This room make over was so exciting to watch, I can’t believe you’re finally here in this season. You brought so much light and life to the dining room space, I’m so eager to see the future makeovers!
thank you so much!
y just one art on wall
@@raheelamemon8877 Give her a minute, she's not moved in yet. Although, I like the simplicity, especially on that wall.
@@XOMaCenna GORGEOUS!!! OMG you're tugging at my heartstrings girl it's looking amazing! I am wanting to hug you way down here from New Jersey 🤣 I'm so happy for you and Romeo 🥰🥰!!!
Me too! Have waited so long for these videos starting now! Yay for you guys
Not only is this room a work of art but every single comment is excited, loving and supportive. What a wonderful room and community you have created.
Totally agree!! 🥰 Macenna’s community is so friendly, loving and supportive!
The moment you hung the painting up I got that feeling. The feeling you get when a house feels like a home. Positive chills. I can't wait to feel that feeling in my own home.
I totally get what your saying I cannot wait for that feeling as I am waiting to move in to my very first new home next month
So here is a suggestion to blend the chair height to the table height. Depending on the measurements needed to achieve the correct ratio, I suggest cutting the bottom stem of the table legs to the 1st ball shape which looks like about 2-3 inches. Then put a metal tack type button made for the bottom of the table legs to allow them to slide over the carpet. If this makes the table a better height for the chairs, I suggest the same type of metal button on the bottom of each chair legs so they will slide over your carpet without catching the fibers and possibly tearing or weakening this older beautiful carpet. The buttons nail easily into the bottom of each leg and are intended to keep the legs from damaging the carpet or a bare floor. Hope this works....
I’m going through such a hard time in my life Macenna and I know it’s weird hearing it from a stranger, but your determination and creativity inspire me so much. Thank you for being you.
o wow thank you so much! i hope every day gets a little better than the last! sending you a big hug
AM I know exactly how you feel. I am absorbing MaCenna’s videos like they are medicine. Between medical and financial problems, moving to another city and simultaneously fighting for custody of my daughter, I think MaCenna’s videos keep me calm and keep my spirits up. Her bubbly personality and positive attitude is so infectious. I hope your hard times becomes easier soon. Hugs from Denmark
What a blessing she is right? She always gets my toosh off the couch! 🥰😍🥰😘
@@eydnamortensen5985 likewise Eydna. It’s hard to keep up with the fluctuation of life and time, but it helps so much to find those moments and people that make it better. One of my dreams is buying and restoring a home, and seeing MaCenna fulfill her goals motivates me. Sending you much love back!
I feel like having fluted glass in the cabinet would look really good with the fluted glass light!
Oh heck yeah!
thats exactly what I thought!
i’ve been watching you remodel this house for so long, and to finally see you furnish and decorate your dining room makes me so happy. you brought so much light and life back into the space which honestly isn’t easy to do. i know the rest of your home is going to be absolutely beautiful. i can’t wait to watch the rest of this journey. 🤍
14:50 be careful to leave enough leg room while sitting, especially with the under-table drawer thing. I like the idea of adding feet and other non-destructive adapters before cutting anything off the table.
So fun to see everything come together after so long!
Finally, it is time for “all the things”. That table, the frame, the hutch!
Everything really does look great together.
Thank you for the encouragement to try new projects in my own old farm house. I painted a cabinet and was like Macenna would be so proud! My bf rolled his eyes hahha
hahahha I AM SO PROUD!!! thats amazing!
Earlier I started talking about a project to my boyfriend out of nowhere and he said “you’re watching Macenna right now aren’t you.” 😂
Something watching you has taught me is that while this is not my style I can completely respect, love and admire you putting it all together so beautifully.
Can’t wait to see each room coming together. X
I’d love to know what you’re style is ?
