Imagine Jesus gazing into the eyes of those who tortured him, the ones who drove the nails into his body and him knowing " this blood shed, i do for you too". It's quite powerful to think about

What gives you the arrogance to claim to know the truth when you have no idea if it's real or not? It's the same with every religion. It's about what YOU want to practice and put YOUR faith into that matters. To call it the truth and condemning others makes you worse than anything else in the world and a fire is burning in eternity for your soul if there is one almost assuredly.

Actually Jesus was not God Almighty! The Father. Why would he call out to the Father if he was the Father? Why would he pray to the Father! Why would he say the Father is greater than he? Why would he say it is the Father who sent me? The trinity is a fake doctrine concocted in the 3rd century by philosopher Tertullian who claimed to be a Church Father but no record ever existed of that! He left theChurch and began practicing Montanism which the Church considered a heretic teaching. The Church Fathers refused to repeal his trinity doctrine because it would make them look incompetent when they said the Church doctrines come only from the Holy Spirit. Tertullian was neither holy or a true follower of Christian faith yet somehow convinced the Church Fathers to adopt his Trinitarian theory! The Church was the center of influence at the time and philosophers were eager to get involved in Church teachings in order to become influential and recognized. Many tried. Tertullian and Augustine of Hippo both were able to influence Church doctrine by introducing non scriptural theories which the Church Fathers adopted as doctrine!

WE CAN NEVER DIMINISH THE SUFFERING JESUS WENT THROUGH FOR US. He was forsaken in this moment and this moment only because he had taken on all the sin in the world and become sin. We deserve to be forsaken therefore the only just thing god could do to reconcile man with god is forsake his only son in our place. Attempting to diminish or lessen the suffering that Jesus truthfully took on our behalf is a dangerous thing. We cannot lose sight that he was given the punishment WE deserve therefore it is only logical to conclude that God did actually forsaken him in this moment. Complete disconnection with the father at this moment was the only justifiable punishment for what sin brings. And knowing that is a freeing experience and brings a whole new meaning for what God himself did for those who don't deserve it. At times it is incomprehensible. Nonetheless we cannot deny that he was forsaken because otherwise we have no hope of not being forsaken.

Otherwise his death would not have been equal to Adam’s and would not have sufficiently covered the sins of mankind!

He was not forsaken not once the scripture tells you that Jesus had complete trust in God the father and never faltered from it . Jesus knew he was going to die on the cross he tells his disciples over and over again yet they do not believe him. The translation from Hebrew to greek got messed up. I truly believe that the truth is not that he was forsaken if that were true Jesus sacrifice was for nothing but abandonment.

I recently watched the passion of christ. When God gave his last moment he mentioned the word "forsaken" which brought me to figure out what he was actually meaning.
But as farther I go into details the whole explanation just brings me right back to the same question. I'm so sorry but everyone who tried to explain it or is explaining it just seems like they try to give the spot light to how Jesus saved us. (I personally think that is real love)
But the actual question remains on why did he mentioned that to his father? I saw people mentioned psalm 22 where he also mentioned that word "forsaken"
Yet I saw in the movie "passion of christ" that Jesus went on his own and also cried out to his Father telling him why have you left me alone.
It's been a long time since I've saw the movie but since I'm reading the Bible I just wanted a clear path a straight answer no going around the bush with the answer yet I don't think anyone really knows the answer they just assumed. I hope someone can correct me because I'm trying to get in the correct road to heaven if my God the father spirit and Jesus christ has me written on there list.
I also want to apologize to my father to why I have that question but I hope someone can bring me to the light

🧩Psalms 22:1-31 (KJV) My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.
But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,
He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.
But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.
I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.
Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.
Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.
I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.
Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.
I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations.
All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

Good video. Just a thought: Never did Christ call the Father 'his God' or 'my God' as Jesus was God. Since the Bible never states specifically that the Father did in fact turn away from Jesus we must be mindful of this fact. I believe such an adherance causes us as Christians to believe that God will turn his face from us. Jesus was fulfilling passover, on passover and I believe all of heaven was looking on in great anticipation as the Son of Man, God in the flesh, Jesus, was fully reinstating mankind to a pre fall condition. That in my estimation was more of a victory than the resurrection itself. IT IS FINISHED. The three most powerful words ever uttered for Jesus was saying essentially, Satan you are finished.

