RUclips is the closest thing we have to a time machine, allowing us to listen to these classics, making us feel like we were back then.
I agree .. it’s brilliant … so so good
To add to that - I see so many young people, like teenagers upward, stating on here how lucky us "oldies" were to have been around when the charts were ruled by decent music. It speaks huge volume - indeed we were spoilt!
There's a lot of old songs that you never hear on the radio before (espeically this one). So that's why I discovered them from the internet and TikTok in general. And this song is such a hidden gem!
YES ...... BUT FUCKRUclips !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, takes me right back to exactly where I was listening to this. The car, the year, the outfit, etc …
This is a masterpiece, this was a hit in 1981, i"m now listening this song in 2024 and i wish it was 1981

Happy Birthday to Lindsey Buckingham! He turned 74 years old on October 3rd, 2023! A great singer and guitarist!
A genius.
One of the greatest...
Yes he is. He is quite talented.
100% correct
And still sexy as hell.
My wife who died of cancer in may of 2020 introduced me to this song. I was like" I been missing this masterpiece this whole time?" Because I had never heard it....so anyway we enjoyed this song on repeat for over an hour. She danced w me w her little baldhead.bless her heart I knew she felt bad but this song made us both dance. It will always be one of my most cherished moments w her..
So sorry for your loss 😢 May this song always put a smile on your face.
What a sweet memory. Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss...
She left you such a beautiful gift. I’m just SO sorry she couldn’t stay. My husband died recently too. Your post, just reminded me, it’s time I start listening to the music we loved♥️
My wife died of cancer on 12/20 also. I feel for you. If you haven't done so try to find someone else.
Blessings to you
Lindsey is one of those rare breeds i dont know anyone who makes records that sound like his..
I met a girl (2) weeks before I left for the Army in October 1981, I wanted to go awol, what an awful feeling having to leave. It was love at first sight. I listened to this song everyday and yes, she waited for me. Happily married now for 40 years in (married in October 83). This song brings back every great memory of that time. I bet I’ve listened to this song 500 times in my lifetime. Thank you forever Lindsey, you’ll never know how much this song means to me and I’ll always know how old this song is.
Congratulations ❤
Man that have been tough
Incredible life you lived. Thanks for your service. God bless America. Hello from San Francisco California
That was sweet. You are very fortunate. Thank you also for your service…. It had to have been difficult to leave her to serve.
Same thing happened to me but there was no happy ending . I met a girl in college 3 months before I joined the Army. A month before going to basic training she decides to break up with me because she said that if I leave, she’ll feel lonely and heartbroken. Till this day, I feel devastated and betrayed. This was back in 1996. Anita, if you are reading this, shame on you. You could’ve waited till I came home for leave, created a friendship with me while I served or we could’ve gotten married and you would’ve been with me in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Ya, that was my permanent station. Hawaii. Honestly if I can go back to 1996 and never join I would and maybe find a better girlfriend.
It’s solo Lindsey Buckingham but still sounds like Fleetwood Mac. I miss this era of music ❤️
Mick Fleetwood is there too.

Lindsey Buckingham is only underrated by people who don't know Lindsey Buckingham. He is a true musical artist in every sense of the word. He can sing well, has great range, sing with incredible feeling, arrange, write lyrics, produce, and man, can he play a guitar! I had the privilege of seeing him live during his "Out of the Cradle" album tour - good lord - guitar wizardry. How he can play the way he does on a guitar for extended periods of time - without a pick - is simply beyond me. I've seen Lindsey on his own in concert, Fleetwood Mac with him in concert, and Fleetwood Mac without him in concert (twice), and the first two I mentioned had so much more depth to them, and they really REALLY missed his voice, and his guitar-playing.
I met a girl at a BBQ who was a friend of a friend & she commented that she couldn't stand the music that was playing. Forget what song. I asked her what she was into & the first name she said was Linsey Buckingham. I nearly dropped my beer. This was prob 8yrs ago & she was maybe in her late 20s. I was so blown away. I was prob 40yrs old at the time. She seemed surprised that I even knew who she was talking about! People who know truly appreciate what an extraordinarily talented musician he is. This song takes me back man!

Lindsay Buckingham is a deadly singer I reckon to Football Lover and the song Trouble is very neat.
2024! I wish so bad I could go back to the 80's! Beautiful song! That guitar! Sigh!
I wish I could go back to the 80s too. Oh man, the music, the carefree times...

