Not enough chains tying down the dozer Idont have a CDL. I thought you have make sure the load doesn't leave the trailer even in a accident. Is this not the case the would be considered a unsecured load,.
It was properly secured to the trailer. If you watched and listened to the video, the 18-wheeler got hit by a mazda driver driving recklessly, causing the truck to hit a barrier, knocking the bulldozer loose. Almost all over size loads involving machinery require grade 120 chains, rated at 5200 to 27500 lbs working load limit. Not including the force from the impact which factors speed and weight.
Chains will keep a load from falling off the trailer go down the road. A impact this hard will break your tie downs, even your trailer. As you can see, this was a bad wreck. Done ✅ heavy haul for the last 35 years with no accidents or incidents. No driver wants to be in this scenario. By the grace of God nobody else got hurt 🤕.
All the years I drove semi the cars will do anything to play games with the semis so they can collect insurance 99% of the time it's not the trucks fault it's because cars swerve slam on their brakes and don't give the trucks a choice

Have you ever been in a semi I bet you'd never have because you would see the games at the cars play with trucks sometimes the truck is at fault but most of the time it's the car is playing games changing lanes real fast slamming on their brakes all because they want to collect insurance I was in that truck for many years and I finally got out you should ride in a truck with somebody for about a week that's all it would take to see what happens

That’s a dumb question. He could have been in the right lane and lost control and ended up in the left lane. Or he could getting over to the left for a left have exit or merge lane. Plus not ever left lane is restricted to big trucks.

The term '18 wheeler' is like what the Brits call 'Lorry'. It's generic term and a reference to a big rig with a trailer. Since most all of them have 18 wheels. Some that will have less or have more as in this case.

Plenty of trucker do wrecks caused by jackass's in smaller vehicles because they are in own little world and to hell with everyone else. Have ever been in the left lane wanting to pass slow traffic in the right,but some ass is in left lane drag racing the slow ass in the right? Or have ever notice people merging from an on ramp think that the freeway traffic àre supposed yield for them?when the law says oñ ramp traffic must yield to freeway traffic and the on ramp is to get your ass up to the speed of the flow of traffic.
