IMPORTANT NOTE: Know that I don't get notifications for new comments on this video. Combine this with school and it ends in me forgetting to check the comments. I will try to reply back no matter how late I am, but don't be afraid to say so if you don't want the part anymore. It's completely understandable
If you want to be notified that you didn't get a
part/don't want to be ghosted if you didn't get a part, let me know when commenting. I normally just don't reply and don't interact in any way with the comment of a user that wasn't accepted- because hearting a comment and then saying "you didn't get a part! :D" honestly makes me feel more rude than simply not replying.
So tl;dr: if you want to be notified if you didn't get a part, let me know in the comment you're making.
I'm starting to see a lot of comments with the same problem, so I'm putting this up and pinning it. *Read this before you comment!*
1. *I have permission from Skailla to host this. I asked her on the original video and she replied with yes,* she even sent me her steban's and the devil's official ref sheets. There is a link in the description. Click it and you will see proof if you want it.
2. *R e a d t h e d o c u m e n t when asking for a part. I can clearly tell when you haven't read the rules*
3. *Yes, this map is still active and going.* The MAP is still active (as of Sept. 23rd, 2023) and being worked on, but at a much slower pace than before because I've backed off from deadlines in favor of letting the participants make parts they feel satisfied with. I'm also slower to reply because school takes up a lot of my time, and often leaves me unmotivated to handle all these comments/waste the short amount of free time I have on it. That, paired with youtube not giving me notifications for comments on this video anymore, makes it pretty easy for me to take a while to reply, but that doesn't mean I will never reply at all

oh my god- i remember seeing shut eye when it came out and it is still one of the reasons why I am an animator/artist. So excited for this!!

There are many free programs without a watermark for pcs like Firealpaca or OpenToonz (I use them myself).
Everest That Weird Hufflepuff FlipaClip premium isn’t only 2 dollars and you can get rid of TGE watermark with it

The Devil looks like she’d be harder to animate than Steban.
I would love to join the map! Unfortunately I’m not anywhere near a more advanced artist or animator, but I still can’t wait to see everyone’s parts and see this map finished!

Hi there, I know this is old but if this is still open I am interested in being a backup for this MAP! I think this is an amazing idea, and I love Steban's design so much, but the interaction that he and The Devil have in the desert is so amazing-- the cinematography is beautiful.

Part 8? The fact that you’re the first person to catch my eye wanting to do a map on reanimating this story board into full animation is amazing! I’m probs gonna get the main characters names mixed up because I never got the characters name when I first watched Shut Eye uwu.

Don't know much about it myself lmao, but from what I understand a storyboarded map is a map where the host filled the parts with premade drawings/sketches for the others to follow when animating. Scripted maps are ones where there are no lines and sketches like here, the host just simply describes what the characters are supposed to be doing in each part

The story of Steban and the Devil always was a major inspo for me as a kid with my own animation and writing so I'd love to help reanimate it :D
Part 3 opened up recently if you're interested in picking that one up! But it's fine if not, a few others are also most likely gonna be dropped by next week so you'd get your chance then too

Oooh, could I take any part? This animatic is so nostalgic for me, it’s one of the main things that got me interested in the animation community. I’d prefer 6 or 7, since I think I’m better at lip sync than action, but I’m willing to fill in wherever you need it. I love how charismatic Steban is in this, and the devil’s compass eye is so mysterious and interesting. I can’t wait to see this as a finished map, I’m so glad you picked this up.

Part 1? I've always had a spot for this animation in my heart. I think Skailla did an AMAZING job with Steban's and The Devil's designs and I'd love to make their designs come to life in my style! (about watermarks, i have two programs; Animotica and Windows Movie Maker. WMM doesn't have a watermark and I will use it.) :3

Any designs that appear in the MAP are in the document, that's all the official and madeup designs you'll need if that's what you meant
