Thats an exaggerated rumor that even Marcia has debunked She worked as an editor just on the first Star Wars Yes she help in the editing but it was mostly George who did everything in all 3 films She confirmed this on a book that was released lilke 4 years ago and in that same book she trashed the Disney movies lol
Yea, but that doesn't fit well with the story that this new woke female director wants to portray since she is such a trail blazer after all. So just pretend it isn't real. Actually, I think disney put that in star wars legend after they bought lucas films.
All those women taking charge of stuff believe themselves to be the miraculous chosen one to be the FIRST WOMAN EVER to be in charge of something in the history of humanity.
@@alexman378 They do drive women away, namely the original fans. Those women, who in the 70s were called "what a woman is supposed to be" (keep their dicks in their pants, and wait to get r-worded by a self-enamored space pirate), politely admitting to the consequences of anti-sexuality - having no legitimate opinion... those women, today, are seen as traitor women. The modern feminist does everything as well as a man does, because sperm banks have been invented to make men superfluous. The modern feminist does not go quietly into that good night, of admitting to the decrepifying limitations of anti-sexuality, and it's inherent psychopathic powerlessness, but rather, consider it an insult to them, that a thing exists in the universe, that means the world of happiness and comfort to some (the most threatened and scared) people, while ALSO being completely and utterly worthless to a (useless) antisexual female. But the psychopathy and power structures are highly desirable for their destructive potential, the idea of being potent and being a threat to big, strong men, who, THEORETICALLY, could easily threaten a petite femme (and do so, on occasion, if you kick them in the nuts enough times, their true violent and evil nature spews forth, you just have to keep kicking them, and you'll prove how evil men are - so you no longer have to feel guilty and ashamed of being a "rebel" against "the patriarchy"). So out of spite and vindictiveness, they decide to exploit the phenomenon of sex for their own personal (monetary, status, power and influence) gain. To pretend to not be dysfunctional. It's called the Amber Hurt Syndrome. The "chosen one" female narrative, is meant to mimic the male counter-part, that modern feminists have taken contempt for. The male version is a long-standing coping mechanism, that women, to the admonishment of modern feminists, decided to accept and try to exploit for their personal gain. It was the idea, that if you're fat and ugly and growing more and more degrading and pedo-harmful every second.... at least you can be "a good boy/"nice guy"" and deserve a reward "from society".... But because of the sexual humiliation, the only reward that could ever exist, is the total and absolute absence of sexual humiliation. And the only way to get to that plateau of safety and comfort is to r-word all the sexiest, underagesgest schoolgirls - and GET AWAY WITH IT! To become Jeffreyba the Huttstein, to "earn it". So that's the coping resource: "Iz okay that I sexually degrade you to feel as ugly as me, even when you are not (yet)... because I've taken all this here money from other people, in order to be a "societally approved success", that deserves to r-word the sexy young girls, so society can inspire people to take more money from others, and become a richer society. And many, many women played along, because their antisexuality COULDN'T tell them not to - it's just non-sexual, and pretends, that sex doesn't exist (except for when it means free money, but then, only the free money exist, let's not talk about how to get it, eew, gross). But it also attracts a temporary new audience, who, temporarily, have more money, than any other working class - modern feminists. And it remains Disney's assessment, that the agender-genda should be subtle and subversive enough, that the unenlightened audience, mainly kids and "innocent" neo-feminists, won't perceive the sedition as it affects them, and manipulates their mind. The reason why they believe this, is because they watched it happen before... True, it was a vastly different world back then, but the evidence points irrefutably in this direction: "Put it in a movie, and people en masse, will accept it as normal and desirable - it doesn't matter what it is. It could be a hero, who masturbates in the face of every pretty girl he sees (because of misogynistic, dehumanising objectifying hateful vindictiveness - and people believe, that's heroic. Or a space captain, who abducts a refugee, only to sexually assault her as soon as he gets her alone, and without social support. And people will think that's heroic, too. Or telling women outright, you know, if you're antisexual, then you don't have a god damn reason, NOT to dress in a metal bikini and suck off a space slug, for millions of dollars ("That's what I'd do... if a wasn't such a screaming coward homophobe"). It may be true, yes, but for the reasons I outlined above, it's a very insulting and hurtful truth. They much prefer to pretend sex doesn't exist, because they can't harvest sex for sex.
rey being such a mary sue could've worked if they just had the balls to have her turn to the dark side. For instance: she was so used to everything coming easily in the beginning, but then when she begins to struggle with the more advanced stuff, she gets upset that she can't be good at jedi skills off rip, so she begins her descent into the dark side which promises power for less work. Boom.
