@@NoOneHere2Day I mean not really the only other appliance that is stainless steel at the moment is the dishwasher and I believe she said they would be receiving their actual dishwasher later and putting cabinet doors on it just like the fridge. The antique white blends in with the other appliances rather shouts like a stainless steel one imo.

Honestly I think the white goes with the cottage home and the colors you have going. Now seeing the kitchen come together I feel like stainless steel could have looked too modern and sterile for your cozy cottage vibe.

The white was a blessing in disguise. With the fridge being a hidden cabinet front, the white stove marries every other element with the brass/gold elements. The stainless steel would have stood out like a sore thumb, a detail you wouldn't really realize until after the fact!
As Bob Ross would say “there’s no mistakes, but little happy accidents” I think your stove was that happy accident. It is really pretty and unique and it will go beautifully with the rest of the kitchen! ❤

In the beginning, you said "Romeo will like whatever I like".
I'm so excited to see that Romeo is now totally engaged in this house! He's now put in so much sweat equity that he feels a part of it as well. You can just "feel" his attachment to the house, right up there with yours. Such a great thing, knowing how much you BOTH will love and cherish this house for years to come, especially because together you are making it a home. 🏡 💙 🥰

Given that Hallman makes a million different colour ranges, antique white is a lucky break (and happy accident imo). Imagine getting a bright orange range for that kitchen!?! Joking aside, this is incredible inspiration for my own kitchen . Beautiful job. More details on that CROWN!!! You did it!!!

I love the antique white oven/range! I was actually taken aback when you didn't choose that colour because of all the other colour choices in your home. I think fate stepped in and said "nope, you need this one"! Keep it!!!
At this point I feel like they should kind of get reimbursed, this is the second time the wrong custom item got delivered after a long period of waiting. If they insist that it’s the wrong one it means that bathe oven that YOU ordered custom probably got delivered to someone who probably ordered the white oven.
Agree, company should offer a partial refund if you decide to keep. I never liked the big push for all stainless steel appliances. Fine for commercial kitchens or in homes where the owner cooks a LOT, but not in ordinary home. This range is a keeper and quite charming.
Painted vs. ss is usually cheaper. They should get some money back.
100% they awe her some money back for th inconveniences, even if there were no disasters, she spent way too much money for that
I totally agree. You’ve paid for what u wanted & didn’t receive at their fault. Definitely should be a kind of reimbursement for sure.
They should credit you and let you use the “loaner” until the correct one came in. You’re doing them a favor by keeping the “wrong” one.
That CROWN MOLDING IS BEAUTIFUL

the antique white oven is gorgeous! i think that if you painted the range hood with a lime wash or use multiple colored paints on it to accentuate the plaster look would really make it pop. It feels like being a single color is missing the depth you get from your inspiration photos.

I think with adding the tile which will most likely add in some color will be enough. If not, she can add color to the hood later but for now I feel she needs to keep It as is until the tile is chosen.

my husband is a custom kitchen cabinet makers and installer and he gets the "Should we tile and how far to tile" questions all the time and he always says 100% yes. and all the way to the floor, especially behind the stove. Cleaning bare walls in okay but cleaning tile is 10000 times easier and adds a lot of dimension, texture and grace to a kitchen, regardless of what type you go with. But watching the whole transformation and journey thus far has been amazing !!!
Has someone just opened a box expecting an antique white oven and got a stainless steel one? I do like the white oven a LOT. I couldn't imagine building my own kitchen, I think you're doing such a good job. Your kitchen, when finished, is going to be amazing!
I hope not cause I would be disappointed as heck... imagine if they designed thier whole kitchen around the white range and then stainless steel shows up!

@@monicamcgahan I'm sure the supplier is working hard to try and figure out what's happened. Usually in these circumstances it's down to human error at some point. I hope they sort things out. TBH I like the antique white and think it will work for them, if they decide to keep it.
@@waterbitten In honesty I prefer the antique white over stainless steel, which I think is hard work to maintain. I'm sure the supplier is trying to sort it out. I hope someone else wasn't disappointed to open up their oven. Waiting a year for the wrong one is quite something. MaCenna reacted so well!

