- The FMS A-10 Warthog v2 fixed all of the issues the previous version had, and it's a real joy to fly. It's got a huge presence in the sky that doesn't require a lot of jet experience to enjoy. This RC plane might be up your alley, and we'll help you save some dough on it.

Been flying my FMS A-10 for about 2 months now and love it. Just recently tried some SMC Hi Voltage packs (6200s) and you can tell the difference. I just love the way this plane flies. My buddy has the FW and there's some notable difference especially in landing. The FMS A-10 slows nicely on landing whereas the FW seems to have issues. Plus the arctic scheme just really pops in the sky. So happy I went with the FMS version.
And you can fly the 70mm on a single battery instead of needing two - that's a huge plus that people don't often seem to consider. Six batteries gets you three flights on the 80, but six flights on the 70. Seems like a better deal in general.
Added the Model Sounds Inc Shockwave 3 Sound System and flies terrific.
Just wanted to say thank you for your videos the nuggets of info you drop especially for landings has helped me a great deal!
Happy to hear that, John!
I absolutely love my fms a10 v2. I fly off a Grass field. and the wheel pods are not the strongest but with some Good epoxy and 4 barbeque skewers it holds up Much better!!
Nice flight yeah they are nice from FMS.
11:18 Luck 🍀 was on your side here
Wow, lookie how green and lush it is, we don't get leaves on our trees until June and everything is windblown and brown here at 7200 feet in Wyoming. My runway is a dirt road too. Today so far is one of the nicest days of this year and I'm ready to go fly.
I have an old balsa Projet A-10, so I'm curious about this thing.
RC Wyoming! I share the same pain! Teton County, where are you?
Great flying Jon. The FMS A-10 imo is a better all a around version. Nice work on the camera, crew.
Thank u🎉
Another great vid. I love my FW 80mm A-10 but the single battery is a notable difference and advantage. The FMS looks more agile. Maybe it’s the size difference.
It's probably more of a difference in throws. Our A-10 has maxed out throw, so it can really get scooting around in rolls or in aggressive pitching.
Please do a set up video of the differential thrust. My taxi way is narrow as well and I would benefit from that feature. Any links for the tires?
Dude!....You just saved me $100 on this! I had this on Backorder since March and was not expecting it to ship until May from another ...Ummm...Site. Thanks for the Discount Code.
We're happy to help! The discount codes are fantastic savings for anything on FMSHobby.com. Let us know what you think of the A-10 when you get it!
This review will settle the quandary I find myself in with choosing between the FMS, EF and FW version(s) of this beloved plane. I really dis-like the glue-on tail, cheap servos, cheap hinges and ESC programming headaches on the EF version. Your comparison settled my dilemma between the FW version and the FMS ( although, I LOVE my FW Avanti and L-39 - even more so than my EF 90mm Viper). I will be breaking open the piggy-bank on this one. I opened your discount link - I assume the code is applied at check-out? I just didn't see it mentioned when I opened the link. Maybe I am just too obtuse to know how it works exactly. Anyway, it is awesome to have such comparison videos to help those of us who do not have the luxury of having all these choices in our hanger. Thank you for help! Dale.
Happy to hear you enjoyed the vid! Unfortunately, in the past few months FMS scaled back their discount codes, so the jets now only work with the code FMS2NR which is 5% off - still not a bad deal, better than paying full price.
Great job! The folks at our club love your videos!
I almost picked one up at my local brick-and-mortar; it would have been my first EDF. Instead, I bought the e-flight A-10 for a first. I like your channel; I'm learning a lot from it.
We'd recommend going with something like a Viper 70mm as your first trainer jet, but a 64mm A-10 isn't a bad choice either.
You reckon about 4mins of spirited flying on the 5300? Ah that lv landing was perfection haha 👌
About as perfect as a low voltage landing will get haha
Four minutes sounds about right. You could run a HV 6200 pack from SMC and get another minute or two - it'll just fly a little heavier.
I only have the Dynam versiom, still not bad for a laugh, but hell yea gonna grab one of these once in stock in NZ, Hope you do the setup vid, this is the channel you can rely on 👍
We totally wanted to do it but didn't have a transmitter with which to do it. It arrives today so we'll shoot a setup next time we have this jet filmed.