He took on our sin and was forsaken by God for just a moment. This is a fundamental part of Jesus' suffering and the punishment he took for us in our place. Jesus wasn't quoting Ps 22. Ps 22 was a prophecy about Jesus. The people couldn't understand what Jesus said, they thought He was calling for Elijah.
Matthew thought Jesus was speaking Hebrew and Mark thought Jesus was speaking Aramaic.

I have often wondered the same. MAYBE because in that moment Jesus had taken on all the sins of the world so God had to distance Himself (God cannot tolerate any sin). This must have been so overwhelming because during His life, Jesus had been sinless and so had always been one with God. But there on the cross - with the weight of the world's sins on His shoulders - He was spiritually removed from His Father and must have felt so abandoned. That is just my understanding though and I am still striving to learn so much more and deepen my knowledge. I don't know if that helps but I just wanted to share my thoughts.... God bless you. ✝️

He created us with free will so that we could have the capacity for love and understanding of Him authentically ... When we created sin due to having free will , the world became full of evil ... We began to question God and His love for us because of all of the evil in the world ... He was so hurt by the questioning and was so desperate for our love that he gifted us with Himself in human flesh ... Capable of feeling everything a normal human could feel . This human was called Yeshua (Jesus) . Jesus , the son of God , lived a life free of sin and was Christ as man who walked the Earth spreading love and gospel . God loved us so much that He had His son take on the consequences of every sin in the world and was crucified on a cross for claiming to be King . Jesus asked God why did He forsake him . God rejected Jesus on the cross because he was full of sin . OUR SIN . God knowingly rejected his ONLY and PERFECT Son just to show us that he loves us and will forgive us . God is not all good . When people talk about the Trinity just being one existence, why did the scriptures tell us that Jesus will be sitting at the right hand of his father? I understand that Jesus is the spirit of God in the flesh. God being one in the trinity has people believe, does not make any sense whatsoever when the son of God would cry out, why have you forsaken me. ??????? It seems to me that Jesus was wanting the pain and suffering to go away. The humiliation that he had gone through, especially in the end, maybe he was thinking that he should have been delivered quicker to the grave.

Jesus was dying in the mountain from baring the sin of man. Jesus preyed to the father that he would stay the cup of wrath he was about to drink. Your explanation doesn't make sense, you are rationalizing and picking parts of the Bible to justify your beliefs but not speaking facts to exactly why He said "my God, My God why have thou forsaken me." I'm a firm believer in Christ but I am not a Christian for this very reason. I get annoyed at Christians always trying to give answers they don't know because they feel it Will question their faith.
Another example when Jesus called the Canaanite women a dog in Matthew 15:21 28
So many so-called Christians on RUclips tried to rationalize this saying that he didn't call the woman a dog he called her a little dog or he called her a lost puppy. At the end of the day he called her a freaking dog. This is what turns people off. Or they to justify that him calling the woman a dog was acceptable because her people on the Canaanites were very bad people when it was clearly a derogatory and races remark demonstrated to teach his disciples compassion because they were racist against anyone that wasn't a Jew. I said it is what it is.
Look you get the point, just be honest and tell the truth." I don't know" stop trying to always make up answers.

have a Jewish friend who claims that "sabachthani" does not mean "forsaken." Can you clarify?
    Answer:
Language, words, and translations can be a bit tricky. To claim that sabachthani does not mean forsaken is either right or wrong, depending on context.
Sabachthani generally means to have been abandoned or left behind, but it means to have been abandoned for a purpose or reason.
When we generally think of “forsaken,” we think of an uncaring abandonment. The Aramaic word for being abandoned without care or because of being unwanted would be taatani. The Aramaic for being abandoned because of being forgotten would be nashatani.
In the context of Jesus on the cross, it is clearly a reference to being abandoned, but it does not imply that Jesus felt his Father carelessly abandoned him.
In some ancient cultures, in order to pass from boyhood to manhood, the young male would have to spend the night alone in the wilderness. Alone and in the dark, the young male might wonder, “Why did my father leave me in this place?” But the young male knows there is a purpose to being there and that his father knows what he is doing and is doing so with love.