@@Slippy_187 There was so much they could've done with it honestly. Would've been great to see an arc where Rey turns dark and Kylo finds redemption and turns back to the light. Maybe in the final movie rey ends up killing Palpatine to become the most powerful (rule of two), and it's up to Kylo to stop her. The most egregious aspect of the new trilogy is truly the amount of wasted opportunity.
If at the end of the movie, she had accepted being a palpatine and said that instead of skywalker, the movie wouldve been a bit better in my eyes. Still she wouldve been a mary sue, but her accepting whom she's decended from with the dark powers she possess es wouldve been some good character development. If leia still accepted her,she can accept it herself.

I am baffled how after all the flops and bad choices Kathleen Kennedy continues to be there and worse she keeps taking the same direction as before and nothing happens. This time NO-ONE should go to the cinema support any film they make, but again nothing will happen...

@@FTChomp9980It's the writing. Look at Bo Katan really most of the women in Mando are good strong characters. That's one of the few examples of StarWars done right as of late though.
It is bizarre from a business standpoint. This dogshit about Rey Palpatine spawning a baby is basically the rip off of Anakin’s birth as the Chosen One in reverse, at this point may as well call it Star (W)Horres: The Bastard of Skywalker
I’d rather HBO buy the rights to The Old Republic era for Star Wars because unlike the later seasons of Game of Thrones at least it has source material.
As a person whose favorite form of entertainment is the Old Republic era of Star Wars I hope it never comes to TV/Film. With the track record of Hollywood right now I can’t imagine anyone truly capturing the stories of characters like Revan, Bastila, Meetra, Darth Bane or Satele. With that said, if Disney really wanted to target a female audience with a strong, well written, well-rounded female character, we should have gotten the story of Meetra Surik and Kreia adapted to the big screen before Rey Wars.
Disney’s continuity is just another Infinities alternate universe as far as I’m concerned. Because the Expanded Universe is the actual canon continuity for Star Wars.
100%. At first i was upset they deleted the universe i liked so much. After their recent crap im just happy i have a huge set of books and games that i consider the real thing
The good part about them nuking it is that they haven't brought it back to stuff it full of the message. Hell the state of SW almost makes me miss Denning and I am not a fan of most of his contributions to the EU. At least Han and Leia were stupidly happily married in his books.
The reason people were so positive about the force awakens at first (excluding the obvious) is that people were willing to see if the elements in the film added up to a great trilogy. Which of course was dashed by Rian in his opus of last Jedi
fact. It was really derivative, but despite some cringey bits, it felt like a reset of the franchise and was at least exciting. Everything kind of happened so fast you didn't stop to think about how little sense it all made. Then rey defeated Kylo which wasn't great build up of her character or the villain...unless he wasn't the villain. Then the Last Jedi killed all of that. First Star Wars movie I left actually hating. I was done after that.
Disney yard sale incoming I’m predicting: first they sell 20th Century back to The Fox Corporation and the Fox heirs, then Lucasfilm back to George Lucas or to however’s the highest bidder, and then finally the Marvel character rights get sold to multiple buyers similarly to the 90’s. That’s more likely than Disney changing their ways and respecting their purchases.
I think we are at the stage now where it will be met with apathy or mockery rather than anger. They can deal with anger, reversing back onto the fan base but they struggle with apathy and mockery
The core problem at Lucasfilm is not wokeism or misandry, but creative bankrupcy. Their dont have one original bone in their body, not a single new idea in sight. They know this so they try to cover it up with pandering.

