They sac them all, then he moves to 2nd main to make them lose their floating mana, then they have no ways of attempting to cast any answers, because most of their lands were tapped. At that point if he didn't win that turn, it probably would have been the next. They did almost nothing in their last turn, making me think that they had nothing left in their hands that would have mattered, so unless they got a lucky draw, it was already over.
A card that I’ve been running in Magda, to moderate success, is Possessed Portal. It’s EACH player at EACH end step so it snowballs quickly and Magda breaks parity on it pretty easily. Plus, if it ever gets to be a problem, you can just sacrifice it to itself.
I played it in my early Builds of Magda but switched it for Portal to Phyrexia. Get removal imidiatly. But i always liked the skip draw clause of the Possessed Portal in Response to a wheel during Hullbreachertimes.
Spoilers I doubt sacrificing the treasures to prevent the Dockside win would have changed anything, as there were 9 permanents on board anyway. It would only have guaranteed that Zeb and Cal wouldn't be able to respond, due to the tax effects (Ryan would have just moved through combat).
How did Ryan get to cast a dockside and a gamble with a sphere of resistance in play @10:48? I'm assuming he gambled for the dockside, which he wouldn't of been able to play til the following turn...
Love to see the Magda win, such a resilient deck. I have to say though that going for reckless fire weaver and repeating the clock loop would’ve ended the game a lot faster (though I suppose with no permanents from spine it’s harder to interact, but with throne of the god pharaoh and sphere of resistance and defence grid it already seemed pretty impossible). Great game all around!
It felt like Ryan didn't need to do the Slobad and Spine loop before winning. He could have just gone for the spellbomb loop immediately. It felt like he was just playing with himself at that point
If he went for the bomb and someone used something to remove it from a graveyard at instant speed he would not have the bomb to combo from. So he played it safe and reduced the chances for any interaction to 0, or rather forced them to interact now or get their board state reduced to 0, anyway a better play than just getting the bomb straight away as Magda probably cannot fetch good answers to instants.
Haha, i was smiling when the two treasure hoarders didn’t respond by saccinng in response to dockside!

Exactly what I was thinking. 😂
Lotho seems like a cool commander.
Edit: that was a fine bowl of spaghet

I run it in Arcum!

Ryan rubbing it in with Spine of Ish Sah
8:53 nice food token, Ryan.
I was looking for your comment before saying anything myself

Here for Magda. ❤
I love the sarcastic way you determine who goes first
Nice game. Great finish. Love the craziness that Magda can play.
Oh boy, Zoro got lost again and became a navigator
I loved the new animations when anouncing the commanders!
Call’s playmat is awesome.
That was a pretty fun match and really makes me want to make a Magda deck now lol
I saw the title of this episode and thought that somebody might have a Nether Void show up.. xD
what a cool combo, great video
9:37 I'm so curious what cal was making all those air quotes for
Honestly, I can’t even remember 😂😂😂
@@nintendocal5767 Pretty sure, it's because you were casting the force for "free"
Love it, love it, love it.
Bring on the all-mono colored cedh game. bwahaha.
The amount of time that goes into these videos is unreal
Sooo many treasures this game.
Where did you get those tokens being used for the treasures? They look awesome!

Leave Zeb alone 😂
Genuinely curious as to why Cal FoW the Ad Naus when Zeb was already at 27 and having to fight through GPS and Sphere to cast anything
What are those sleeves Ryan has? They are beautiful.
Did Ryan just forget to play a land turn 1? Its nice to see plays that I would make on this channel! Keep up the great work!
Must have been a london mulligan based on how the game played out
He only had 1 land being his pre-game Gemstone Cavern, and had Jeweled lotus for Magda so I just think he didn’t have any other lands
He exiled his only other land to gemstone caverns, lol.
Let's go Zeb!!!!!!!
Why did he countered the Invasion of Ikoria? I've never played with it, so I don't know the impact it can have
It gets Glint-Horn Buccaneer
That's an older Magda line, pretty inefficient/dead cards in deck. Maskwood - reckless fireweaver is much cleaner
It’s an older line, but it checks out.
Where do i acquire some of those fine treasure tokens? 😊
Luxury Playstyle. The link is in the description.
REBUFF THE WHAT?!!🤣
Its a good card!

How can Magda tutor up Slobad? What am I missing?
Maskwood nexus turns all your creature cards into all creature types in all zones
@@PhoenixRNH Totally forgot Maskwood Nexus was in play, whoops!
Maskwood nexus is in play at that point
That was a cool line for Magda to win with. I haven't seen that before
10:45 didn't zack have the win on board with helm, elsha and top?
Sphere of Resistance was also on the battlefield. So top still costs 1.
Why waassste the rift on the mimmiiic??? Bounce the gfs and play the helm of awakening you hopefully tutored for with gamble....
And could've went for helm the previous turn. Sure it broadcasts but pretty heavily stopped by the gfs and then the sphere
ain't no way you're using a Zoro art for a card called KEEN EYED NAVIGATOR

He already had searched up defense grid to go with the Throne so it was gonna cost 5 mana to put anything on the stack and everyone was tapped out.

those little treasure tokens are terrible omg. so hard to see
