I gotta to say, this is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. In ALL categories.
Thanks Freiherren
Kyle
Strongly concur. I don't think people are talking enough about just how beautiful this thing is. Far and away the most beautiful sword I've seen.
Check out his new sword, it's sick!
That is just a beautiful perfect amazing sword. In 500 years, people are going to be admiring that sword the way people admire Stradivarius violins today.
Thanks Sam
Good to hear from you again
Team Royer
My thoughts exactly. I've watched these videos a few times. It's a work of pure timeless art.
I think 500 years ago people would be amazed with this sword as well)
@@fedormarkvardt9054 500 years ago, this sword would have been the sole reason for the owner to be crowned a King. I would love to see what Kyle could do with the idea of Excalibur.
Fantastic you've definitely got some form of OCD,a good thing
Did you sell it ? How much is it worth. ..10k .?
"you guys can do stuff better than this"
me: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Sir..... this-is-astonishingly beautiful !! 😱
Thanks Press
Kyle
A little to much gold for a weapon design to make a gruesome work on a battlefield but if you like good looking things and posing its pretty :)
very nice work anyway , love to see it smashed very hard on bones blood or even armor ^^

Such a nice sword. I've seen a lot of custom knives that made my jaw drop. However, you're blades are like the Rolls Royce of the blade industry. Amazing work my friend!
Thank you very much Miiiitch88
Glad you’re here hanging out with us all
Team Royer
The witcher series needs to give a sword like that to Geralt
The drawing of the blade looks like a python skin! In general, it’s hard to believe what a man did with his own hands !!! It is divinely beautiful !!!
Thanks 👍🏻🔥⚔️☕️
Team Royer
Masterpeace!
I watched all the making of videos. Then happily watched this compilation! Great stuff.
Me too!
I watched them all and this.... and now I've come back again! Hahs
Can we all appreciate how amazing Kyle is and what he does with half the gear other makers have, but produces something 5 times more amazing and beautiful?
Respectfully, this is not HALF the gear, it's double the gear some others have. The results are still beautiful, nonetheless.
seeing the finished sword made me cry tears of awe, happiness, jealousy, anger, jealousy again, and last was majestic awe respectively.
Wtf 😂❔❔
Cry?? Lmao
@@heathzero this is 3 years ago and i was still happy in my life enough to cry tears
What a masterpiece, kind of unbelievable how beautiful it is.
My jaw literally dropped when I saw the fittings done. Now I'm absolutely amazed how the whole thing came out. Unbelievable work man! That sword is gorgeous.
Thanks Rogue

65k I think
Incredible! Imagine going back in time on the road to Damascus with that beauty by your side! The people would swear you were either a king or a wizard!
Way back in the day you could truly pass it off as a 'magical' sword. That kind of sharpness and durability and flexibility would have been straight-up supernatural to them. Like a "+3 Long-sword" in Dungeons&Dragons. And the mirror-bluing is bedazzling to the eye, EVEN TODAY.
I would love to see you do some stuff with gem Stones. With the epic gold work you do. That would be insane. Love your videos. They inspire me a lot to step up my quality.
Hey Adam
Thanks for sharing that with us
We want to be an encouragement
Two can go much farther together than one alone
Dad
I've watched many videos on RUclips of sword smiths but by far this level of smithing has gone to a hole new level, you truly are a master smith and you're creation is a wonderful work of art.
I can watch it again.
This is by far the best sword making I have ever seen on the internet.!!!And the most beautiful sword ever.
Watched to whole thing. And I wasent bored at any point..
Very well done sir...
I'm sure You don't have time to read every comment on every video that you put up, But the amount of patience and skill that you exhibit on a regular basis is mind-blowing to me.
kyle i started knifemaking a year ago , and let me tell you , you're my biggest inspiration to be a better knifemaker , i learned a lot from you , you're the best!
Thanks Nano
We get so excited when we hear spectacular testimonies like yours
One of our family and business missions is to encourage and bring people along with us on this journey
Thanks again Nano

I know a young man who makes custom furniture in his VERY small basement woodworking shop.
Custom orders only. Every piece unique. Prices are obscene...NO, WAIT....The first time you get a close look at his work, your slack-jawed face is wondering why his prices are so low.
You and he have that quality in common.
The title “Master” is richly deserved.
I am a 60+ crusty old biker / retired machinist, and when the shots of the finish-blued handle components came up, I’m glad I was alone. And then the finished sword.......
......words fail.
Thanks Mak
Cool story about the wood craftsman

Staggering craftsmanship. Absolutely beautiful end result!!!

