It's wider than the stock Xmaxx, the tires are better, the LCG is going to be more stable, and the body is better protected than the Xmaxx. And it looks like the body isn't going to fly away after big crashes. And it's geared more aggressive than the Xmaxx. All good things! Thanks for the video

Good review. Don't forget that they do have a center diff it's just that the cush drive is too protect the gears from shock and it's a separate 2 gear set👍💯

NOT AVAILABLE YET, I ordered one directly from Traxxas headquarters and they shipped it, the day I was suppose to get it, I got a notice from UPS saying to contact the vendor, I did so, they said they sent it out by mistake due to an error and was not ready to ship yet, so now I do not have the truck and they said they do not know when I will get one. Yes I did pay for it completely, but UPS had to leave it on the truck. it ticked me off that I cannot get it and I paid for it.

Great review! Do you know the weight of the tires? Do you think they would work on an Xmaxx?
These are 17mm , I think xxmaxx 24mm so you have change the hexes . The axles probably the same . I like these wheels too they look great no balloning
Wonder what arrma is about to do in respond to these a bigger beef up fire team will b just right. The kraton 8s is a bit big n heavy n the 6s is a bit small. Nevertheless customers win when theres manufacturer competition.

1000.00 is a large chunk of green to put into a toy I think I by another brand and use the saving’s to upgrade.
You had me until you said it’s more durable than Arma. I just took it out for the first time my new XRT, and either the motor or the gears just went. 20 minutes of break in and just driving up and down my road. lol. All of a sudden it said grrrccshkdkxjdjcb. lol.

@@ParkflyersRC Ended up being the gears. I knew that’s was it probably was, I was just a little miffed since it was its maiden run. I now wish I would’ve pull her skirt up a bit and beat on it. At least it would’ve been fun and made sense. lol.
Another truggy design. I'll stick with my UDR and Xmaxx. IMHO a truggy should be 1/8 or 1/10th scale.
I love both my arrma's Have only broke one diff Only maintenance I do as if I decide to go heavier or thicker with fluid
Yea definitely thought his dig at arrma center diffs was weird. I have 23 arrmas and this XRT going to be my first traxxas but I never have problems with my arrma center diffs.
And if they're listening they need to do better with their electronics and a servo

You are right about that one. Servos are trash but I still like Traxxas. Just have to pay more to play. I wouldn’t classify it as a racing Truggy ether I’d just say a truggy basher. 🤷🏻♂️
I've had to replace every single chassis on all my arrma trucks. The tires on the EXB K8S suck. They explode with big power. The chassis was bent within a few jumps. So I guess I'm a sucker for Arrma too? I'll just wait for a new roller XRT so that I can put my own electronics. The upgraded Xmaxx servo is good enough for my style of bashing. But yeah, the stock ESC is not that good for sure. And the stock servo is OK, but it didn't last long with my crazy driving.
@@joseCalderon1976 My Xmaxx servo went out under the first 10 drives if that. I didn’t even bash it, just my lawn and gravel driveway. Then the tire blew off while driving in a circle. 🤯. They did warranty the tire but not my servo. My Kraton 8s takes a beating and is soooo much easier to wrench on. I like both brands and have 5 Traxxas rigs but tend to lean towards Arrma for quality and longevity. Traxxas just makes me mad for $1,000 it shouldnt have plastic geared servos period. Trying to be excited for this XRT but it doesn’t do much for me.
@@Evergreen085 I upgraded mine after the ECS shat itself after going through a puddle.I upgraded to a Hobbywing ESC & upgraded servo parts & got the upgraded Traxxas servo 2085x & had no problems.Good thing with the Xmaxx is you can get a Russian made Body which is indestructible I got the Dodge Ram.I also got metal shock caps but haven't needed to install them yet.
I also got Castlemaine twin fans.
Kind of nitpicking, what RTR comes with a killer servo out of the box? The gears and hubs on my Xmaxx are still the original ones that came on the kit, why replace something that has never been a problem?
Seems like a decent truggy. But, I'm not too impressed. I already own several truggys. It doesn't seem woth while to invest in yet another one. If I were to buy something like this, I would probably go with the X-Maxx. I prefer the monster truck height and stance.
Same boat, the monster truck just feels so different and it looks badass. But when bash my race truggy its so nice to not even worry about rolling over. Idk maybe an xrt with big tires and someone will eventually make a truck body for it. Add xmaxx shocks and boom lcg monster truck
Pick up my Special Edition XRT today to go alongside my Xmaxx.. Figured why not have the best of both worlds 🤷🏻♂️
"Way more reliable than Arrma cars" really bro? As an rc enthusiast, I was listening and taking your video all in until that. I own a ton of brands, this vehicle hasn't been out long enough to make that statement. You don't have to down one to lift another. I love my Arrma and Traxxas cars. And FYI I just picked up one of these..it's in a box looking at me.

@@Lucas.stalcup The Raminator is actually true 1/4-scale, which is rare. True 1/5th vehicles include the Losi 5ive-T, HPI Baja (and its clones), and a few others.
@@lexsteel12 Actually Traxxas never called the XRT (or the X-Maxx) as 1/5th-scale...they know better. Morons on RUclips, however, do refer to it as 1/5th.

Every comment is not to be taken in black and white. When I say they don’t balloon, I’m trying to explain that they are not like a sledgehammer or the talon tires. Not sure if there’s a way to get a measuring tape out as the thing is spinning at HRPM however, trust me I’ve been doing this for 25 years and these tires do not balloon like the typical traxxas tire. also try to have respect when you write on someone’s page… you sound like an angry man.
A lot of people like my opinions and take my advice and appreciate the videos I make I take the time to test these things and give an honest opinion. Try not to be so negative.
I know they must have sent this thing to you but did you really just say the drivetrain's more durable than a arrma get out of here you can't do nothing you can't do nothing with the damn thing other than the stock system where you rip the differentials out of it every 2 seconds don't get me wrong I love my x-maxx but don't tell people something that may not be necessarily true there everybody knows Traxxas to drive trains made out of Pot metal and I'm not taking nothing from Traxxas or from this truck it may be amazing but if it's got the same differentials the other next Max does you cannot put no power to him or they are going to disintegrate and that's facts
The differentials are fine, its the spur, pinion and center shaft that are garbage

I hear ya. Stock servo is adequate like stated in video. 2085x is just better.
SO many biased reviews about this car so far just so the authors get more cars sent to them. Saying shit like it never flips over is ridiculous. Just look at the sledge riddled with problems from day one, traxxas dont give a shit once they have taken your money.
