The decals? ... "Go faster stripes", is what we called those in 1960's
I wouldn't be shocked if all these were sold before they even arrived to dealerships
Nice review always watch every video and I'm interested in every car manufacturer that make new engines and cars. My criticism with this car is that it sounds strained from acceleration, i can't hear the super charger and sounds like a 1.2 engine. The gear shifting sounds like it's sliping too as if it was designed like that.

Wish they made that for North America and not in limited numbers...it's a cool looking Yaris and I would buy it but I hate the decals

The much desired red on while Belgian licence plates. My Holland friend wanted this kind of licence plate so he registered his car on his grandma address in Belgium. The Dutch black on white licence plates are awe full.

Ttz die auto staat op naam van zijn grootmoeder en s'avonds staat ie in een garage in Venlo.
Zeproo Grensgebied gaat wellicht wel. Ik heb een keer met de auto van mijn (Belgische) vriendin gereden en werd aangehouden. Ik kwam weg met een waarschuwing, maar de officiele boete is niet leuk.
Volgens mijn vriend is dit zeer gemakkelijk te omzeilen. Zijn grootmoeder heeft een zaak en hij is ingescheven als onbezoldigd bestuurder met firmawagen op naam van de zaak. En dit heeft ie allemaal gedaan voor die Belgische nummerplaat te hebben pffff
Lose the graphics, acquire Volk TE-37's + Recaro Pole Positions and this wouldn't be bad. Would also be a $40k Yaris at that point.....nm, hard pass.
40000euros , in usa it would cost $20000usd no.taxes on mrsp.
its a cool little car i will admit, but ~$40k is too much. this is golf r territory, which is far superior from every angle. it needs to be mid-high $20k for it be considered when comparing the other offerings, and quite serious offerings i might add .. subaru wrx sti, $36k, golf r, $40k, and then there's some nice stuff from renault, the clio and megane, both warm hatches, and of course honda's potent civic type r. the audi s3 is what would do it for me. still plenty of firepower, but nicely finished inside.

The Forte 5 from KIA in the SX trim, has a turbo powered engine with 210hp. More trunk space and 4 doors, so no egress problems. All of these cars remind me of the 1960's Morris Mini in updated form. The KIA cars are Nuremburg tested too. It seems to be a big trend, especially in the publicity for when selling cars? Yaris ... hmm okay. People on a budget, could do much worse ... for sure!
U should bring the rally champion back for a more interesting and better performing car, like the Gazoo Racing Corolla if it's ever made.

Great little car! And pretty fast and hardcore as well. I got my hands on one (no.117/400)! The supercharger is really something different, immediate boost until the red line. People complaining here are really missing out on something great! Glad I don't. :-)

Well, next to Mazda I've been a Toyota fan for quite some years now and actually don't have any affinity with European car makers. Next to that I'm really into eccentric cars you don't see on every street corner. When I found out the Yaris was going to be made in this sporty version, I just had to have it. :-) It's really something new, combined with a nice oldschool atmosphere around it. I also like the fact it's an uncompromised ride, without the "playstation" feel many other hothatches tend to have these days. Just hit the "start engine" button and go, without having to select a certain drivemode. Just the way I like my cars!

As I said, it's something new combined with a very nice oldschool feeling, you may call the "start engine button" something new. :-)
Price is honestly unacceptable, plus without Gazoo racing stickers the car just looks too stock basic. Would have been nice to see Toyota/Gazoo slightly widen the wheel arches to differentiate the car and put some alcantara or any good micro-fiber to help liven-up the interior at least.
sounds like someone fixed a can at the end of the exhaust ^^
Have you ever heard an older Porsche or BMW? Sounds quite mechanical and oldschool.

Armin K What about road test cars? I saw a car in a black and white camo print with a Belgian license plate a few weeks ago. There was no brand logo but it looked Asian to me.
I believe Toyota Europe's HQ is in Belgium, so it's possible. I think I saw some photographs of Toyota camouflaged cars with Belgian plates. Although I think most test cars are registered on German temporary plates which have +- the same color combination as Belgian regular plates.
It's a quick small car BUT that's it. It's 0.3 secs to 60 than my Audi S3. It has a top speed of only 103 compared to my S3 at 155 mph. It's a frog that's had a straw pushed up its ass and air blown up it. Take the straw out and it shoots off but eventually it gets boring.
The engine looks likes a 2zr...its a 1.8L. I have that engine in my axio, N.A though

True, but the price & performance & quality ratio is bad. Here this car is 42 000€, so it's more expensive that C-segment "GTI" cars.

If I had to decide between a GTI and this one for a fun car and cabin space wasn't a factor I'd rather get the Yaris tbh.

Morons on here mentioning usa prices of golf r and wrx sti without taxes . In Europe taxes are much higher on cars . Golf r is 46000 euros , wrx sti 45000 euros . If Yaris sold in usa it would cost $21000usd without taxes

I really don't know why they don't put seats with position memory on driver's side as well so that it can slide back to preset position?...however, you should be able to get in the back by sliding the passenger seat all the way forward by raising the appropriate knob and it should return to preset...as it may be, it is meant for the back seat passengers to enter/exit via passenger's side, not driver's side...also, three door is appropriate for a sporty hatch, I don't think teh choice should be an object of criticism.
3 doors... I could live with that, just. Rear windows don't open at all.... really ? Off to Subaru then.