@@TwoBrosRC lookin forward to it!
Gidday Kiwi! Oh, how I miss living in NZ. I had a chance to return as a helo pilot for the NZ police - really regret not doing that. NZ is awesome! How is the RC flying there?
@@dalezesiger9873 I finally picked up the FMS V1 and the Eflite 1.2 A10, love them both! The flying here is alright, but it's been constantly windy as hell for weeks! Apart from that and the price of planes here, bloody good! Hope you get to visit again sometime soon 👍
Great flight, video and commentary! Lots of good information.
You like those SMCs huh. Im gonna try them for my freewing v2 80 mill.
They're the best batteries on the market right now.
I've recently bought the FMS v1 A10. Could you briefly list the issues you say have been fixed by the v2. I have yet to fly my v1. Whilst at it, what size Dubo low bounce wheels do I need. I will measure what I've got but useful to know what you have fitted. Many thanks.
This should all be covered in the initial review of the A-10: ruclips.net/video/elV0nE7AgBA/видео.html
Just crashed my FW A10 due to stupid aileron servo jammed up during flight....now I'm looking into getting the FMS A10. Just wonder only one of your discount codes applies to the A10 order right, not both? Thanks for the discount code BTW.
Which one isn't it applying to? There should only be one A-10 on FMSHobby.com
Very nice model!
For someone with no Jet experience and also a new pilot is this something that you could expect one could have as a 1st Jet when experience allows say after a year or two? I would think the size and shape of the wings would make it easier than a fighter jet for example? I really love this arctic livery with the black and want to get one before they're gone even if I don't fly it for a while. I love the TigerCat F7F too but it is also so expensive I would hate to crash either one. Thoughts?
We usually recommend the Viper 70mm as a first jet because it's much cheaper than the A-10 and will also help you learn how to fly bigger jets due to how it stalls: bit.ly/Viper70V2
Check our vid on it and you'll see what we mean: ruclips.net/video/cJ63fRoKlHY/видео.html
@@TwoBrosRC Thanks for the reply. Maybe I'll stick with prop stuff for now and consider an HK B-17 for a large warbird slow flyer with it 4 counter rotating props and admire the A-10 from afar, for the foreseeable future.
Do you set up crow with this A-10? I just installed an 8 channel receiver in my Eflite A-10 so I can add crow and spoilers.
No crow, just differential thrust. It lands well without crow.
Awesome flying Skill. Do you use the super lite wheels from dubro ?
Not on this model. Low-bounce wheels made of rubber were our first choice for upgrading.
I'm looking at a freewing twin 64mm a-10. It's been a while since I've flown but curious on your input on this plane. I'm also looking at a freewing f22 90mm. Thanks
We've never heard anything good about the 64mm FW A-10. The F-22 is a solid jet, though: ruclips.net/video/dvJXxblRdRA/видео.html

@@TwoBrosRC fantastic video. Really well edited. Going with the f22. Thanks
Dang have to go to school. Have fun without me 😢
That's OK, you can always catch up later on!
Awesome flight! Do you think you’ll get the 80mm for a comparison?
Probably not, it's really expensive and we've already got two A-10s. But it is something to consider though.
Your discount codes aren’t working for me is it because I’m in Canada?
It looks like there's no Canadian warehouse with the A-10 in stock, which is likely why you're getting an error. Sorry about that!
Hsd T33 does the same pop out in knife edge !
if i think of RC jets i think of you guys😂😂😂😂
There's worse things to be known for!
20 pizza boxes is one of the most American measurements I've heard. What's messed up is I immediately understood what he ment...
Yeah I'm American...
🍕
Where can i get those Dubro tires?
The 2.5" mains can be found via this link: amzn.to/3Nf0txu
The nosewheel should be a 1.75" or 2" wheel.
Horizon also has them. If you are military, they offer free shipping on everything, which is an awesome deal from HH. BTW, I'm impressed that you fly the 767. Awesome plane! Dale, US military retired Master Aviator.
How much is the BRRRRTTTTTTTTT upgrade?
Some kind of sound system for about $100 probably.
Nice free or what
Do what now?
I think you're a really good reviewer but all we see on your channel is the same stuff everybody else shows , it's good night for me .
Almost nobody else flies Precision Aerobatics aircraft or makes tutorials for you.
