I love how Lindsey 'nods' to the camera at the end of each verse...he's 'directing' the Director ; )
The ultimate anthem for road trips and summer vacations, all thanks to Clark Griswold's legendary quest for FUN across America with his family.
It's not officially Christmas in my house until this song is played. It's been this way since the 80's and will remain that way :)
How can this man's name not be a national treasure... he's beautiful, can sing his ass off,has wrote, collaborated, directed some of the best songs in history....was one of the better parts of one of the best band's in history
He is stunningly beautiful. And sooo talented. He is extremely underrated.
@@emilybolognese1056Lindsey Buckingham is one of the most highly regarded musicians of all time. Underrated? Nah
We just discovered this song after watching the Vacation movie with the family this Christmas. We ❤ it!!!!
Was Lindsey Buckingham with Fleetwood Mac?
It's a great song anytime!! And I think he was at one time part of Fleetwood Mac
Me: : plays this whilst making dinner :
Eldest son : comes in kitchen, shocked : "THIS IS A REAL SONG?!"
Me: : blinks : "Uhm... yeh...?"
Eldest son: "I thought it was just some shxt from commercials!"🐾
“Clark, have you lost your mind? Where did you get that?”
“Sporting goods store, honey.”
The "oh oh oh ohhhhhhh" woman singing in the background reminds me so much of Olivia Newton John.
Sometimes* I just listen to this song 20 times in a row on repeat
*most weeks
Right there with you.
Hahaha me too 😂❤
Which is what I'm doing right now
Me too
Doing it now😊
I am 44 years old and love Fleedwood Mac and Lindsey’s Solo work as well. It’s the kind of music that speaks to your heart
I did not expect this as the official video. I have the National Lampoon's visuals in my head so much I can't think of it any other way.
"Gee Dad, you must have jumped the car 50 yards!"
"Thats nothing to be proud of Rusty............ehp 50 yards"
What a great film
Shut up, Russ...
😅😅😅
The best line of the movie I'm laughing my ass off right now thank you
😅excellent
I was this second old when I realized Lindsey Buckingham sang this song I’ve heard for 40 years. How is that possible???
Same.
Me too! I know the song so well but never knew who sang it lol gen x here
I thought it was Kenny Loggins then said "oh yeah" after seeing this. Your memory is the second thing to go...
Holy hell in a handbasket. i’m 46, massive National Lampoons AND fan of Fleetwood Mac/ Lindsey Buckingham and NEVER KNEW HE SANG THIS SONG 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Never knew this was lindsey Buckingham! That is just awesome! My favorite artist and one of my favorite movies
I love Lindsey Buckingham too!❤❤❤
This song reminds me of how much I love my family. I have the soul of Clark Griswold. 😀
Cousin Vicki:I'm going steady, and I French kiss.
Audrey: So, everybody does that.
Cousin Vicki: Yeah, but Daddy says I'm the best at it.

My dad used to make us go on unwanted road trips in the 1980s. And this song was always playing in my head😂
@claire hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
Living in KY, my grandpa would take my cousins and little brother to holiday world. This song always takes me back to those hills. 5 of us piled in a Mitsubishi eclipse.
The best looking guy of the whole 1980s, surely! And still looking pretty darn good at 73.
I'm only 25 but man the 80s give me a nostalgia feel for a time I wasn't even born in
National Lampoon's, "Vacation" and now "The Bear". Fourty years apart and STILL a great soundtrack song. ❤❤❤
This song is such an ear worm. Great song.
I love this song. As soon as I book a Vegas vacation it’s played several times a day 😁
I have never heard music in my dreams before but I just woke up from a late nap, and this song was playing clear as day right before I woke up. I probably haven't heard this song in 15+ years, my parents use to always make it a ritual to watch the family vacation movies during the holidays. Definitely a new favorite pick me up song
Lindsay will be eternally grateful to the Vacation films for making this song iconic
You write more even than you think you do, by using the word "eternally" - this is the point of the song, with its special lyrics...
Such happy times back then.
