As a home designer, I'm continually impressed (but not surprised) by your styling skills, your ability to jump into a project knowing nothing & ending up with something that looks professional, and the ability to do it all on a much more realistic budget. You've single-handedly got me thinking that I'm able to build my own tiny house, when before I thought I couldn't, and I'm not even mad about it 😅

A tip for having the cabinets go all the way to the counter top; leave a little gap (like 1/4in) between the wood cabinet box and counter which you can hide with some decorative trim. When water gets over there from the counter it won't damage the actual cabinet boxes, just the trim which you can easily replace when it gets dingy looking. I learned this the hard way in my bathroom reno! Lots of love, you are so inspiring!!

I am ‘thanking you later,’ as you suggested, for the corner clamps. When we downsized and moved, a guy disassembled and reassembled our bookshelves. But he did it by making everything level which meant that the shelves weren’t plumb because our new home is an older home with various slopes in the floors. The shelves ended up with a weird skewed look. Because of you, I bought 90 degree (corner)clamps, took the shelves apart, used the clamps to make everything square, and then screwed them together. What a difference! Thank you so much! Did you know you were a teacher as well as a DIYer and home decor designer?

You need the Kreg Rip-cut jig for your circular saw. For $50 it makes sure you cut straight lines across plywood sheets without all the extra measuring.👍🏽❤️

Witnessing the transformations during this process (been here for a couple of years now😊) has been so inspiring. We’re currently trying to wrap up a few lingering home projects. With three kids running around, it’s definitely been challenging. However, each time I watch one of your videos, I’m motivated to keep going. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us.