I think Disney Star Wars Division as a whole decided that women were a purse full of money they weren't attracting. They assumed men would always want to watch, because they were already hooked. So, they went full on with trying to attract women viewers and buyers to Star Wars. What they didn't get right is that everyone else would take this approach to, and men are fed up of it. Just watching the commercials in the UK shows you this. There are no white men in commercials anymore. Everyone is trying to attract the non-white men market, assuming that white men will already buy what they have always been buying. But as Bud Light found out, that isn't the case. Maybe Star Wars will realise before the franchise is dead, but I personally haven't watched their content since Season 2 of Mandalorian. Curious when other die hard fans stopped watching, waiting for a male led, strong character to come along, that isn't constantly b*tch slapped by females.
It's not that they're trying to attract another customer base and simply assuming the prior one(s) will stay with them; denigrating and demonizing the prior fan base in the process of jettisoning it completely is considered to be a necessary part of wooing the new one. One that doesn't even exist. The best analogy I can think of would be some urbanite wannabe farmer who, after hearing how popular "My Little Pony" is with little girls, goes and buys a dude ranch, paints all the guest houses pink, decorates them with frilly curtains, throw pillows, and lacy four-poster beds, then goes outside and shoots all the horses to make room for the magical unicorns and starts advertising his brand-new "girl-friendly" unicorn riding academy...never stopping to think whether or not unicorns are real. 🤷♂️
What’s funny is that Star Wars attracted both men and women. They didn’t have to change the brand to appease women. All they did was piss off everyone.
my only issue with your take... is that Star Wars is already dead. at least as far as disney is concerned. the last hope died when they screwed Jon Favreau out of the Mandalorian season 3. if they sell it off maybe i will look at it again, but until then it just sits back on those shelves.
Andor should be there benchmark of what Star Wars needs to be. Story driven true to the universe without crap shoved in our face. There are hundreds of Star Wars stories with diverse characters and female leads that are thousands times better than all the others. Rouge One, Mando season 1/, and Andor are the only good Star Wars properties to come out of the last generation of live action. Its just pitiful.
YESS! I am just shouting from the rooftops exactly this. If Starwars is to live, Andor will have to be the new benchmark for it. I'd gladly want to see an Andor-like show about any character from the starwars universe. Ideally it would be a movie, but one can dream... Hell just reboot Kenobi with Andor like writing and style

I had a ticket to Star Wars Celebration 2020 with a hotel booked and a plane ticket purchased. It was cancelled four months before the event was to begin due to Covid (I got my money back on everything). I was considering buying a t-shirt online that said "Luke Deserved Better" and wearing it to the event.
I, for one, take comfort in the fact that this trend is doomed to inevitably kill itself. Disney has a lot of money to make movies and shows, but their money isn't infinite. If they keep losing money on every single project they make, it will run out eventually. Its just a matter of time.
Killing? I think an argument could be easily made that SW was murdered the day Disney purchased it. At the very least it died when Rian Johnson started directing...
Star Wars died in 2005. "Weekend at Bernie's II" perfectly summarizes Disney Star Wars. Larry and Richard (Disney) prop up Bernie's (Star Wars') corpse and make people think it's alive (even though it died in 2005). They take said corpse to a bank (movie theater) to get money from a safety deposit box (audiences).
In my opinion, Rey being called a Mary Sue probably had A LOT to do with the fact she had force lightning… something Jedi can’t do and only the Sith can…
Then there was her force healing. Now in the novels Luke's new Jedi order rediscovered how to do force healing, but the process was slow and tricky and required a very keen mind and lots of patience. Contrast that with Rey just being able to do it off the top of her head with no issues whatsoever. And they say she's not a Mary Sue.
She got called a Mary Sue two movies before that. Because she literally has no flaws, no inner battle, she has nothing to deal with other than realising "how amazing she was all along" because that's the level Disney writes women at now. Padme actually had character, Leia actually had character, Ashoka had flaws and character too. Women having flaws like the normal equal humans they are is apparently wrong in their minds, they are superior you see? Women can't have flaws in today time
I'm sure this "1st woman" will be as good at directing the Rey movie as the Crash Test Dummy guys are at directing the dummy down the track into a brick wall.