@@Elizabeth77536 I'm more of a maximalist, dark wood, bright colours, more global bohemian. Also just in case, my message above was not meant with anything other than respect for what MaCenna does, we all have our own styles and that's what makes us all special
Oh my! This room is absolutely stunning: like something you’d see in a magazine! I’m so happy for you and Romeo!!! You guys have worked so hard on this house and it’s all coming together!!!!
It’s beautiful!!
Tip on the frame: you can twist the wire into itself on the edges on both sides; if shortens the wire length and makes it more taut so it doesn’t lean out too much. Adding pads at the bottom of the frame also levels it out and gives the frame some grip with the wall too so you can shift back and forth to make the frame more even, too. Beautiful frame and landscape! 👌🏼
I have done this tip on most of my frames because they have wires that they hang from, and it has made a huge difference in how far off they hang from the wall. My frame now hang really snug to the wall and stay beautifully in place. Thank you for explaining this tip because I kept thinking about how to say it but was at a loss 😊
This is a great tip! I also used museum puddy on the corners of my frames to hold them against the wall and keep them from going crooked which has saved my sanity! The room looks beautiful though! The table is amazing!
this!
It looks like a magazine, so cozy. I can actually imagine this house being in a magazine one day. Its beautiful!
Omgsh one day she’s going to be super well known and we’ll be like “we watched her back when she was renovating her first house”
Why did I get SO emotional watching the before and after montage?!!? I actually started tearing up watching the progress. Even though the room is not in its final form, just having some major components in there and SEEING a complete picture for the first time feels like another milestone hit. Absolutely love the print in that frame and the cabinet in the corner. Im in awe with how many gorgeous pieces you are able to find. You are doing an amazing job 👏♥️
love her carrying furniture and explaining it at the same time♡
The colour of the velvet cushions on the dining chairs goes with the colours of the rug perfectly (also the colours on that painting). It was meant to be 😍
The first time I've seen 'extreme' in a title and been like yeah, this fits! To see the work that you've done over a year come to completion is so heartwarming! Congrats to you, Romeo, and your mama for a job done well!
Just imagining christmas dinners in this room gives me the chills! What an incredibly beautiful space you have created!! ❤️❤️❤️
The hard work and all your creativity being put together has truly paid off. I love how it has turned out and cant wait to see the rest of the house. so proud of you. What an AMAZING JOB!!
I got tears in my eyes when the after was shown! I’m so proud of how far you’ve come and how hard you’ve worked! I look forward to each and every video and as you finish each room. 💜👏🏼
Totally same!! 🥰
Same here!👌🏼🐨🇦🇺
Yes!!!
Tears!
Oh Macenna, it is so gorgeous. You need to be featured in a magazine so everyone can see your talent. What a home that is going to be.❤️🇨🇦
After reading many of the comments, what comes to mind is the evolution of your style. From the beginning of your DIY vids where you played with a moderate light filled boho look to the LA rental where the boho met traditional, the move now is to a moody earthy traditional effect. Love the transition.
Hot Tip: when abutting moulding cut each end at a 45 degree angle (one in and one out) they will notch together really well and you won’t have to fill and sand as much! It’s a cleaner look
I suspected your dining room might end up being my favorite room just because of the chairs and the natural light, and it is just gorgeous. But I'm also aware that I may very well say "This is my favorite room!" with each newly decorated room. I'm looking forward to seeing it all unfold.
OMG, that is so beautiful. I think the cabinet is what really brings the whole room together. Maybe instead of glass, use cane in the doors to tie in with the chairs. Oh, and the reason your frame is hanging a little wonky is that the wire is probably a little loose -- they tend to stretch out over time. Try detaching it, pulling it taut across the frame, and reattaching it.
The table you found is so beautiful! I think for lowering it I would cut at the top of the legs, right underneath the square part, and remove the first one or two 'rounds' of wood. Like this you don't lose the lovely taper at the bottom that makes it look so elegant :)
The SQUEAL that escaped my mouth when I saw that rug!!! Eeeeeh!
