@@joeneonturbo I put it on over my Meguiars coating and had zero issues but you are correct, it does say not to to top coatings with it. Like most products, it was streaky on warm panels but outside of that, it's an amazing product.
I use their waterless wash religiously. I use it as a spray detailer. After using a ton of products I’m super super happy with meguiars waterless wash. Super slick and buffs off perfectly
I use the paint glosser and I notice it’s much darker than everything else I used. Good way to show it on video I knew I wasn’t crazy. To me the gloss meter is useless because you don’t use a product for the reading but you use it for how it looks for your eyes.
Thank you Josh for all the videos that you put out, you teach us so many tips by saving us money, showing us what to buy, what not to buy, and what to do and not to do. Thank you. 👍🏽💯
Great comparison test on these products. The Meguiars Insane Shine Paint Glosser was clearly the best performing product in this group. Thanks for making us aware of this awesome product. Definitely the best on filling swirls and producing a major improvement in color saturation. Visually stunning!
I’m not a pro I just like to wash my car every weekend. Would this make a difference if I add it to my white car if I already use technicians choice ceramic spray at the end of every wash? If so, would it be before i use technicians choice or after?
nice video.. i'm buying the meguiars after seeing this.. strange how the p&s gloss readings were so high yet the finish didn't turn out as good as the others.
This is - at least for me,the best car detailing channel on YT.Breaks it all down and helps us weekend diyers get great results. So i can speak with truth that these are really good products. Not tryng to sway anyones opinion and Josh does have another video on it - Technicians Choice TEC582 is my goto. Its truly spitting hairs because they all - if applied properly - give greats results. 582 was my winner only because it seemed to handle everything really well -front bumper to back.Im lazy and enjoy easy. But i like the fact that we have good choices to choose from.Happy cleaning.
Quick question: When Meguiars says not to put it over coatings, are they saying fully coated ceramic or graphene coated vehicles? I use turtle wax 3 in 1 detailer after washing which I believe adds some ceramic protection but of course isn't a full coating. Could I still use the Meguiars Insane Paint Glosser over the Turtle Wax 3 in 1? Great demonstration by the way!
Love the comment about "read the directions" Yes! - as God intended! Lol!... I always get a kick out the many comment sections where someone comments "this stuff sucks!" 9 out of 10 times - didn't follow directions or as bad - little to no paint preparation. Really good vid Josh. Just recieved the TW Detailer. I'm in Maine and have had 3+ feet of snow in the last 2 weeks..《🙄》so haven't had a chance to try it yet... Spring's coming! Shine on you crazy diamond!
These videos are effective. My one ton capacity cabinet is just about full of different waxes and polishes. I should box it all up and put out a table of give aways at the car wash. I'll keep the Turtle paste cleaner wax, Ice and spray shine.
Awesome video as always! Once the weather gets warmer I plan on using the Cerakote rapid ceramic on my red Candy Mustang. Any recommendations on what would be a good product to lay on top of the ceramic for additional shine? It just use more ceramic?
I used the cerakote yesterday for the first time.Itwas amazing but I did wash he car first then compounded then ipa wipe and I also clayed the car but it looks the best its ever been and it id take quite a few hours.
Have you noticed any difference with the Cerakote on different colors of cars. I was very impressed when I used it on my black car but not so much on some other colors.
You pretty much proved that gloss meter reading are irrelevant for toppers. What good does a gloss meter reading do when you can’t even tell with your own eyes? Good video.
Okay so I want to ask. Can or could I not ,mix the Ceramic coat then apply the maguairs afterwards????? -Firstly applying the ceramic coat then for the last finish to apply the maguairs?
Josh, after the recent rain in San Diego I’m having a lot of water spotting on my car that has the Cerakote ceramic spray coating. I’m wondering If you have had any of that with your vehicles?
Been following your channel for about 2 years now! My question is do you have a product you can recommend for paint protection/hydrophobic spray i can apply to a flat paint finish? It's actually a bed liner material that i thinned down with acetone so that it lays really flat and not bumpy or rough like a normal bed liner paint job. Just curious what products I could use to get that water bead up hydrophobic water run off. It does it to a certain extent because of the bed liner material already but I would like a little more.
What is the difference between Meguiar's 205 vs. 210? I tried calling them, but didn't get a very good response. In any case, I believe that there are better brands of polishes out there today. Thnx.
210 is essentially an improved version of 205. 210 is said to have finer abrasives for an improved finish over 205. Both of them dust too much for my tastes. But I've used both in cooler temps and they both give good results after 105/110 as part of a two step.
@@MrJRod891 I use Griot products all the time. Imho, they do not receive the respect they should. I am a professional detailer. If you are all. You can contact Griots garage directly. Super super nice people!
I have it’s what I use for my business , it’s great other then the dark fury because of the color I don’t like it but other then that formula 4 is great, they are all diluteble and that’s what I like about them plus they are good products
I actually did it that way when comparing the turtle wax one and the meguiars. ruclips.net/video/nVNHYEkU5lg/видео.html However I did it this way in this video because doing a polish will improve the gloss so I wanted to have it as unperfect as possible. I think most people will want a gloss improvement without going through the whole polishing process so I was trying to show which is best in that situation
The testing methodology is sorta wrong for these products. Shoulda used a properly finished panel with no haze and imperfections if the goal is to test and compare gloss.
I love the P & S personally. I know it to be really great. And also combined with bead maker. Not sure why…but it felt like you had a hard time giving it all the credit it deserved, for what the test was supposed to measure. Not so impressed by that honestly. I hope your partiality isn’t showing.
I’m not partial to any of the products. Visually it definitely performed the worst but as far as the gloss meter goes it won by far! I don’t think paint looking darker is everything and gloss can be more than just color depth so again according to the gloss meter it does exactly what the product states and does it very well! But it definitely didn’t hide as many defects as the meguiars did
People sleep on Meguiars because they are a mass market brand but they don't miss. Great products at a great price.
Well it doesn’t go on coatings so that’s off my list

The Turtle Wax R & D guy said that product can be layered & will increase gloss with additional layers.

I’ve tried the P&S and TurtleWax and the TW definitely gives a better gloss to my naked eye.

Why is darker better? That seems to be “artificial “ vs just better gloss/shine . you could add a darkening agent….
How good is Poorboy's World Ceramic Coating?
How can one remove a small bird poop stain from the paint ?
Spray it with a detail spray and wipe off with a clean microfiber cloth.

When you say "do not use on coated vehicles " what exactly do you mean. By coated do you mean PPF or ceramic coated?
The only way this would be fair would be to polish the entire thing first so everything is uniform, in my opinion.
