Lesson to be learned here: if you have the hots for someone, tell them. Don't assume that they're going to understand that your attentiveness means that you have affection for them. Especially, in Clayton's case. He was way older than Sue Ellen and more importantly she was in love with his son, had a husband and her own son. How is she supposedly to see Pops is hitting on her? Clayton's old enough to know better and should've told her exactly how he felt long before.
@@threerings1345it would have been lovely if Bobby and Pam had made it to California and visited Gary and Valene when the News hit that Jr been shot and they came back to Dallas memorial together.
Let's say Bobby agreed to JR's proposal. They would get the same answer they got from Harv Smithfield early that next season. The contest has to go on.
I am the 301 person to "like" this video. That is a perfect game# in bowling. I'd say JR's ending comment is a perfect score for JR on his upcoming revenge against Bobby.
I believe Clayton had a Dallas condo he kept when in town from San Angelo whilst taking care of his oil business- because later in this Season Miss Ellie catches Clayton and a drunk Sue Ellen there in a seemingly compromising situation ,which is totally innocent , just Clayton helping a distraught Sue Ellen.
Actually Bobby won. The Canadian oil fields he was drilling in came in and that gave him the edge on JR. Jock added an amendment to his will that the "purpose" of the contest was to prove to JR and Bobby that they could work together for the betterment of the company, so after the contest they both shared 50/50 in the company. At least that's the way I remember it.
She didn't get played. Everybody knew that Clayton was in love with Sue Ellen except her. She was in love with Dusty and going back and forth with Jr so the idea that Clayton wanted her didn't come to mind. Besides what is she gonna do with him? Clayton is better off with Ms. Elle.
@@faithwatkins7811 No she knew, Faith. A woman always knows when a man is in love with her. Then not the same for a man. But you're right on a point, she didn't come back for Clayton. And it's a strange situtation for those two to be reunited under the same family.
Bobby should have said yes. After winning he agreed to control Ewing oil with JR anyway, If he had called off the fight then he could then concentrated on getting Pam back. That was a bad decision by him.

The scenes in the Southfork living room were often some of the best in the series.
James Kennedy , didn't a guy named Edgar punch jr?
@@4nlover635 yes. Edgar Randolph. He worked for the government and JR blackmailed him so he could get inside information on offshore leases.
