For those of you who are wondering, you hold the Xbox button for about 5 seconds and then hold the black sync button in front of your controller until it flashes and it should connect:)

See, I got this problem, I connect my Xbox controller via USB, it work all good for a few seconds and then disconnect, before that, the controller worked all good and I played for a lot of hours, and out of the blue this happened, furthermore I updated the controller, so, any solution or possible fix?
Maybe its empty and needs to get charged, i had the same issue.
i have similar controller but with usb connected to pc, it just randomly happens when i turn on pc to play some game with controller, it have rgb lights on it, but it doesnt respond, the way i fixed it temporarily by removing cable and put it back again, but i dont wanna keep doing it, is there some other way to reset controller, i tried to reset pc multiple times and i still need to remove cable and put it back again

I can never seem to get this to work for some reason. I've done exactly this even without looking up a tutorial and it just didn't work.
And the worst part is that it works absolutely flawlessly and really quickly on Linux. (Linux Mint specifically) So what's frustrating is that Microsoft can't even do proper pairing for their own products on their own operating system, but something like Linux which doesn't have proper support for all games just works and it works really well. I've always had issues with wireless connections, especially Bluetooth on Windows and it just gets me frustrated that I have to go through the same thing a million times before I can get it to work even somewhat.
Hope this isn't just me but I think Microsoft should do something about their Bluetooth pairing being so outright garbage.
Anyways I'll just be running the controller with a cable for now I guess. Just wanted to get this out there.
if your trying to pair your controller to your pc press and hold the pair button. If your trying to connect it back to the console click it twice fast.
Just buy a cheap controller which comes with bluetooth dongle😂😂 problem solved😂
Sorry, but this might be a dumb question but does the battery it comes with rechargeable? Also, what kind of cable do I need to plug it in?
You can use USB-C
The battery that comes along with an Xbox controller is not rechargable. I bought two pairs of battery from Amazon later on.

i have the exact same controller as you, when i plug it into my pc via a cable, the controller vibrate a little bit but nothing happens. the light doesnt go on or anything, not "seamless" like you said in the video. i dont have a bluetooth adapter on my pc so i cant do that either. any help with this?

I had to use a usb A to usb C for it to work. But I was hoping to finally make use of my usb C port on my motherboard for faster input... buuuut I'mma give some kudos to u for testing this on a Metroid game XD

Somehow my Bluetooth speaker was conflicting with my Xbox controller. I turned off the speaker and it worked just fine.
comparing this xbox's controller to the 360 one, I wish xbox 360 controllers weren't so greedy simply to connect into a computer, unlike series x's controllers

My bluetooth simply doesn't work. I don't have the usb cable and neither the xbox wireless adapter, so my only option is Bluetooth and it doesn't work.
I put batteries on, turn the controller on, hold the button to connect, then I go to the bluetooth are on my pc, search for devices and nothing appears. I'm just tired of trying.

Update the drivers for the controller, Update windows, update your display drivers, and then upair it and repair it. Make sure u click forget about device when u unpaired it

Hold the button on front of controller till it starts to blink white rapidly then goto Bluetooth settings on your PC and connect it. And make sure ur pressing the Bluetooth button on the front by the triggers not by the share button and logo.

Everything else connects to my PC fine, but the series x controller simply will not pair.... How complicated should this be?
Update. Read carefully when adding a blue tooth device in settings.... It says Xbox controller with wireless adapter.... DO NOT use this option, just use bluetooth option.
