The scary thing man is I'm watching you camp next to that water. And I am saying now don't do it. It's too fast, and the ice is melting for the ferry. Thus means water will rise if it rained you were screwed. 16:16 in I see I was right. My gut feeling it was not going to be good. So I grab my phone to comments, and here in the usa we just had a dam break as I am going to comment on this video super weird now. Never sleep next to the water man without looking at what's happening upstream. North. Is it raining? Is it going to rain. Maybe runoff or a really hot day and a really warm night with snow in the mountains. Scary sheet, man. I was thinking the search for 2 yiutubers is ongoing as they tried to camp next to water in a deep thaw or northern rainfall. And was washed away maybe while they slept. I seen this in my head. And was like I better comment for some dam reason. Maybe not this time. But another time it will help you. Never trust water my friend no matter how nice she looks or feels. She is dangerous and deadly when she is moving or even sitting still. None truck also I like this one. Have fun
I am writing this comment in the middle of the night from a hospital bed, too sick to sleep, and your video has cheered the living you-know-what out of me. I appreciate you guys. Great vid, gorgeous footage. Inspiring.
Brad, if you wanted to go to The Arctic Circle it would have been a lot easier to go Utah there are hundreds of Arctic Circles there. Lol Awesome vid guys!
Don't wait to do a bucket adventure. I've learned the hard way that life and health can turn on a dime, causing previous plans to become impossible. If you are able to do it, do it now!
no amount of Nat Geo / Discovery documentaries could ever do justice to the raw, pristine and undisturbed natural beauty of the places you covered...everything was perfect from the drone feeds to the panoramic shots to the background music and the list goes on......this is stellar execution and I am very happy for you that you were able to make this happen, Shaun...cheers!!
Amazing my man. Im so stoked to do this next year. This is probably the best series on RUclips about this trip. Seeing your progression over the years, fantastic filming!!
“How much nothing there is in every direction.” Beautiful phrase. I guided scenic tours in southern Yukon for nine summers and never was able to capture the empty beauty in such poetic terms. And once again, I have to praise your musical sound track. No other you tuber I follow comes close to matching audio to video like you do. ( don’t tell Brad I said that😂)
Man this is something most people will never get to do and it’s so cool that you guys are doing it. Thank you Shaun (and Brad) for sharing this amazing adventure with us. Scenery is so cool. Stuff I never imagined was even up that far north. Keep up the good work! Btw the music is this video was really good😂
The absolute beauty that Almighty God created!! Really enjoy this channel I spend most of my time on the deep south roads as a delivery driver I grew up in northern Michigan Man would I love to do this someday!!
Shawn, you brought back some great memories. when I worked in the IT industry, we landed at Tuktoyaktuk James Gruben Airport and then flew on to Ellesmere Island NU, I never got to experience what you did as we were flying in but the scenery in that park of the world, is nothing short of spectacular.
In 1999 I retired the last day of July, Friday. On Monday we left in our F250 and small cab over camper for Alaska. Took the northern route out of Dawson Creek crossing the Yukon River into Chicken, Alaska. We spent 2 months + driving to Deadhorse, then south to Homer and circling around Alaska finally ferrying from Haines to Skagway. Drove the Casiar Highway to Hyderabad, and finally back home to Colorado. AWESOME trip! I highly recommend it as a great adventure! I’m enjoying following yours. At 77, it’s not likely I will have another like it. Thanks for sharing yours and allowing me to experience it vicariously through you!
My dad and I traveled to Tuk via motorcycle last fall. This is by far the best video / footage I have ever seen of this epic journey other than being in there in person. Thanks for sharing!!
Shaun I just wanna say Thank you for taking us along on all your amazing journeys. Since discovering your channel a little over a year ago it has completely changed my life for the better and made me realize that I need to get out and actually enjoy my life while I still have it.
The one time I was out in the ocean, with no land in sight, I felt so small out in the huge ocean. I feel like this trip, with no civilization anywhere in sight, would have a similar feeling. EPIC TRIP, CONGRATS TO YOU BOTH!
Fantastic drive! In Finland, Sweden and Norway the artic circle is much closer to major cities and towns, because those countries are so far north. 24x7 sunlight above the arctic circle is a real experience this time of the year.
Thank you for taking us along! You and Brad make a good team. I am glad you did dip your toes in the ocean. I couldn't imagine you not after traveling all that way. Your drone footage is awesome as normal! Thanks again!
I live 16 kilometers from the start of the Dempster Highway. Thank you for showing me my backyard so well! Much of the Dempster Highway goes through Gwitch'ln lands, which means people of the Caribou. Caribou, which you called reindeer, are still hugely important to those people. And the pingo Is a hill made from up thrust ice. Tuk has more than anywhere else in the world.