This sword is insane. That is the most beautiful work of art I have ever seen. I want one so bad. Incredible work.
Wow, I somehow stumbled onto this video by accident and I’m so glad that I did… I have to say, honestly this is the most beautiful sword I have ever seen and I had the incredible honor of watching it be made- thank you for that sir! I tinker around from time to time and every now and then manage to “create” various items that give you the one of a kind feeling of satisfaction that comes when you finish something beautiful… I could only imagine how proud and over the top fantastic you must feel EVERY time you look at that sword and I think, “Wow, I am a fucking MASTER craftsmen!” Thank you for sharing this incredible project with the world!
You are the Michael Angelo of the knife making world. Your Damascus is always flawless and “Perfect”
Thanks Summer. I like the photo.
Cheers . Check out instagram the kids might like Kevin our heat treat oven 👍🏻🔥☕️⚔️

Great work Kyle, I would love to see you make a katana someday.
That “MS” is well deserved. An unbelievable piece. Truly stunning!
I am glad that Kyle can make the blades, and have his brother make the videos. This is a great team
I usually do not comment on videos, but THIS is the most AMAZING sword creation I have EVER viewed. Congratualations and well done.
Hey thanks Rick. Glad you are here hanging out with us all my friend

This has to be one of the most beautiful objects I have ever seen. Stunning. Subscribed.
By far the most beautiful sword I have ever seen in my life...I love it
Your sword is the most beautiful thing I have ever laid my eyes upon
Thanks Daniel
Kyle
I've watched the build already but that didn't stop me from watching this whole video again. The blueing on the guard/pommel/spacer makes it pop so much! This is the type of build that makes any bladesmith watch with awe. Amazing!
Thanks Tyrell
Kyle
This is the kind of story that inspires mythologies.
I like writing stories about swords and those that wield them, but this reminds of the vorpal sword!
Your attention to detail is extraordinary! Amazing work.
True master at work. One of the best swords I have ever seen!
Out of all the people I watch that smith swords and knives nobody’s come close to this mastery of skill. You make the most beautiful pieces I have ever seen. Someday I hope to get close to your level of beautiful pieces. The gun blueing is off the charts beautiful. Keep up the great work and videos. I will be watching always.
Such a privilege watching a master at work. The smallest detail with utmost precision.
Hey thanks for noticing my friend. Glad you’re enjoying the vids. ☕️👍🏻🔥⚔️
Dad
This is a masterclass in craftsmanship. Such a masterpiece😍 seeing the end result gives me goosebumps
You're a lord of the swords! Truly amazing work.
👍🏻🔥🗡
Has to be THE ABSOLUTELY MOST BEAUTIFUL SWORD I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! Hands down. Can you make Excalibur from the movie back in the day (1981). I can never make anything like this even in my dreams. Please take care of that sword, don't ruin it, please God Lord.
Hey thanks Scott.
Kyle
I have been a huge fan of Forged In Fire for years, and I learned a lot about the art. I would have loved to gain actual experience in doing it, but I can't due to my physical disabilities, and I especially love watching someone making damascus blades!
Hey my friend do what you can. Start with one small step today and add one more small step tomorrow. Little bites. Little victories turn into winning a war. We are in your corner my friend. You can reach me at jeff@royercutlery.com and we may be able to turn challenges into changes. Chao.

So I also watch Alec Steele and he got a custom sword tempering and heat treating oven from Paragon that was really nice. He has a sponsorship deal with them and I think he got it for free for plugging them. Y'all should look into that. It looked like a struggle to get that thing tempered and heat treated.
I like Alec but he can be a little to silly and then gets side tracked with stuff like sewing mittens. This is the type of work I like to see. All tho that feather Damascus Kris dagger that Alec did I would love to own almost as bad as this one. They are both very talented for sure and I hope to see more. Like a Katana Maybe?
@@jvmiller1995 that's the type of things I like about Alec. I'm a high school art teacher and basically watching a goofy kid explore what he can go and excel in his profession at the same time is my kind of thing! But I also enjoy the more down to earth nature of Royer and seeing how a more mature fellow approaches things. My specialties are pottery and small scale metal work though so I like a bit of everything.
@@Kate_Fyria I like him okay and he is amazingly talented for his age. I love the fact that he doesn't sugar coat or pretend if he doesn't know how to do something. Instead he lets us experience the fails too. But he lacks focus and jumps from project to project. Most people subscribed to watch him forge and learn how to black smith and blade smith but he sometimes loses focus. I still watch him and have learned a lot so I did not mean to slander if I came across that way.
That sword is beautifully awesome and awesomely beautiful! It is the most magnificent sword I have ever seen!
Thank you for sharing its coming to life build with us!
Thanks Robert

The music was absolutely on point. Not the generic copyright free music we've been hearing for 10 years. And the sword of course was on point.
The best blacksmith on RUclips and possibly the planet.
absolutely amazing. thank you for showing us such craftsmanship.
Thanks Douglas

