FEMMEDINA Tunis: Designing Gender-Sensitive Public Spaces With Women

Based on a participatory process with the local community to assess the engagement of women in the in the economic and social life of the Medina of Tunis, the 'FEMMEDINA Inclusive City Programme' contributed to more gender-responsive public spaces in the Medina. The project resulted in multiple policy recommendations and seven small-scale public space interventions that promote women's economic, cultural and social participation in the Medina and empowers them to engage as equals in the public space.
