixing of different metaphors and references, I couldn't help but think to the Traveler (or maybe our sibling, given their ties to the Abyss Order?) and their journey across Teyvat to collect the different blessings. I know there are only seven nations/elements, but if you consider Khaenri'ah/Abyss and Celestia/the heavens, then it could equate to nine.
    Idk, maybe this is me stretching too far, but there is just something eerily echoing here about all this given the whole two companions collecting tokens of the different realms, one being the daughter of a celestial king (Paimon?), the other having sacrificed an eye (Dainsleif? I know he has both eyes, but with that mask & how prevalent the one eye theme is with those from Khaenri'ah?)... Is it just me? lol

    Sorry that my question isn't about the video or theory at all, but what is that turtle in the background of Nahida's teaser ?

    • @roozeveltfox
      @roozeveltfox  Год назад +3

      the only in-game reference I can remember for turtles is during Aranyaka when one of the kid talks about an elephant on a turtle's back... which seems to be a reference to the world elephant and the world turtle upon which a flat earth rests? I've honestly done little to no research on this, but it could be interesting! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turtles_all_the_way_down

      Now that I think about it, it won't be that big of a stretch for a world turtle to exist in Genshin as Irminsul only controls the flow of elements, memories/souls and information, which is further confirmed by the broken vase and the unknown voice in the end of the 3.3 archon quest

    If irminsul can delete people from everyone enemy i have a theory that am not sure about is that in raiden story that the khaenri'ah got destroy has unknow god cube in it the theory is that unknow god delete herself from everyone memory and made the archon think they are the one that destroy khaenri'ah