One of the only Disney Star wars things that have come out recently that I absolutely legitimately enjoyed was the book of boba Fett. And this is probably because I had no idea who he was and I wasn't a Star wars fan. There were obvious problems with the writing in the show but it still managed to be entertaining. I can completely understand though why fans of boba Fett are probably very upset 😅. Since the studios are basically spending badooka money to send all of us running for the hills, then let's do just that and put our money into anime and other things that actually prioritize a story and character development over whether or not you have an innie or outtie between your legs and regardless of what ice cream flavor you happen to be.
On Boba Fett theres literally no explanation why he wants to put war on the Pikes other than he got furious for killing sand Tuskans. Very poor storytelling and slow initial pace to what could've been an incredible story.
Andor truly felt like something that got snuck under the noses of the Disney/Lucasarts execs that they ignored because they assumed it would be another Boba Fett. It was so good I couldn't believe I was watching Disney era Star Wars and not something created by fans who loved the old extended universe novels. I fear now that the "cat is out of the bag", season 2 will have Kennedy claws in it.
That little joke about Jennifer Lawrence completely ambushed me and sent my sides howling with laughter. To this day i have not a single idea why and how she become an actor and consider it elaborate money-laundering scheme. It's funnier that way.
James Cameron should take his Avatar property and jump ship to Universal Pictures or another company before Disney tries to interfere with it. By the way, I hope Alien and Predator get sold off to another company at some point. And also, maybe Family Guy and Simpsons should get bought by the South Park guys as well and Seth can collaborate with them.
You know... I went with my family and brother's family to see Rogue One when it was released in theatres. My wife and I were so unimpressed. When we left, I said to everyone: "I have come to a conclusion: They should have left Star Wars alone after Return of the Jedi" I have not been to another "Star Wars" movie since, but I follow the news about all the fiasco's with a sad fascination. The fact is that Star Wars is dead. I am willing to entertain some arguments in favor of the prequels, but anything done by Disney... Not a chance. Disney has killed Star Wars, and now they are desecrating the corpse. It revolting. F Disney!!!
It’s not that it’s a woman it’s that her character was written like a child got a hold of the rights and was telling mommy and daddy a fictional story based on the perception and imagination of a 5 year old.
Give me a good story about Rey where she faces genuine struggle and tribulations, where we actually learn something new about her character. Is it really that much to ask? 😂
How about this: Rey was linked to and being used by Palpatine all along. She was his plan from the start. When she killed him, that link was lost, along with those powers. However, at the end of I, Luke left her a gift. A very big gift. He also told her she needs to preserve the Skywalker legacy going forward. But she'll need his help and training to develop and use it. And that training will be tough. In future, she'll also find her real father (rather than her adoptive parents) out there, who was a rogue Jedi who was expelled from the Order decades ago. He returns to help her rebuild the Jedi Order. Jeff Bridges would be great in that role. A thousand years later, she is now the stuff of legends and is known as Rey The Younger.
I've got an Indiana Jones And The Eye Of Zoltek story in my head now. It's a spy thriller adventure set in London, 1953, six months before Queen Elizabeth II's coronation and has Indy working for MI5 to find a missing artifact that was looted from the Aztecs by Cortez...It's told in flashback from an interview he's giving with a journalist in 1970 during a tour to promote his book, the year he received his honorary degree at Cambridge for his lifetime work in archaeology. Later, Indy and Marion receive news regarding Mutt from a reliable source, and a letter from the Queen herself...
All this activism stuff really makes you question... At what point does sexism loop around and start being discriminatory towards the other side? It genuinely feels like Hollywood hates men just for being men nowadays. Its like a pendulum... It swings back and forth between two sides. The only way to fix it is to stop it from swinging entirely.
