So the tutorial/guide continues. This is where things are starting to get interesting. I would like everybody to tell me there weirdest tyre compound choice. I will begin, I once used rally tyres on a Mustang GT for road racing with the car still in RWD... didn't turn out good😅
One interesting thing I learned trying to tune my 2017 ford gt for s1 is that if you run front and rear forza aero, the tires never fully heat up. I could only ever get them to the clear temperatures without sliding. I think its because the downforce doesn't let the tires experience enough stress to heat up. I just switched to a less powerful and lighter build with no aero and I'm getting to yellow with no issues.
If I may ask, what tyre compound were you running and was there a lower tyre compound that you could have chosen? Even if it was stock (I think the "17 Gt might come with sport tyres as standard)
@@racingreaperofficial I was running the stock tire compound which yea i think that was sport. So far my RWD no aero semislick build is working great in multiplayer lobbies. It's only real weakness is long straights since im running under 700 hp. Corners and brakes perfectly.
Ah ok, well you could try going down a notch with your tyre compound to add more power. Also, if you added weight reduction components, I would suggest you remove them. Weight Reduction will not add much to top speed as compared to power upgrades. Some good news though, next video almost done😁
The other way around. Too hot, increase PSI. Too cold, decrease PSI. There are other factors that can influence this though like the tyre compound may be too much for the kind of speed ranges the car is capable of so it may not heat up at all. Other things to note are increasing front tyre pressures will improve responsiveness to a certain degree and increasing rear tyre pressures will improve stability to a certain degree as well but you gotta keep in mind that there is a "perfect" setting that you will have to find but you gotta do this after you dial in the camber settings. You will know that you are not using the right settings when you see the heat map show that the outside and inside of a certain tyre is heating up more than the middle (this means pressure is too low) or it could be that the middle is heating up more than the outside and inside of the tyre (pressure too high) but it is best to test for this during cornering because that would mean that you putting the full tread of the outside tyres to the road surface (hence camber has to be sorted out first)

Awesome! 😎👍
Thank you😁

Nice 👌
Thank you😁
Thankyou!!!!
All good my dude👍🏼glad I could help👊🏼
what are we looking for when dialing in psi for the different compounds? too cold = increase psi.. too hot = decrease psi ?

Off-road race tires are also great for drifting
Shot for the heads up dude, what kind of pressures would you recommend when using off-road tyres for drifting?