The 60's, 70's and 80's we had no phones, no internet, no computer games just GREAT music. I'm so glad I got to be a part of it as it happened. Oh Lord bring back the good ole days.
phones existed in the 1800's, the internet was invented in the 60's, computer games in the 70's....I get what you mean, but no historically accurate...however the music was freaking awesome...and still is

@@joetravieso3542 That's a clown comment, bro. Did you have the internet in the 60s. NO. No web, no web pages, no HTTP. Did you have a smartphone (the real meaning of the OP) in the 70s? NO. Nobody did. That's also "historically accurate".
You are 100% right ,so much better music without all the bulllcrap

This song and video never gets old. Appearances by:
Drummers
Mick Fleetwood
Dennis Dunstan - former manager of Fleetwood Mac (ca. 1981-late 1990s), Mick Fleetwood, and Christine McVie
Dwight Twilley - friend of Tom Petty
Bob Aguirre - Fritz drummer, a band that Stevie and Lindsey were also in (1966-1971)
Dick LaPalm - publicist and promoter
Andy Ward - Camel drummer
Guitarists and bassists
Rick Nowels - later worked with Stevie Nicks as a songwriter and producer
Walter Egan - Stevie and Lindsey appeared on/produced his first two solo albums
Bob Welch - former singer and guitarist of Fleetwood Mac (1971-1974)
Bob Weston - former member of Fleetwood Mac (1972-1973)
Steve Ross - friend of Lindsey, worked with Mick Fleetwood's Zoo
Ray Lindsey - worked with Fleetwood Mac and Lindsey Buckingham as a guitarist and guitar technician. Played rhythm guitar on the Tusk and Mirage tours.
Thank U for posting all of those other players names, I could only recognize Mick, Walter (whom is so damn adorable here TOO!) & Bob….
Walter had "Magnet and Steel" also likely a song about Stevie Nicks. Dwight Twilley had a pretty big career in country/crossover rock. Bob Welch had a couple pretty big hits- Ebony Eyes and Sentimental Lady.
Really great to see all those awesome musicians in one video, kind of like when you see multi groups for the hall of fame inductions or an event, like the Concert for George Harrison.
*Twilley. Loved his song "Girls."
I love the way it starts
Something tells me that you might know some of these people personally. Thanks for the great information.

He's sadly overlooked by a lot of people. Master guitarist and has great vocal range. There would be no Fleetwood Mac without him

Yeah, shit i like it too. I've been gem hunting, digging into Miami Vice music that was used for the series. Their name came up so i started looking into them. Bliss is listening to this while cruising on a city highway in the middle of the night.
Yes! Several Fletwood Mac and Lindsey Buckingham songs have that feel. Perfect night driving songs.
His voice is so beautiful and the way he looks into the camera and does that little smirk I love it
It's great to see Mick Fleetwood helping out his friend in the video.
I don't think they are friends right now.
@@rubedogg6969 Thanks to Stevie for driving a wedge between him and the rest of the band. South Park got it right 20 years ago when they called her an old goat.
Stevie would've never would've been in Fleetwood Mac if it wasn't for Lindsey.
Does he play on this recording though?
@@alexkx8599 - Sure! That’s him - the big guy up front on the drums!
I CANNOT imagine being a 16 year old and THIS is a hit on the radio. Last bell rings in highschool, walk to you're car, turn it on to go home and this is playing.
I was an 18 year old and this was a hit on the radio.
I lived exactly that scenario at 16. Drove down to the pizza shop on Main St, by that time this song ended and Van Halen ‘ Oh Pretty Woman ‘ was beginning. Waited for it to end, went in the pizza shop, ate a slice and had a soda, played a few games of Asteroids with the 75 cents change I had and then drove home. First song playing when I started the car was Eddie Money’s ‘Shakin’…… I’d go back in a heartbeat.
I'm sure you can't. You write like you never finished highschool.
Two of the guitarists are former FMac guitarist Bob Weston and Bob Welch (with the glasses) and another one is Walter Egan, the guy who did "Magnet & Steel" in 1978 that featured Lindsey and Stevie. And I only figured that out TODAY watching the video in HD for the first time ever. For some reason, back in 1981, I seem to remember the video much darker, and on a smaller TV set, plus I didn't know who Weston was, or what Bob Welch or Walter Egan looked like. So there's that.
This song reminds me of a daydream 💭😊 beautiful