Great analysis!! I totally agree with you! I’m part of their target demographic. Well, mostly. I’m a brown man. But I’m also a writer. I also have a brain (don’t listen to my exes or my kindergarten teacher! I do so have a brain!! Stop telling everyone otherwise!!). The pandering is so on the nose and unsubtle, it’s offensive. It’s “white woman who thinks she’s the savior of poor little brown folk and ladies,” or “Kathleen Kenned Storytelling” for short. It’s so tone deaf and lost that they can’t even appreciate how bad it looks to claim you’re making a movie that will “represent” people like me while churning out an objectively awful movie. I’m reminded of a story from my childhood. I think it was Rolling Thunder Hear my Cry, but don’t hold me to that… a black boy is offered food by the lady of an affluent white home. The lady thinks she’s being kind and magnanimous. She’s even offering the boy the food she’s heard all black boys love! She even goes as far to say something to the effect of, “why, why aren’t you eating? You [upstanding black boys and girls of beguiling charm and integrity] (okay… it was shorter, crueler, and started with an N and ended with an R) love bread and molasses!” Except she offered him old and moldy bread. She thought she was being generous and thoughtful because she was catering to this boy’s needs. But she didn’t actually give a shit about him and was ultimately making the gesture to help herself out by getting rid of rotting food, and leaving her to be able to tell herself and undoubtedly anyone else who would listen, that she is no racist! No sir, not her! She offers Christian charity to those poor black folk. Disney is doing the same. They are telling themselves and anyone who will listen (apparently whether they’d like to or not), how inclusive and thoughtful they are, making movies to inspire all those young girls and women (most of whom will only watch it if they’re forced to in the first place), and will be playing on their phones while their dads, friends, and boyfriends get progressively angrier watching the shoddily produced Rey film no one but Daisy “I will trade my dignity for food” Ridley asked for in the first place. They are feeding their dwindling Star Wars audience moldy food, while having the *audacity* to berate us in their target audience when we quite reasonably observe that what we’re being fed is thoughtless and inedible. It’s lazy and frankly, cruel. And to brown ass forty year old men like myself, all it really says is that Kathy Kennedy desires to pander to unwashed melanated guys like me, girls and young women who would almost certainly rather be watching literally anything else, and any other flavor of the month minority group, that we are only worthy of rushed, indifferently crafted, terribly written third rate tripe that makes seventies porn look like Shakespeare. But that is offensive. It does nothing to endear Star Wars to anyone who enjoyed the originals. It’s talentless hacks like Ms. Kennedy taking a red sharpie to the storytelling of our American cultural heritage, loudly proclaiming that she’s “fixing” it because she knows what us minorities really like, but she’s also ready to bat us down and dismiss us as uncultured, stupid, subhuman brutes, if we dare point out the significant problems with her writing, thinking, and attitude. So no, Miss Kennedy. I shall not be eating your moldy bread and expired molasses today or any other day. And to Miss Ridley. I stood up for you when people criticized what a bland Mary Sue Rey Palpatine was. I said that she was doing her best with what meager garbage she was presented with. But listening to her berating people like me for not liking a character that is bested by most Harry Potter fan fiction, I don’t plan on spending any of my money supporting anything she’s in. The only reason she has a “career” (I’m still being generous) is because of us who enjoyed space opera once upon a time. I had hoped that my gambling my time and money watching Disney Star Wars would pay off with the occasional gem, and was even rewarded with two seasons of Mandalorian and Rogue One (I’m a sucker for Alan Tudyk and Felicity Jones), but at this point, I’m done with it until Disney wakes up or sells the IP, and now know that Miss Ridley is not an actress I’m going to support going forward.
The only good news involving a property Disney acquired that I’ve heard is that the Prometheus and Covenant movies will be decanonized and ignored for future Alien projects. However, that’s not saying much as Alien and Predator under Disney has no faith coming from me. But at least the showrunner behind the upcoming Alien tv series is doing something right by returning the Xenomorphs to being an unknown extraterrestrial species that just exists instead of a stupid bio weapon made 5 hours ago by a Robot named David. 🤮 Also, I’m guessing the Engineers are being erased from canon too and the Space Jockeys are now back to being those giant Elephant aliens that were found dead on the Xenomorph carrier ship in Alien 1979. Fine by me. Nothing against the Engineers, but I’d always pictured them being two separate species and they are just generic and Ridley Scott did nothing with.
