I blew up a 2.0 ecoboost with a Livernois tune. Ran great right up to when coolant started pouring white smoke out the exhaust 😂. Ford replaced the engine under warranty and didn't ask any questions.
Did you do any other performance mods prior to engine blowout?

Ford ecoboost are the big dogs. Iv had a ecoboost f-150 sence 2012. New. Has so many miles on it i cant type all the digits. Lol. Also has a livernoise tune sence 2017. Love it. Pulls a 26 foot box trailer almost daily sence I'm a lawn care guy

The stupid ford lockers automatically disengage at 25mph and re-engage when you get back under 20 mph. It sucks. I bought an interface from SPE that makes it stay locked in as long as you have the switch engaged. Friggin manufacturers think they're so smart.... lol

I had the exact same truck as you rick before I got my f350. With the tune in it it would pull on my wife's 2018 wrx. Pretty amazing really. Miss that truck

Awesome! That was a lot of fun to watch. I have a 15 eco but run an unleashed 91 octane tune since new. Never run anything but 91 ( hard to find 93 consistently here ). Only issue I’ve had is I’m on my second throttle body.. my next truck I will go Livernois, just like the package of tunes I seen there. My tuner is a SCT. Unleashed does offer data logging/revisions though. They’ve been good to me as well. All Good stuff

Love it! Never would have thought the man van would beat the Raptor! Nick PLEASE put a set of wheels on the Raptor.... Thats the only thing Ford failed on with the El Raptorrr.
I was concerned about the ecoboost in terms of longevity 150+k miles and would imagine the problems to start showing up sooner if tuned. My local Ford dealership talked me out of the ecoboost for that reason, so I got the 5.0. They told me since 2011 when the 5.0 and 3.5 eco came out, they have had 100+ eco trucks in the shop for service due to valvetrain issues around 140k-180k. They only had 3 5.0 trucks and they were radiator / waterpump issues. But after doing a level lift and putting Raptor wheels and 35" tires in my 5.0, it's now a dog. Tune a 5.0 similar to my set up and line it up next to Sous Raptor or even the Man-wagon. After watching this and seeing what all you guys tow and how far, kinda makes me wish I got the Ecoboost.

not to discount your experience with livernois, but calibrated power’s tunes for the eco boost have flex fuel options. it’s also a cloud based system so whenever there is a tune revision, you hop on the app, download it to your phone and flash your truck from your phone. pretty slick

Both excellent products, I’ve tried both (Doug) and chose Livernois and been running their tunes for years now. I DD with a tow tune in case I need to hook to anything heavy unexpectedly, then throw the big dog in occasionally for fun.
@@110Garage A friend of mine has the 5 star on his 17 3.5L and runs the tow tune on the daily also. Thanks for the reply! If u guys are ever up for a WV/Pa ride (Raptors or Sxs), I would totally be down!
@@110Garage @Doug Seems like my raptor is very firm/rigid when I shift from Park-Drive and on 5th gear shifts, do u think the transmission tune will clean some of that up or possibly highlight that characteristic more?

I have a 19 f150 with the 5.0 10 speed and I got a tune from 5 star and holy smokes its night and day! Topped it out at 145 mph on e85 before I lifted it on raptor take offs. Got the wife one with the 2.7 (also lifted on 35s) but she won't let me tune hers lol
Not much of a Ford guy myself and the next statement will prove it. Never knew Ecoboost came in Raptors. Always thought they ran with the 6.2s. Learn new stuff everyday.
Great video. Used their whole downpipe package and intake on a Taurus sho and it ran very good. I have done a couple of raptors with aJLT airbox Livernois down pipes and tuning frome alternative auto in chesterfield mi. Nick..... we should line them up and see who's tunes perform better. Keep in mind all friendly lunch wagers because Dan Millen and lidio are friends. But still competitors.

I had a 2012 ecoboost it made 304 to the rear tires on dyno with an exhaust and a cold air intake i had jp in van buren Arkansas tune it on the dyno and he got it to 413 to the rear wheels with him tuning it felt like a completely different vehicle.
I had a livernoise tune on focus rs, they make great tunes

Livernois makes a great tune. Ran one on my 16 for 55k miles until I sold it.
If you like obnoxiously loud blow off valves, I would recommend the turbo smart BOV for the ecoboost. I had one on mine and it was awesome. Definitely loud
