I got my Raptor tuned by Winfield back in Sept of 2020. I had the Cobb Stage 1 tune prior and the truck felt great but the Goosetune stage 1 was just a whole new animal. Absolutely amazing tuning by Winfield. That said I do still have the Cobb TCM and have been thinking of letting him tune the TCM as well
I have a 2019 with an aFe cold air intake, Ngauge MPT tune, Corsa catback exhaust, and the aFe blade runner intercooler. So far everything has performed outstanding. Love this truck. Yours looks great btw. Keep it up.
Did you get the Corsa sport or extreme? I just traded my 2014 which had a Corsa sport. Obviously night and day sound difference with the EcoBoost. I know the EcoBoost can sound better but I was worried about making it sound bad..
@@Captain-Awesome I have the Sport. I figured I could always add the x-pipe later if I want to. It sounds great as is, and has no drone so I don’t think I’ll bother. I also have the “VTA mod” on the blowoff valve, so it has a very entertaining whoosh when you get off the gas
Good to know there is a tcm tune now my 17 has had trouble with 2nd gear not engaging right away and also rough shifts in sport. I have the Cobb off shelf tune for about a year now and it alone is way better. Thanks for the video, showing this please show more in the future
Yes if you have rough shifts I highly recommend reaching out to Goosetuned. He can get you a custom tune for the Cobb and it will drive much better than it does even with the off the shelf maps. More videos to come soon!
Awesome video, running stage 2. Mishimoto intercooler, AMS boost tubes, colder plugs Motorcraft sp542's, Cobb carbon fiber intake. I can't wait to reach out to goose for his custom tunes with tcm. Cobb off the shelf tunes are pretty tame, plenty of horsepower and torque to be had with custom tuning.
Ohhhh....goodbye warranty. Aren't you worried about that? I went with a Roush level 1 upgrade that's certified by Ford. It's not a "super" tune like goose or MPT but close enough. Sweet truck... enjoy and good luck!
Haha no I'm not worried about that. The truck is a lot more fun to drive now. Noticeably more power and smooth just like it should be from factory. If an issue comes up with warranty and they prove it was the tune, I'll just pay it out of pocket.
Thanks for the posting...I have a 2018 as well and wondering how the truck has been performing since 2020....what were the custom maps you worked on for your tuner or was it simply a stage 2 with TCM goose tuned....Thanks for your time and sharing.
Goosetuned is a custom tune using the Cobb accessport. Rather than just using off the shelf maps, Winfield (owner of Goosetuned) will collect data from your truck and tweak your tune to get safe and powerful results. The ECU and TCM tune together are a game changer.
Thanks, congrats on your new truck! My front bumper is the ADD Pro Bolt On, I love it. Also saw your other question, I think the AWE 2FG Exhaust that I have makes these trucks sound so good. I’ve got a few other videos on it!
i have that annoying 3rd to 4th gear hesitation only on the first shift, did you have that before the tune? how is it after the tune on a regular mode not sport! is it still gear hoping?
Yes my shifting got really bad, that’s initially why I did the tune. The custom TCM from Goosetuned was a massive help, it smooth things out a lot especially in normal mode. But also in sport.
So, question. Once you have the 91 octane tune installed and say you're on vacation and need gas and all that's available is 87 octane. Can you fill up on 87 without harming anything or must you have 91 octane at all times in the tank?
Have you done a follow up video with new 0-60? Just got my ‘19 and shifts are bad. Curious how much more prep the stage 1 gives with everything else stock. Great content! I also followed your IG
Thanks for following along! I haven’t had a chance to do an updated 0-60 video, but I need to do that sometime. The main reason I did the custom TCM tune was because my shifts were getting so rough that I hated driving the truck. It’s smooth as butter now and much more fun to drive. I highly recommend a custom TCM tune from Goosetuned.
Goose is the way to go! Message him and let him know Nate sent you. You can purchase the Cobb from him directly and it will have the tune loaded on it. It’s super easy and changes the whole truck, especially with the TCM tune.
Yes it can be traced, but there’s ways to try and hide it. Although I’ve had warranty work done and cam phasers replaced with the tune on. Depends on your dealer, most places are weird about it.
Why no stats, 0-60, 1/4 mile, power at the wheels from dyno? Looking to get a Raptor 2021 or 22, and want to know real HP at the wheels, along with the other stats.
Lemme go throw it on my dyno in the garage and pull those stats for you lol. The 2021/2022 models aren’t even out yet, nobody knows what any of those numbers are. As far as my truck, you can go to the Goosetuned website and see dyno results from the tune on a similar Raptor. I haven’t had a chance to do a video yet of the new 0-60 time but it’s definitely quicker. Hoping to film another video about it soon.
I just got my access port from Goosetuned. So initially you selected install ECU and TCM from the access port but then you went back and installed the TCM separately. Is it necessary to do both steps?
@@raptorsofinsta Thanks for the fast reply. I love trucks. Fords and my last three were Toyota tundra. I bought a Dual Motor model 3 in 2018, sold my ICE truck and will never own another one. I have a Cybertruck on order, but the R1T or R1S looks real good too.
It’s recommended to use a battery charger because installing the tune initially takes a bit and you don’t want to risk the battery dying halfway thru. But I have heard of people not using a charger. So it’s up to you if you want the risk.
My truck was just in the shop for 3 days getting cam phasers, wheel bearings, hub actuators and IWE fixed. I didn’t uninstall the tune and everything was covered under warranty.

Sorry to hear that. I’ve had cam phasers and other warranty work done at the dealer and they know about my tune. Just have to find a cool dealer to work with that doesn’t care.
Do I understand you correctly......you and two of your buddies, all with Raptors, have blown motors?? If that is the case, what are the odds of that?? Wow.....
If you go to goosetuned RUclips and watch the first video he ever posted you can see that you can remove the tune and set it back to factory before you go to the dealership very easily. So the answer is no, it does not.

Hi. Which is faster? The Ford Raptor trunk or the Tesla model Y? How are you and the family liking an Electric car?
The Tesla Model Y is for sure faster. Hard to beat the instant electric torque, and it’s 3.5 seconds 0-60. We love the Model Y, it’s been a great car.