@@JoakimOtamaa 👍Prometheus had it’s moments, and would’ve been better as it’s own original Sci fi story not part of the Alien universe, but Covenant was garbage. It also even outdid Alien 3 in pissing off audiences by killing the likeable protagonist from Prometheus offscreen. Well, okay maybe I’m exaggerating a bit as nothing is worse than Alien 3 imo, but you get what I mean.
Rey isn't a self-insert for Abrams... she's a self-insert for Kennedy. Brunette young woman overlooked and oppressed by a heavyset male who "owns" the Millennium Falcon? Best at everything simply because she happens to be her? It's pretty clear.
I disagree. An activist will never deliver anything other than propaganda, because everything is in service to the message. James Cameron, a director, writer and activist, on the other hand, will put the craft of filmmaking before the message, weaving the latter into the former, not the other way around. That's the difference. And that's why Alita Battle Angel was panned by activists.
@@JoakimOtamaa Yeah, but Avatar sucks because its muddled, indulgent, bloated spectacle, not because it's message-forward in the way Captain Marvel is or the Rey movie is going to be. Terminator 2 and Aliens were feminist films and James Cameron is part activist. You cannot deny this. My original point is that he is a filmmaker first, and if one of his films is bad it's because he's executing his craft poorly, not because he's putting his craft second to the activism, and that activism-first creatives will never produce anything aside from boring, unartistic propaganda.
Sharmeen did say she puts activism into everything she makes, whether it's overt or covert. And she said she enjoys making men uncomfortable. She is the epitome of modern feminism.
@@Criner05 I guess Im kinda responding to what he says at 12:57. Caring about a certain subject and being an activist are two different things. James Cameron is a good example. He cares about Feminism, or did when he made Terminator 2 and Aliens. He cared about hating soldiers which is why he made the Colonial Marines so dumb and inept. But he was more interested in making an awesome movie, and that's what came through. Today, he doesn't care as much about that, tho he DOES really still care about adhering to the original Alita Battle Angel than he does about his activism, which is why that wasn't the preachy bullshit Avatar was, and it's why activists hated it, because Alita was a fallible character rather than a propaganda icon. So, no, an activist cannot make a good movie. At least, not if the movie concerns something they're more passionate about than making a good movie.
I feel like the women who would make good leaders don't try to boast or push an agenda, so are not as popular. The agenda-pushing loudmouths who have superficial "toughness" end up becoming leaders because they shout the loudest.
If the rumors are true they want to make a What If animated series for Star Wars, I bet Disney would make it terrible just like how they have ruined Marvel’s What If comics with their crap series on D- (which by the way I was stupid giving Season 2 a chance during the holidays and regret and now I’m back to my MCU boycott streak.) If Disney can ruin Marvel’s What If, then they will definitely ruin the Star Wars: Infinities comics too!
If i was on stage and I heard that lady say the best asset she had was that she was a woman, i would have laughed and individually pointed at each and every woman in the audience and asked "you want her job?"
Star Wars is not a franchise meant for Streaming. It is something that is meant to be watched on a big screen. Disney's problem with its Streaming series for Disney+ is that those shows have a story meant for 140 minutes film not a six episode series. So they have basically stretched the story too long, it made the audience tired of watching them.
Lets not forget the most underrated problems. Watching every single piece if content just because it has Star Wars in the title. Rogue One, Andor, The Mandlorian, Obi-Wan show, Book of Boba fett, Ahsoka. None of these movies or shows expand the galaxy far far away. Instead were stuck in the past reminiscing over A new Hope. Can we move past the Original Trilogy nostalgia? Say what you want about the Prequels, but at least it showed us new worlds and ideas, now its the same three planets, same three characters, same three storylines.
There’s soo many stories they could be telling. I’m a HUGE Fan of the origin Xbox Knights of the old republic. You have a full story there ready to be made into a show. Yet they keep going back to things people hated. They will never learn
As a big SW fan I don’t even look forward to things anymore as someone who loved Clone Wars season 7 the only things I look forward to still are Bad Batch S3, Tales of the Jedi S2, Ahsoka, and Dave Filoni’s Star Wars movie I couldn’t care less about what else they release
I was watching the book of Boba Fett and i couldn't get over how Luke would eventually turn out. Luke from the sequels doesn't even feel like the same man.