This room is calm but it is also SUMPTUOUS. Holidays dinners are going to be absolutely delightful.
I can't even put into words how satisfying this video is to watch. We're finally getting to see your vision coming to life! I can't get over how beautiful the floor is - I know it was exhausting for you but it adds so much to the space. Thank you for sharing your journey with us!
Love love love the cabinet in the room! adding the extra piece I feel like it makes it look like a dining room that is lived in rather than a staged dining area
There’s no one like MaCenna!! We’re here for you and your amazing journey! ☺️
I can’t believe we’re in this phase already. I say we, because we have been here since the beginning and it’s super exciting.
i straight up started crying during the makeover reveal at the end. :,)) literally emotional to see how amazing it looks and to see how far it’s come since the very beginning. can’t even imagine the tears when u finish this house.
Omg every room is coming to live and it's turning out incredibly beautiful! Every time i see a before and after i get shook by how you envisioned every room and the things you planned turn out to look amazing
aww thank you so much!!!
Oh my goodness, MaCenna!! I can’t believe you’re actually doing “final” room makeovers now! Y’all killed this renovation and makeover. Cannot wait to see the rest of the house come together ✨ It’s magic, and the love y’all poured into this project shows!
I'm crying 😭....So happy! Maccena! Oh so sweet your little happy face!
I loved the details around the windows. Great job!
thank youuuuu
Oh wow!!! Starting to feel like a home. The dining room is so elegant but still feels cozy. Love it.
Those windows are so beautiful and it's nice to see vintage can be achieved with black windows.
21:04-22:01 was so relaxing to watch. It felt like decor ASMR. You should make a video that's all just you filming your DIY/room makeover /decorating process but no music and no voice-over. Just to watch the process 🥰 it felt so calm and serene !
I think the scale of the cabinet would be balanced by a very long, vertically oriented fruit painting done by your mom with a very ornate frame! Dark background with different brown tones to pull in the lighter wood of the table and darker wood of the cabinet 😊 your cottage is absolutely amazing!
Wow, macenna you’ve out done yourself again. This room looks phenomenal. You have suchhhh a good eye for this! That colour for the bottom beams was an AMAZING CHOICE, it complimented the wall colours so good. Cant wait to see the other rooms!
Before you even started moving things into the room, I was stunned! Such a gorgeous room & perfect location in the house. Of course when it was done, it took my breath away! Your style is unmatched! ❤️
I love how you just left the rest of the rooms to complete one. Something I wouldn’t have thought of doing.
Congratulations on one room semi-completed! It's been a long time coming and we're all so proud of the progress you've made!!!
FIRST
I’ve been sitting by my phone for an hour waiting for this notification!! So excited for these makeovers Macenna! Miss you so much
I love both of you 💓
My two faves
hahahahha HIIIIII
@@lonefox i miss youuuuuuuuuuuu
The highlight for me was that ceiling light!! Holy cow it's GORGEOUS
MaCenna, thank you so much for this video and the love you show for your home...I am a true homebody and absolutely LOVE, loving on our home.....but at this moment, when my mom, my best friend is dying from cancer, my husband and I moved out of our custom built home to live in her home and care for her, altho I really miss being at home, we WOULD NOT have it any other way, our memories with her now are the utmost importance to us, that we will have to reflect on, as well as videos & photos we have with her now to back home with us....Thank you for humor and joy, and all your ideas.....it is what I need right now 🙂
I absolutely love what you have done. I have watched this series while recovering from cancer and you have inspired me to tackle my own home having fallen out of love with it as I spend so much time in it feeling so poorly but not anymore. Can't wait to see what you do next. xx
Not really sure why this made me emotional but this feels like such a special moment. The moment we have all be waiting for. Decor 😍😍😍 it is all so stunning. Congrats. Xo.
It is beautiful! The colors just glow with the light streaming in the windows. It is truly a calm and welcoming room. You both should be so proud of all the work you have done. You are creating a HOME from the ground up.
