      Don't say God's name in vain it's a sin against God it says in Exodus 20:7 "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain." Please don't make evil normalized please! GOD IS COMING REPENT! BEFORE IT'S LATE!!!! Be baptized with Holy Spirit and water. Deuteronomy 30:19 "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live."
      God isn't an monster God loves you and so do I. Give your life to Jesus Christ and repent of all your sins, even the ones you've committed in the past.

    I adore how Greta really gave Amy justice through her adaption. She really did an incredible job with making the film about each one of the girls as individuals... Not solely focused on Jo. As someone who identified hugely with Amy when I read the book, I greatly appreciate it.

      I have never read the book or watch any of the version. This was my first and I love Amy the most. She and Jo share some similar qualities, like how they are very true to themselves. But Amy doesn't put herself at way too high of a standard for love like Jo. Which makes her more loveable.

    I understand the interviewer so much. I almost didn’t want to watch it. I grew old with May Alcott’s books and the story was made so many times and I didn’t want to see a version that ruins my childhood but Greta’s version is the best ever made. She made justice to all of the March’s sisters. I loved the movie

  • @lucialp1937
    @lucialp1937 5 лет назад +12

    What I don't understand is, why did Jo eschew marriage in the film, and have a career as a "literary spinster" on the one hand, yet Amy decides she's "good but not great" and gives up art for marriage? Amy's original, L.M. Alcott's sister May, DID in fact have an art career in Paris and was quite a success. It would have been more plausible if she'd been the "artistic spinster" surely? (Even if the real Amy, May, did get married at 38 years of age and died in childbirth shortly after.)

      Interesting question! I would love to hear Greta Gerwig answering it. I bet she would give it thought and also use the opportunity to relate it to her own research before filming. I love her quoting from the book so much and saying how she could have used all these lines (and more) from the original text to go on a tangent and create a whole different movie based on the book. You can tell she is really invested in it, the literary source, the life of its author as well as into her own craft as director and the art of acting brought to it by her entire crew. "Lady Bird" & "Little Women" have turned out to be such well-rounded movies because of it. Again, I very much appreciate your question, as it really goes deep! Have you ever considered going into (art/film) journalism?

    Wait so did Jo marry in Greta’s movie? Cause I thought when watching the film she did. I was upset seeing Jo get married (unless I’m wrong) since this feminist film emphasized on the fact that Jo is a woman that can make it through this world alone without a man!

      I think it is up to interpretation. Even at the end when he is at the school they don't touch or anything so he could be just a teacher there. Even if they are married I think that it was such a nice wink and nod to Louisa May and the audience saying "hey! she didn't want this but it is how it was written"