I loved this song when it came out in New Zealand around 1982 and I was about 12 years old. I'd forgotten it until tonight when I was reading Lindsey Buckingham's bio and saw the song referenced. Oh yeah, that song! I clicked on it and, wow. I knew every little trill, every feathery guitar note, every dependable beat like the back of my hand, like a stamp on my heart. I'm 52. It's been 40 years but I'm 12 again, in my parents' kitchen, standing on a chair listening to the radio on top of the fridge. It enthralled me then and it thrills me now. Thank-you for this gift of a song, Lindsey Buckingham.
Yeah, good thoughts. So THAT’S how old I was when it came out??!!🤣😆.. it’s funny when you’re experiencing things for the first time, such as good music, and how it strikes you in such a profound way. I’m a 52 ‘old man’ so as you know now, but it’s not that we’re getting old and how we keep grasping at this good old music, but rather the music today is terrible & it can’t hold a candle!! 👍

Lindsey has some of the most unique guitar riffs.
I'm such a fan of this guy. He's just a genius in my eyes. His songs are so carefully thought out and composed, so much craftsmanship. Yet with all that polish, there's always something coming out of left field with him. And I love how firmly rooted in the 1950's and 1960's he is, yet fills his material with contemporary or modern flavours. He's just a genius in my eyes.
Even when I was kid., his guitar playing amazed me. While my friends were into EVH and George Lynch , my hero was LB

Eu tb!
I love this song ever since I was a kid as I grew up I've grown to like it more....I was born to late to see all these great bands live in their prime.....😔👍
My car died on the road in the middle of a blizzard, but the battery kept the radio going, and I loved hearing this song echoing over the white show banks and the dark night..
This song is like singing to someone who doesn't know you love them as much as you do. It's beautiful. ❤
Lindsey Buckingham is such a wonderful guitar player. This song only has 10 lines of unique lyrics but his guitar playing makes it magic.

Lindsey is one of my favorite guitarists. He's up there in my book with David Gilmour and Mark Knopfler
Absolutely!!! Magical tune
Just when you think it couldn't get any better
the guitar solo kicks in💗
Totally agree with you!!!
Thank God!!
This is for all the people believing that only good music came out of the 80’s.
Never imagined that rock can be relaxing. Masterpiece.
Soft rock
Dude I was weird. When I was like 12-15, soft/light rock was all I listened to
Like a dream.
My God, the sublime efficiency of those ghostly guitar solos. The man is not just a musical genius, he has machine gun fingers with Merlin's magic touch.
Nov. 12th 12:27 AM and u just came across this gem of a song, I’ve always liked 80s music thanks to my dad. This song brought me back to the days where I was just young NO WORRIES just happy times with my father… I MISS U DAD 🍻
How did I never hear this song until recently?! It’s so amazingly enchanting. ❤
hearing this song..takes me back....warm summer day...12 years old...riding the bus home from school..breeze blowing because all the windows are open...just on my way home..wondering what I was going to do when I got there...not a worry in the world....from a time in my life...before I got old and things got complicated...Im 52 now..and this memory...I have the exact same memory about a few songs..but this one stands out so clearly...the soundtrack to my life.
I hear ya brother
So much yes!
That's beautiful ❤
Sounds fantastic...happy times
Me too! I'm 52 later this year. If I could go back to those childhood days, I'd be there in a flash (& I'd stay there!) 😂
Who remembers this song from the movie Just One Of The Guys?❤️😄The 80's were friggin' special&Lindsey is awesome!!!

Estou aqui na escuta sempre com esta bela canção
Para mim a melhor música de todos os tempos!
This song really conveys the sort of dreamy wistful longing of a teenage crush.
Oh Lord... I can't believe that I finally found this masterpiece! I used to listen on the radio when I was young! Now I feel bad for the people who never heard this song!
With that face...and eyes, I suppose he was in "trouble" alot of the time 😘😘😘😘 Love this 80's gem 🔥🔥. Love his magic with the guitar!
❤❤❤
Even still, worthy of many kisses Lindsey!
Girl you nailed it ❤
Absolutely right ! With such sexy guy I would get in trouble 👿
He’s definitely a hottie
I can hear this beautiful guitar picking in Fleetwood Mac ( gypsy )...the cords that sold the song....
Truly Talented and moving 💙💯👍

Lindsay buckinham!
@@raffaojedayes... Lindsay Buckingham !
It's the way he plays....💙💯👍
I haven’t heard this song in decades and all of a sudden the tune just popped into my head while I was on the way to see my surgeon after he removed a large tumour recently.
Not even knowing who the artist was, after my appointment I quickly went to RUclips and typed in “ I think I’m in trouble”, and the first song that appeared was Trouble by Lindsay Buckingham. I thought hmm, could the song I’m thinking of really be from the same guy who was in Fleetwood Mac? I hit play and was instantly transported back to my childhood. Such a beautiful tune.