They'd have to rewrite Rey from the ground up and use the veil of the force to have her destroy her alternate Mary Sue self and thus destroy the sequel trilogy for a better one written by George but, perhaps using the name Rey and Daisy Ridley for me to even consider even caring about that movie. Otherwise, its no different than some blogger writing a fan-fic.
What if The Rise of Skywalker leaned into the mistakes of The Last Jedi instead. Rey has no parents of note and Luke hates life but mentors Rey as an angry old man. Kylo takes over the First Order and is the big bad. Rey attempts to train Finn to fight Kylo together as Jedi. It would have at least been consistent.
I love how these kind of videos avoid the elephant in the room here which is womens inability to understand the concept of quality control and tendency to prioritize identity over talent.
I won't say Rey couldn't be interesting, but it would take a major rework at this point. for example, what if she finds that with Palpatine gone, her powers are disappearing, and it turns out she gained all those powers from force contact with her parents who were in fact on random desert planet all the time watching over her, but unable to interact for fear of Palpatine's influence. Her father (and yes, it would have to be father!), was a Jedi master and the son of Palpatine, he transmitted his skills and knolege to Rey in the hopes she'd distroy Palpatine and snoke. Once this was done, he was able to rest. Rey then finds all this supernatural help gone, and herself in a galaxy with no Jedi, no legacy, and must look to the past to earn her skills, must journey to Luke's island where she finds he was there for some much more important reason than just drinking alien titty milk and feeling sorry for himself. Break Rey down, force her to learn from the past, and more specifically from past male heroes. Let her lose all her gains and have to realise that she was piggy backing on the achievements of others, and needs to climb back up herself. then! You could redeem Rey. But of course they'd never do that, what! suggest that women aren't perfect and might need to learn things occasionally? And that men of the past might have valuable lessons to teach? I mean it's not as if iconic female characters of the past from the Bride in Kill Bill to Buffy the vampire slayer ever had to actually learn! anything from men is it! How unthinkable!
This is no different than when the comics code of authority in 1954, insisted that comics were to be treated as children's property in thus needing to be censored of violence, adult themes, motivations & dialogue stripping the heroes like Batman of any relatable characteristics that comic book readers and fans could relate to all supposedly in favor of childrens interest. This is how we ended up with BatMite and Batman fighting colorful Aliens and weird space creatures alongside his dear old chum Robin his 1st Ward 🤔🤢😞🤨🙏🏾😳
The first woman I'm aware of to shape Star Wars was Marcia Lou Lucas, George's wife. She edited the first three Star Wars movies.
How would she know that? I’m betting you she’s probably not even seen clips on RUclips from the previous films, much less knows their actual history.
Thats an exaggerated rumor that even Marcia has debunked
She worked as an editor just on the first Star Wars
Yes she help in the editing but it was mostly George who did everything in all 3 films
She confirmed this on a book that was released lilke 4 years ago and in that same book she trashed the Disney movies lol
Yea, but that doesn't fit well with the story that this new woke female director wants to portray since she is such a trail blazer after all. So just pretend it isn't real. Actually, I think disney put that in star wars legend after they bought lucas films.

And they inevitably seem to destroy everything they touch, driving both men and women away, but always blame those big bad misogynists.
@@EyeOfMagnus4E201 No blank required, my friend. Just : Jennifer Lawrence is the first woman to ever. Nobody ever before her as she was the first.
The most egregious aspect of the new trilogy is truly the amount of wasted opportunity.
If at the end of the movie, she had accepted being a palpatine and said that instead of skywalker, the movie wouldve been a bit better in my eyes. With the track record of Hollywood right now I can’t imagine anyone truly capturing the stories of characters like Revan, Bastila, Meetra, Darth Bane or Satele.

Kenobi was the last straw for me. Stepping past all the dumb politics and stuff, it was just... boring. Nothing happened.

F Disney!!!
My conspiracy theory is that Disney is trying to kill theaters in order to save Disney+
No, Rey sucks altogether. I think Daisy Ridley's acting even sucked. It made me cringe.
Disney Killed Star Wars!!!

I hope the upcoming Indiana Jones video game won’t suck that Bethesda is working on.