Your dining room says "welcome, come on in". I am not a brown/beige fan, but it is the perfect color for your space. Well done! I look forward to seeing how the other spaces come together. Bravo!
Omg don’t you dare change out those doors to glass on the cabinet 😱😱 those are the best part of it!!! It adds so much character and detail and breaks up the room by adding a dark element
This is beautiful. Love the furniture, including the cabinet which is perfect for that wall and balances out the placement of the window. It's fun to see you starting this process. Linen floor length curtains would be gorgeous in that room.
Yes. I thought so too...
Maybe cane the cabinet panels to tie the chairs and cabinet together. If you don't love it, you can always use glass. Gorgeous room. I love dining rooms. I guess because it's the room where we come together, eat together, share our thoughts and lives... colors are perfect and who doesn't love a beautiful rug. You, young woman, are totally inspiring and gifted.
The colors, the table, the chairs, the art work, that trim and wainscoting oh my LORD!!!! As GORGEOUS as those window trims are I personally would make simple Roman blinds or some fabric blinds that you can pull up or down if you wanted to! But I would not hide that trim with curtain panels but that’s just me! This is just beautiful
Everything turned out so beautiful! I love the little hutch and agree that glass would be great in the doors. I love the rich color it adds. I did do an internal cringe though watching you clean the frame on your pretty floors!!!!!
I’m so excited to watch! My sister and I (both vintage “collectors”) watch your videos and it gives us so much to talk about 🥰 thank you for your videos, they make my days better!
awwww yay!! thats makes me so happy
I’ve been on RUclips for over 12 years and I’ve never commented on a video despite watching thousands. This made me SO happy. You deserve the best of happiness Mackenna.
You’re just the complete package. Adorable when you put the light up 😩
I love how you film your reveals. Everything looks so tasty. Love your style. You are the reason I am redoing wooden 70 year old doors 🗝️. I wish I could share that process as you do. Would love if you make a tutorial on how you set up your equipment to film.
I’m so excited we’re finally to this part 😭😭😭 I would eventually do Roman shades in the dining room! I have drapes in my home except for dining, where I have Roman shades, and I love them!
I’m crying! Why am I crying?? So emotional watching this and immensely excited for you and Romeo and your beautiful handmade home
Tears! I echo everyone's comments. MaCenna - everything you do is stunning! Absolutely! Stunning! I've watched your style evolve over the years, and it is just pure class!! 💕
This was so Epic! Thank you for taking us on your journey. Now I’m jumping off my couch to find my sander, and redo my dining table 🥰
Love love love the cabinet! You could definitely add something to the top to bring the eye up. And when you sat at the table and said look at all the people I can have here, I think you should do a giveaway dinner party for 6 guests! How fun would that be!
As much as I love the idea, that’s a huge safety issue…. That’s her home and we can’t expect for her to bring random people from the internet. Maybe that’s just me since I’m a very private person and my home is my safe place so I wouldn’t expect someone else to do it.
@@margingains2937 Very true.
I love the old traditional style. Its lovely
All the fruits of your labour are paying off. I love the paint colours you chose. My dog was just diagnosed with mandibular lymphoma this week. Very sad times. I was hoping for a few good years. Now I am hoping for a few good weeks. Your videos are going to help me deal with the loss and grief.
Such a beautiful dreamy dining room!!! You’ve made me fall in love with your vintage style!!
Watching your videos and your vlogs always help bring me some peace throughout my hectic days.
Please never stop!
You are my inspiration, girl!!!!
This was a really great makeover! Felling little emotional seeing it because of all the hard work you have been planning and doing to the house finally paid off. Really proud of you macenna, for the new house look really awesome!! Congrats also for the moving and can't wait to see the next one!!
So happy your dream home is becoming reality.