I think out of all the colors they could've accidentally sent, the antique white is the only one that would work in your kitchen. Imagine if they sent the burgundy! I think it will look great, maybe even better than the stainless steel.

I'm finally catching up on several weeks worth of missed videos and OH MY GOODNESS at timestamp 12:00 I CANNOT get over how good the boxed in window looks, the stain on it, all of it. PERFECTION, you nailed the stain!!! I knew it looked good from the previous episodes but still can't get over how stunning it is.

You need a bowl of water and a sponge for caulking..dip your finger in water and run on caulk bead and finis with a sponge, will give you a perfect finish, That oven is spectacular!!!!!!

Like a year ago when you were hunting for an oven I was WISHING you got a white/creamy one, with some brass to match the rest of the kitchen AND NOW IT HAPPENED it’s so crazy. I had 100% assumed the fact that you got a stainless steel one but not anymore!!
I’m sure this will make it look cozier and will also open new doors to make the kitchen THE CUTEST. Also it’s a nice contrast with the darker elements.

It would be gorgeous to put a thin brass gallery rail along the top of the range hood molding. The antique white range is the right way to go - embrace it!

I really like the plain wall! I’m not sure I would put tile in above the countertops but you always surprise me with how beautiful your projects turn out!
A little suggestion on backsplash for the kitchen!!!! I think an Antique mirror tile would look AMAZING!! It would reflect so much of the kitchen and living room. The antique design in the mirror would look great with your oven range. And mirror doesn’t lock you down to any color.
I have antique mirror tile in my kitchen and everyone that comes in just raves over it. It also reflect light in a good way
If you are keeping the off white range, consider bringing that color up into the backslash tile (in the pattern or material) to make the color choice look intentional. Love the heavy plaster texture on the hood! Crown details are AHHHH-MAZING!
The antique white range is so beautiful! I say keep it if you can :) Plus, a square white Zellige tile would be lovely. Since it's handmade, it's got more texture to it and it's trendy for a reason haha
Damn MaCenna! You and Romeo DID THAT! Yes the antique white stove is a gorgeous happy accident... but that range hood is PERFECTION! I cried a little seeing all this come together... I can only imagine what's happen when you cross the finish line in the kitchen.
Love the antique white stove! Also, a piece of advice--be careful of the finish you choose for tile. I have tumbled travertine, and EVERYTHING leaves a spot, even water! Make sure you get tile with a smooth, sealed finish so it easier to keep clean.

Personally, I would keep the white oven but have the company replace your dishwasher so that it coordinates either the oven or be paneled like the refrigerator. The white is beautiful! But the dishwasher is going to look odd in stainless all by itself.
Agree. The dishwasher should have a panel like the cupboard doors so it doesn't stand out. Who wants to look at a dishwasher anyway?

( I completely mean this as a compliment as we do have family members and friends who are Master Carpenters) Also I really appreciate the work you have done on making your crown moldings, they have turned out beautiful. I also use Benjamin Moore paint and have for the past 30 plus years as I like both their product and color choices. My husband, entire family including myself enjoy doing our own house renovations and fix it jobs so it is a pleasure to watch you (and learn something new we may incorporate into our renovations) alongside home renovations we are antique shoppers, garage sale pickers (ha) and second hand store shoppers...we love it! (and we are helping/teaching/encouraging everyone in the family or connected to our family to join our craziness..lol) 🌻

I think you might also consider bringing in the wood color of the window boxes on the bottom crown molding part of the range hood. That might be really pretty

TILE IDEA:
I think those cream-textured long skinny linear stacked tiles would be gorgeous in the kitchen. I think it would emphasize the height of the room. and laying them linear wouldn't make them feel as busy as a staggered tile.
You mean the clay tiles? That would be beautiful.
Just on that wall though. It's unnecessary on that wall across the room. Maybe not even under the cabinets flanking the range. Overkill.