From the Star Wars theme song at the end, the sword kind of looks like the vibracutlass wielded by Kiera in "Solo." Looks very classical.
One video, tens of tutorials, problem solving, it's a true display of what happens, and ultimate show of skill. Keep up the great work.
Thanks David
Merry Christmas
Sir that is by far the most beautiful sword I've ever seen. You've produced a work of art that will be admired for centuries.
That mosaic pattern is just gorgeous.. wow
That sword is just a phenomenal piece of art
Beautiful work, absolutely fantastic. You should be very proud!
Thanks David
Kyle
I never realised the work and patience and attention to detail that goes into making a knife or sword. You work at it so hard and spend many hours, days even months perfecting your chosen weapon. Even after repetition after repetition you are so excited like it’s the first time you have done this. Respect to you , you obviously love what you do and you bring us along with you. I would love to own one of your blades and I’m sure there are many that feel the same. Keep doing what you do. I could watch your craftsmanship all night, in fact I’m doing that now lol moving on to the next. Respect young man you have a talent for blades.
I watched all the separate videos previously. This was just as enjoyable to watch the second time. In fact, if you post this same video again in a week, I'd probably watch it. Your content is awesome. Thanks for everything you guys do.
I watched this entire video! That is amazing work of art! Beautiful is an understatement. I build knives and someday will hopefully make something like this! Thanks for the words of encouragement at the end of the video!

Only just discovered the channel. Absolutely stunning work! 😮😍
I loved watching this series and it’s great to watch it again. Do you have any plans to do another sword in the future? A rapier perhaps? 😎
Kyle might. One of the biggest request from you guys is for Kyle to do a Katana. If y'all keep pressuring him, he might have to do it. ;) ~ Josh
Amazing! I'm without words as to the result. I'm curious what value you would place on the sword if you were to put it on the market?

FIRST???????????????????
Sweet jeebus, use the CNC to cut out the guard
Mr. Royer... I have studied blades and swords my entire life. Academically through the Wallace collection and have examined originals and reproductions of blades for museums and exhibits and advising makers on technical aspects of originals... swords are literally my life! In my entire time I have seen only one other sword that I would consider charlamagne himself wanting! Your teacher should be proud . The final result is an effortless flow of artistic integrity and aesthetic quality! Any 15th century lord would kill kings for this piece. A marvel of understanding the materials you are using... they say a master makes it look easy, which you do.. I have searched your work and I simply state as a life long devotee of examining blades for academic purposes .... Kyle royer is the best maker of Damascus currently in the world! I search this stuff 8hours a day so I’m qualified to say so!! I saw Bruce bumps work and was impressed beyond measure but then I saw this blade etched!! This is the quality surpassing most renaissance and medieval master smith’s... absolutely extraordinary to watch... my mission now is to see a blade of yours in person for technical examination.... completely flawless!!
Hey thanks Charlie
Cool job
If Blade has a show in n 2021 we will be there. Look forward to meeting you
Merry Christmas

There are swords for fighting....and there are swords that just sit on a nice wooden stand, and you look at them. I wish I could have a piece-of-art quality sword like that one, though I don't think I will ever be able to afford one lol
I thought that level of quality is impossible but you changed my mind bro that’s insane !!!!!

Amazing work Kyle
oh man what an excellent swort! a piece of art! Now i barely can afford my basic expenses, but one day i hope i can buy something close to that. Keep the good work man. i enjoy your videos!
Outstanding! Amazing results from tons of work. Hats off to you, that is hands down, the most beautiful piece of craftsmanship I can remember witnessing. And to think that it was done with such a limited forge. Bravo!
Grazie my friend
Dad
This sword would have been an incredible gift even for the mightiest emperor.
What a wonderful piece o.O
Honestly one of the most amazing pieces I've ever seen crafted like this...a true piece of art!!!!
Iv watched this video avain and again, maybe four times now. Im actually blown away by the craftsmanship involved in bringing it to completion. When you mentioned that you spent two weeks alone on the guard, that put things into perspective. I cant stress enough how amazing the whole project is. You rightly deserve the title Master Smith. One thing I noticed tho, and you should pay attention to this, you seem to spend a lot of your working time in a stooping position, or with your neck and head leaning downwards. This might cause you problems in the future, so I would be considering raising my work tables and machines so that the work gets easier on the body. Well done again. It a real pleasure to watch ypu work. A real artist indeed. Regards Jack from Ireland
This is by far the same process I go through when drawing portraits. Anyone can do it if they simply take MUCH longer than initially expected
it doesn't just look awesome but the technique given to this forge will be the benchmark of its value for years to come
One hell of a sword beefy and authentic to what one would think a knight would use in a battle. awsome craftsmanship. perfection at its finest..thanks for sharing stay safe and keep em coming. Frank from Plymouth Florida.