You've inspired me to push to complete our rooms after we've moved in.. we moved & then got covid & stalled.. but I've sat with coffee to watch your makeover & watching the excitement & joy you get from doing your thing has reminded me about how much I get from doing this too!! Much love to you & your family, thank you so much for sharing your journey 🥰🥰🥰
I'm so excited Macenna! I love this home like it's my own
awww thats makes me so happy!!!
I love Sunday's because they are my catch up & relax day & the day I get to see MaCenna's updates on her cottage! Woo Hoo! I am so excited that it is makeover season now! I get as excited seeing MaCenna's updates as I do my own projects around my house:) Edit- why did I cry when you brought in your dining room table? I am so invested in your home, lol.
Yes,MaCenna, Glass panels on the front of your cabinet and you could add decorative items on the top. 👏👏👏 Sooo pretty!
OMG - that chandelier is to die for!!! Well done, McKenna!
Wow, Macenna! This room is absolutely stunning! I cannot wait to see the finished kitchen (and all of the house too!)
You truly deserve every bit of success you have: the hard work you put into both your projects and channel stands out among so many you tubers. Loved seeing this come together for you and can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us!
The China cabinet is stunning as is! You could just keep one door open to display what’s inside! It looks lovely in that space.
So so happy for you that everything you’ve waited on is finally coming to fruition! CAN’T wait to see the rest of the house!!! 🎉
It’s crazy the amount of detail that has gone into this. You’re so creative. It’s looks soooo gooddddd though !!!
I'm so excited that we're finally at the room makeover stage of the house! I love the colour contrast between the sheetrock and the shiplap, "Pasmina" is so pretty! Also, I REALLY love these chairs, they're so beautiful! And the rug, and the lampshade in the corner, and the light overhead (omg) and the little cupboard, too! I would also have put some tall flowers on top of it, just to give some height and dimension to the space. This is so beautiful, I can't find another word to describe it, I just love that old-world charm you're going for! 😍❤️
Love this soo much, even shed a tear, so happy for you and seeing the house start to come together after all the hard work you have done is so special.
Best content on RUclips. MaCenna for the WIN!!!!!!!
I'm so happy we are finally here! It's starting to really feel like home now. Thank you do much for allowing do many of us to live vicariously through you and experience all the joy along with you. It's something many of us can only dream of. And we've learned so much all along the way as well. My favorite channel.
You do an amazing job!! A subscriber of mine recommended your channel to me and I'm obsessed! I wish I had even a fraction of your talent 💓💓💓 btw I'm definitely going to be using that color I'm obsessed with it !
You have a beautiful home Karrie :)
@@jackienewman5934 thank you ❤️❤️❤️
You are very talented Karrie Lynn I love watching you too xx
Love you karrie♥️♥️♥️
I love the idea of sheer panels at the meeting rail height. Gives a bit of privacy but filtered light and full view out the upper sash. Can also be done with tension rods so you don’t have to install any permanent curtain hardware.
Perfect colors!
The colors look so good together. The table is AMAZING! Great job!
I get all the good feels from this room without even having to be there! There’s something about the feel an old home gives that you just can’t get in a new one! It’s so beautiful!!
No window treatments they r not many people who would be around keep It open so while eating u can stare at the trees etc omg I m sooooooo excited for you guys I ❤️your hard work and enthusiasm and best part is that Rom lets u do all those things without yelling or something
just like how I loved the sound of the bath water running in the guest bath makeover, love the dappled lighting from the tree leaves outside- beautiful setting
Omg MaCenna.. your dining room is perfect! You honestly need your own home design show! So beautiful.
The way Macenna gets excited always make me laugh 😂. Wishing you and your family a wonderful week ahead.
absolutely perfect
Absolutely like the glass light. Love how the room ended up finished
This is so beautiful! I actually got a little emotional seeing this come together after having followed your journey. Exciting times. You are such an inspiration, Macenna!
I absolutely love the whole journey!
thank youuuuu
Simply love …warm..home .. beautiful..
Great job. Love the warm feeling and chandelier.
