    your video saved me from taking out the regulator rivets, cant say thanks enough. I used your method on a 95 lumina apv, different door panel but exactly the same motor. It worked!

    Your technique of drilling holes to get access to the motor was awesome!!! Genius!!! You saved me a lot of time by avoiding the removal of the regulator. This technique needs to added to the Hayes manual (with royalties paid to you of course). Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!!

    Thank you so much for this tutorial, I was completely lost trying to figure it out on my own, and my uncle was trying to take out the rivets for the window regulator before I found this. So, thanks again.

      Paul Stalker how did u remove slide lock

    • @paulstalker4428
      @paulstalker4428 7 лет назад

      Nick Aguilera the slide lock clips off from the rod. A bit of jiggling and it comes off, its held in place by a 90degree bend in the end of the rod slotting into a hole in the slider. You can just push the rod backwards and it should clip off.

    I saw a product called AutoTrix, its a different wiring for the windows, apparently runs power from your battery to make your windows really fast..

    So I followed your removal and installation but what I realize is that the window has a small gap right behind my seat which it isn’t making contact with the weather stripping, any ideas?

    How do you know where to drill the holes and how do you know it's directly fit from keeping it from not moving thank you

    You didn't show where you put the push button on the door or the driver side, normally the driver side door has two of them to power both windows and then your passenger which you've shown already, could you please show me your driver side power window, and give a ballpark figure of how much I'm gonna be paying for this transition! Thank You kindly! I have the same year 95 Camero but hardtop!

    What was the part number of motors that you were able to get? I can only find part numbers showing the whole motor and regulator assembly. Even a part manufacturer would help. Thanks!

    leave it to GM to rivet these damn things in there

    • @theedrstrangelove
      @theedrstrangelove 10 лет назад +3

      There is a reason for rivets over screws/bolts. Due to vibration from driving, opening and closing the door, and the movement of the windows, screws/bolts will loosen over time. If you do use bolts instead of re-riveting it, use a warpy washer and the strongest thread locker you can find. Best way though is to go ahead and put in a new assembly motor and regulator. The after market ones will last longer than the car. Also, obtain some window wedges from a place that sell auto body equipment and put them on each side of the window to hold the window in place.

    Can anyone tell me how your finding where to drill those 3 holes?

    • @The_Active_Region
      @The_Active_Region  8 лет назад +1

      +MISTAT45 If you drill a 1/2 hole in these approx locations you will see the much smaller rivets on the motor/regulator behind the fiberglass. I guestamated from a picture myself and had no problem.