Indy Scrolls? It'll be awful
They're under Microsoft: the Disney of Gaming. I wouldn't get your hopes up.
@@Soup-man yeah you’re probably right.
It's Bethesda, it will suck
You [upstanding black boys and girls of beguiling charm and integrity] (okay… it was shorter, crueler, and started with an N and ended with an R) love bread and molasses!”
Except she offered him old and moldy bread.
Great concise comment
6:42 God damn, we're cooked.
The best thing in those movies was the music. I found Prometheus quite good but Covenant was absolute travesty. I fuckking hate cliffhangers also.
Disney's DEI hire ... they come, they destroy, they corrupt. It always ends the same.
Real Star Wars
(1977-2015) 😭
at least when clone wars came back it was good
Off by ten years. Real Star Wars was only written by George Lucas. That ended in 2005.
1977 - 2020
1997 with the Specials. Then Star Wars got spaced in 1999 LOL😂😂
1997-2012

Avatar movies still suck. Take the effects away and they're just every `90's environment movie with fuckin Smurfs.
Thats not propaganda, it is a desperate try to cover up terrible and/or stolen stories with pandering.
Disney hires activists instead of writers or directors.
You, my friend, are correct.
I think Disney or Lucasfilm is laundering money or something. It doesn't make any sense that every production needs a ton of reshoots.
Disney already had their own Star Wars type blockbuster franchise: Pirates of the Caribbean! 🫤
I hope you're having a good day, folks. :)
Amazing what Disney did, literally achieved the impossible. Running Star Wars to the ground.
If woman are so good at being in charge than why have they destroyed everything they've touched since 2016?
I feel like the women who would make good leaders don't try to boast or push an agenda, so are not as popular. The agenda-pushing loudmouths who have superficial "toughness" end up becoming leaders because they shout the loudest.
In an alternate timeline Star Wars is currently perfect, sad we are in the bad timeline.
yes
mega
cant kill what ended in 83 with return of the jedi
not just star wars. anything they can get their hands on. Wolverine too
If the rumors are true they want to make a What If animated series for Star Wars, I bet Disney would make it terrible just like how they have ruined Marvel’s What If comics with their crap series on D- (which by the way I was stupid giving Season 2 a chance during the holidays and regret and now I’m back to my MCU boycott streak.) If Disney can ruin Marvel’s What If, then they will definitely ruin the Star Wars: Infinities comics too!
I'm hoping they are doing this to be like "hey we tried that but it didn't work" and move the fuck on. But I have doubts
I feel bad for Andor. It truly was amazing, but Disney had already hopelessly ruined the Star Wars brand, and I can't blame people for ignoring it.
Andor was so fucking boring and basic
@@SplitGooseThank you I hated andor too. There are far more interesting characters to focus on than Anbore, being Churrit Iwme and Baze Malbus
@@SplitGoose well go back to you coloring books, little buddy.

Prepare to be disappointed and maybe even upset by those as well.
@@Criner05 well actually I have a lot more faith in the animated stuff than I do love action as of currently tbh
Man! Your content is of great quality! You do less of these videos than other youtubers ,but its of better quality. My kind of humour too. Keep it up!
Keeps are as effective at restoring hair, as Disney are at making good Star Wars movies.
keeps will make ur dik fall off
I was watching the book of Boba Fett and i couldn't get over how Luke would eventually turn out. Luke from the sequels doesn't even feel like the same man.
It is already dead if you ask me 😂😂
It’s a rusting/rotting ship
You know what we need? Movies based on Kyle Katarn.
Luke Skywalker was a hero in star wars but a sinister villain in real life after supporting nazis in Ukraine and genocide in Gaza.
If there's one thing I learned from this video, is how to squat fkn down
Well they’re doing a hell of a job destroying Star Wars. They might even be working faster than Kurtzman and Paramount destroying Star Trek.
You forgot the most important. Disney is counting on people reacting to the absurd. Streisand Effect sort of thing.
How the hell was Andor so good when everything else ended up super dissipointing
My thoughts exactly! Rey was linked to Palpatine all along, but with him dead, those powers went with it.
