All you guitarists out there who are trying to make something like this, here is my opinion and view about this. This is really great track, it makes sense. It has killer riff and you may think that solo is hard but it is not ! Matt did it with great passion and feeling and that is what makes solo real deal ! Good Job on the drums too Matt !
What I love about this guy is that not only can he shred any of the guitars he owns, but he plays drums and bass and composes everything himself, AND IT ROCKS! I mean, this guy puts together riffs and themes and moods that many "mainstream" bands should be jealous of. If the drums were a bit more technical and the bass was a bit more complicated, one could easily assume this was one of Dream Theater's long instrumental sections. Another one of Matt's songs to go in my faves.

Someone sent me a link to the JerryC Canon Rock video about a year ago, and I just re-visited it the other day, and saw a post saying you had the best version. After listening, I had to agree! I love music, but wouldn't say I've been a big guitar solo fan until finding your work. It's better watching the video than just listening to the MP3.
