      Thanks, should get the new mount tomorrow. I hope it is the right one. I got the light adaptors today. So if it goes good should be starting the install tomorrow night. I can't hardly wait myself.

      It's no show truck but for its age the truck is in great shape. It will get a new paint job in the future. It has taken awhile for me to get it where it is today. I don't have a money tree in my back yard but I will get it done some day. My dream setup would be a twin turbo.

    • @Qdog2791
      @Qdog2791 11 лет назад

      mossman381 Yeah i know how you feel money doesn't grow on trees. If you did everything to it all at once it would take the fun out of it. Just keep going away at it as you can. It looks really good so far!

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  11 лет назад

      I was going to do a few thing to my truck but found the plow. I wasn't going to get a new plow this year but couldn't pass up the deal.

  • @allied1394
    @allied1394 11 лет назад

    That's some tough terrain to plow it's tight for a truck as big as yours but you definitely need a 1 ton to be dealing with what you are nice job didn't think you were gonna make that hill haha

    You know when you turn the corner like that with your plow turned you loose all of the snow and your defeating the whole idea of the plow concept

  • @outdoorsman2003

    Must be nice w/ the v plow now! U must get the job done much quicker, right? What's ur opinion on the western wideout

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  8 лет назад

      V plow works better for me. I have never run a Wideout but I am guessing they work great for big open areas.

    • @outdoorsman2003
      @outdoorsman2003 8 лет назад

      mossman381 yeah, my dad has a blizzard power plow like the wideout and he does all of his driveways with it, and he also does a gas station and so far he loves it. I know the thing he likes best about it are the cylinders, he says that they are much more beefier than his 9' western

  • @allied1394
    @allied1394 11 лет назад

    Yeah but just imagine how much better it will be when you put that plow in V and just cut down the middle of it so much better for you and the truck

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  11 лет назад +1

      That and another 3" on both sides won't hurt either.

  • @erickuehn9161
    @erickuehn9161 11 лет назад

    Sounds like the truck is. Really working how deep is the snow?

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  11 лет назад +1

      Not sure how deep it was. 8-10" maybe. Some of it was old snow and you can see where it was drove on which didn't help.

  • @thomashorn100
    @thomashorn100 11 лет назад

    it would be really nice to have a v plow with that much snow. and that much area.

  • @asphaltwarrior1

    Is this so you have easier access to the marsh in the spring time ? Like is that when all the works starts?

    • @asphaltwarrior1
      @asphaltwarrior1 7 лет назад

      I see the answer just below lol

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  7 лет назад +1

      For flooding and sanding the marsh. Also to be able to drive around the marsh and keep an eye on things.

    • @asphaltwarrior1
      @asphaltwarrior1 7 лет назад

      mossman381 you guys have trouble with hunters on the property at all?

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  7 лет назад +1

      No, dad use to let people hunt our land but not anymore. We don't really want people walking around with guns by us.

    Do you plow in 4Lo when in the fields?

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  11 лет назад +1

      No, you need some speed to plow that much snow.

  • @ryanbrown5993
    @ryanbrown5993 9 лет назад

    your doing it all wrong you put the controller in the right hand and steer with the left lol just kidding nice vid

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  9 лет назад +1

      +Ryan Brown I have always used my left hand for the controller. That might be because I have plowed with trucks with manual transmissions. Even with an auto I think my way is the best. You can shift and steer with your right hand.

    • @ryanbrown5993
      @ryanbrown5993 9 лет назад

      +mossman381 I don't know why but I've always done with the right maybe because I'm right handed

    Make a great race track

  • @allied1394
    @allied1394 11 лет назад

    Absolutely are you gonna put some wings on it I know some guys that have wings on their boss and fishers and they are running about 10.5 to 11 that's so much better for covering large areas like you have when you mounting it up

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  11 лет назад

      Might attempt to make some wings this summer for it. I may contact Snowdogg and see if they have a prototype they can send me :) The guys with wings are about 11'. That would help with the duals. Just checked UPS and the mount won't be here till Wednesday. Probably start the install Wed. night. I have to remove all the Western stuff. Might be able to get it done by Thur. night.

    what type of gas milage are you getting out of that

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  11 лет назад +1

      I haven't calculated my gas mileage since I put bigger tires on it. I was getting 17-18mpg with city/country driving. Keep in mind I was doing what I call baby footing the throttle to see how good the mileage could be. You start getting on the throttle much and it will go down.

    • @EZlawncare19
      @EZlawncare19 11 лет назад

      yea thats common sense.

    • @EZlawncare19
      @EZlawncare19 11 лет назад

      but that not as bad as i though i was thinking like those old diesels get like 6-12

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  11 лет назад

      I probably get 10 pushing snow. The LB7 Duramax gets the best mileage out of all the Duramax engines. Mine has no cat from the factory. You should be able to get in the 20's easy on the highway.

    • @EZlawncare19
      @EZlawncare19 11 лет назад

      that a lot better than i was thinking. i know the new 6.7 from dodge and force and the 6.6 from gm get good milage

  • @jonnigaavich5387
