Honestly, it's super basic inside but very well engineered. I'm not a PC guy but I replaced the thermal paste on the cpu with very little electronic knowhow. I used these new graphite pads that people recommended and it's been working well for almost a year.

Isopropyl alchohol(preferably 90% of higher) is great for lifting stickers. It disolves the adhesive, allowing you to easily lify the sticker. When the alcohol evaporates(quickly), it leaves behind 100% of the original adhesive. This allows you to re-adhere the sticker as if it had never been removed.

I recently cleaned out a PS3 slim I was given after seeing your videos. The slim was easy enough with its modular design. Three security screws made it a little difficult. Still I like it when manufacturers make it easier for us basic folks to look after our stuff. Like this video I unplugged the power supply, fan etc. The fan and heat sink definitely needed a clean. I found a soft old paint brush helpful and some cotton swabs.

I cleaned out my console earlier this year after I had a shutdown playing Resident Evil 2. Owner since launch, I indeed had a very dirty Xbox. Bought the necessary tools, followed a guide and had almost no issue cleaning it, with the most troubling thing being taking off the base plate. I had to brute for my T6 as I didn't have a flathead small enough to to fit. Its not hard at all, and there's almost zero risk if you are on a clean and flat surface. Trust your ability to be careful being the best advice here.

If they're going to make a slim or Pro version of the Xbox or PS5, I think 1 feature they should implement is making it more modular and easily accessible in terms of getting to some of the core components. That way it will make cleaning regularly easier. For PS5 they should have 2 expandable NVMe slots.

You should have advised people doing this to not allow the fan to spin when blowing it out. It won't always create problems but can bork the bearing if it spins out too fast. I'm not sure the quality of the fan's components but still best to be cautious. This is especially a danger for cleaning fans still attached to a board, as the motor can actually force a voltage to be sent back to the board.

I’ve never cleaned any of my consoles. From PlayStation 1 to XBox Series X. I’ve had all PS consoles and all generation of XBox. Each lasting me about 8 years. Except for most recent consoles of course. I wouldn’t suggest this unless you’re experiencing issues with your fan. Also do not use compressed air. It has a type of coolant in it which can ruin components of your console.

I clean the outside monthly so when I opened mine up i was really surprised how nasty the heatsink was. If you run the default power settings of always on it needs to be done more often.

This is great. I’d love a video of Nintendo Switch, and this could always be a whole series - Switch, Wii U, Wii, GameCube, N64 SNES, NES, X-Box Series, X-Box One, 360, and the Original X-Box. Don’t forget the PS’s 1-5 😮

Very informative video 👏🏽 I would totally do this if I didn't buy the 2 year warranty the day I bought my Xbox Series X lol. I have filters on my console though.

Appreciate the video! Made cleaning my Series X a breeze. Could you do a video on how to clean the Series S? Both my siblings have a Series S and I'd like to clean it for them.

Definitely do a switch video! You can make a series out of it and clean all the consoles you have.

Amazing, thanks. I'm planning on using a heat gun for the stickers because I'd like it to stay minty and plan on using a mini vacuum. Is it ok if I use a mini vacuum? Thanks again!

Does this set work with the series x and ps5? I have both consoles and would like a set that works with both. Both of mine are purchased this year and I keep everything surrounding my consoles dusted. No pets and no smoking and my entertainment center is completely open without doors.

After 3 years or so of mine running all day, every day in a house with long haired cats, I cleaned mine. There was almost nothing to clean so that's good to know it's not gonna need this all the time.