Assyrian and Coptic Christian's word for God in Arabic/Aramaic is Allah. They are not Muslim.
    Allah = God
    Allahi = My God
Walahi = I swear to God.
Look up the scene from _Passion of the Christ_ He says, "Allahi"

i cannot understand that concept of taking sin, he took all of the sins, now he is a sin, god hates sin, etc... no sense... or is it an attempt to justify the fact that god allowed his son to be tortured?

First of all I start my words by saying as Jesus said( peace be upon you) see John 20:21 and as Muslims do when they greetings each others.
If you see Bible of nowadays, in the beginning, we will find that Genesis say there is only one God. Despite the fact in the introduction you will find Christian scholars want people to believe in trinity. If you go and ask people why you celebrate the birthday of Jesus Pease be ubon him in winter, ask them where is mentioned in Bible he was born in winter, in fact he was born according to Qur’an in summer, and Bible say this as well. And you can check it easily. If you go to Matthew chapter 12:38,you will find Jesus Pease be ubon him told them that his example like Jonah. And Jonah people they thought he was dead when they thrown him in the sea, but he was not and he was life three times as Jesus Pease be ubon him. If you go to John 7:6,He told his people that his time hasn't come yet. And the answer easy from Islam because he will come in the end of this world to Kill anticrist, and save Humanity. Just think about deeply *. If you see John 7:36,Jesus Pease be ubon him said (I'm going to him who sent me, you will seek me and you will not find me, where I am you cannot come) it is clear when they want to Kill him he will ascend, because they will seek for him and no place on the earth to find him. He is as Qur’an says God (Allah praise be to him) lift him up. And I can prove from Bible he is not the one who was on the cross, because Jesus Pease be ubon him he knew that he gonna crucified and he told his people, and as Christians believe he done this to remove the sins, but it was not correct, check Matthew 27:46,the person on the cross was crying God why you forsaken me! So if Jesus was ready to sacrifice by Himself for you, why he would say such words?! Like someone disappointed by his God, Ask yourself, that means it was not him on the cross.
Now I will prove you from Bible That there is Prophet has to come, and this Prophet is Mohammed peace be upon him, go to John 16:7,8,9,10,till 20,you can see clearly he was referring to someone has to come, some Christians people they think he was talking about holy spirit but this is not Correct, because if he was talking about holy spirit has to come that means he has no holy spirit inside him at that moment. Or he was fare away from holy spirit because he mentioned that if I don't go away, he will not come, and I will prove here in this context the spirit of truth means Prophet, If you see the book of revelation 4:6 (The seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth) so if you ask Christians they will say we have only one holy spirit, but according to Bible everything can be holy spirit Prophet also. If you check John 4:1,2,it is meant false prophets equal to false spirits and and Good prophets refers to Spirits of truth. So Jesus Pease be ubon him said something but people today say something else to convince their desires. See John 6:14,Jesus Pease be ubon him gave them an example about the leftover of the food, and people said (he is the Prophet who is to come) and it is compatible with Islam as it has the final book and last prophet. And I have seen many verses referring to Prophet has to come in Bible. But still Christians they don't want the truth *.
If you Go and see psalm 95:3...11, you will see it mentioned the 3:God is one as Islam say , 6:and the worship like bow down and kneel before the lord as Muslims do
7:we are the people of his pasture, as Muslims say we are his servants, 7 for forty years.. This number is the same when Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him received the revelation for first time. And if you check the next 96,oh sing to the lord a new song, is referring to a new language (Arabic) because this for first time a new language for Words of God. And if you see 13,(before the lord he comes) also refers to the last Prophet (Mohammed) because all what mentioned compatible with his character. And still many signs and hints in Bible refer to Islam and last prophet Mohammed peace be upon him but I will mention only few because no space for that. And more and more but no place to mention everything about the prophesy of Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him in Bible and check also psalm 98:7,8,9. And now I will show you how Jesus Pease be ubon was Prophet not God. If check you will see that in Bible all people who were chosen by God Bible call them Sons of God and the father refers to God. Because in that old language they referred to People as sons of God and to the God as Father, now see in Bible Mark 13:32,Jesus Pease be ubon him clearly mentions that he has no knowledge. And this means he was not God only Prophet like others, representing God on Earth. See John 7:16 he said (My teaching is not mine but he who has sent me (if anyone's will is to do God'sWill) that means he was only prophet as the previous as Qur’an say. Go and see John 20:17, Jesus said to her (do not cling on me, for he I have not yest ascended to the father, but Go to my brotherS and say to them Im ascending to my father and your father, to my God and your God. And this clearly shows that he was not God, it mentioned many times such verses. But people they don't want to open their eyes and see the truth. Go to Matthew 5:17(Do not think I have come to destroy they law or the Prophets, I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Now in the end I would like to say thank you for reading. And I advise my Christians friend to read Bible carefully. And not follow what people say follow what your book says. Because all what have changed in Bible and despite many things was deleted and added by people. But still many and many verses referring that Jesus Pease be ubon he was a Prophet and he was not die on the cross. I have read Bible a lot. I didn't see any single verse Jesus Pease be ubon him says I'm God and worship me. It is only people idea to take Him as a God. Jesus Pease be ubon him he is son of Mary, he has no father, and his birth was a miracle and his life, and we have the first Prophet Adam peace be upon him have no father and no mother, so consider please. And open your mind see the truth and believe in Allah and the last spirit of the truth Mohammed. It is mentioned in Qur’an what means that Jesus Pease be ubon him will witness against people who consider him as God, because he didn't say* read Bible carefully and you you will see Islam in his correct verses. Read Qur’an and you will see all answers to your questions in Bible. GOD cannot be human, human has an end, But God has no beginning and no end. Nothing can describe him, beyond our imagination, the Creator (Allah) praise be to him. We need him we are his creation Allah doesn't need us, The most powerful the wise... I can't describe. But I remind you from verse in Bible (I'm who I'm) if you read Bible you will understand what does it mean.
Islam believes in all prophets, from Adam, Noah ...Jesus And the last one is Mohammed peace be upon them all. And all books but we follow the last revelation Qur’an. All prophets they were came with one message to Worship one God (Allah),the only one Perfect. So please do not make your Prophet witness against you. Read and read Qur’an and you will understand why you are here in this land. GOD not like human needs to eat or sleep or get sick, he is the creator and he does not sleep or get tired or anything what you thing. He is we can't describe him. Praise be to him. So my Christian friends, I'm telling you I did not understand the meaning of life till I found Islam, I read everything I can read but I didn't feel like now when I'm a Muslim.when I'm a Muslim I feel this is the best Gift from God(Allah) so I advise to read about Islam from the Qur’an and hadiths not from what you see in the media or people who say we are Muslims and they don't know about Islam only name or people who use Islam as a way to control above others, so you read Qur’an and Islam and see by yourself the beauty of Islam. The religion of all prophets the religion of peace . And I finish up my word from a verse of Qur'an:
    Ayatul Kursi
    The Throne Verse (2:255)
Allahu laaa ilaaha illaa huwal haiyul qai-yoom; laa taakhuzuhoo sinatunw wa laa nawm; lahoo maa fissamaawaati wa maa fil ard; man zallazee yashfa'u indahooo illaa be iznih; ya'lamu maa baina aideehim wa maa khalfahum; wa laa yuheetoona beshai 'immin 'ilmihee illa be maa shaaaa; wasi'a kursiyyuhus samaa waati wal arda wa la ya'ooduho hifzuhumaa; wa huwal aliyyul 'azeem
Allah! There is no god but He - the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor Sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there that can intercede in His presence except as he permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures As) Before or After or Behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His throne doth extend over the heavens and on earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them, For He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).
May Allah Guide you all to the way wants. Amen.

Your othman book, quran, is a book of lies and fables. Does it gives you one shred of evidence that Jesus was never crucified? How can you trust or believe a book written some 900 years after the actual event took place by those that are not even natives of the region where Jesus was persecuted?