When we did the Dempster for the first time I spent a lot of prep time in the Northwest Territories info building in Dawson. The lady running the show was the sister of the Northwest Territories tourism minister so she had loads of tales to tell. One of which was less than 2% of the rubber tire traffic into Dawson did the Dempster. Most were on to Top of the World and Tok. So you two have done something that very few others have. It changed me as a human, I hope you had a similar epiphany.
Congratulations to you and Brad! On making it to the Arctic Ocean. It was an Enjoyable video to watch. Be safe Good luck, I' On getting back home to your families. May God be with you both on the journey back home! Robert Lopez from Sacramento, California.
Did this in early September 2022, from NE Alberta. One of the best trips I have ever done. Watching your trip in early spring makes me want to do the trip all over again. Look forward to your next adventure.
Awesome video as always Shaun and Brad. This has been an epic adventure to the Arctic Ocean it crazy to think that 10 years ago it wasn’t even possible to drive to Tuktoyaktuk you had to fly there. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s adventures.
Last week I was in Tuktoyuktuk with my son driving my Jeep LJ. The trip has been on my bucket list for ten years since my trip with my dad. Like you, I kept saying "oh wow" & took pictures. Now I'm looking at my pictures and realized I still didn't take enough. I got hours of video and still didn't scratch the itch. I need to go back again, but next time will be on my KLR & son riding his own bike as well
What an incredible experience you and Brad had! You are both so good at your craft that it really feels like we are on the journey with you. I hope that you and Brad get to go on another bucket list trip together next year. What a great team. Thanks for sharing this!
Fantastic video. Very good editing and the drone shots were superb. I drove this 7 years ago, and wind stopped the ferry at Ft McPherson for days when we got there. We eventually turned around and did not make it to Inuvik or Tuktoyuktuk. I did have the pleasure of driving past the section of the highway near the Yukon/NWT border that I helped build about 50 years ago. We tore a gash in the sidewall of a truck tire within an hour, and did the rest of the trip hauling a 38 ft 5th wheel with no truck spare.
What’s fantastic video!!! Well done! It is better than most professional documentaries! Oh and the AI songs had me and my wife dying laughing they were so well placed! Very clever. Thanks a million Shaun and Brad !
Shawn and Brad, enjoyed every moment of your trip to the Artic Circle, thank you both very much, God bless, and all the best to both of you, from Pakistan. UAE❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💋💋💋💋💋💋
Wow guys what an amazing trip!!! Well done for completing it and bringing us along for the ride, thats one for the story books and your grandchildren, looking forward to your next trip, thanks a lot.
That is so exciting guys. Job well done. I'd like to go but the wife says no... This must be what the early explorers experienced and felt. You have travelled to the end of the earth, but now you have to come all the way back to tell the people at home what it was like. I doubt if they will understand but at least they can get a taste with your videos.
Seldom are trips about the destination for me, but rather the journey to get there. That sir may be one of few exceptions to that, and may have changed my future travel plans. Thanks for that and all of your amazing videos.
What an amazing trip, adventure & memories for you & Brad. Absolutely loved following this trip and others you've shared. I felt like I was there with you guys and so appreciate you sharing this awesome trip. The videography....drone pictures absolutely amazing!
Great video series, thank you. If you want to see reindeer, you should go over to Scandinavia and up to Nordkapp. Lapland is incredible, there is so many reindeer that you just are overseeing them and trying to not hit them on the roads. I was lucky enough to be paid to be driving up there for three 3 1/2 week tours between Oslo and Nordkapp, return. Look forward to seeing more of Canada in the future .
I have watched a few videos of people driving to the Artic Ocean through Alaska. This drive looks much better and you can actually drive all the way to the Artic. Great video Thanks for the ride along
O'K, I just finished Brad's series on this a few days ago and really enjoyed it. I really didn't think I was going to see anything different in yours and boy am I pleasantly surprised. I'm only 11 minutes in and congrats on capturing that beauty in a whole different light. Really nice cinematography . I'll be sure to watch the rest. cheers
This looks like a great adventure! You guys did some epic stuff!! Like many people on here, this is a dream trip! I am building up a Ram 2500 gasser now and I cant wait to see what else you do with your Ram!

I am writing this comment in the middle of the night from a hospital bed, too sick to sleep, and your video has cheered the living you-know-what out of me. I appreciate you guys. Great vid, gorgeous footage. Inspiring.
Get well soon buddy!
Get well soon.
Hope you're better by now. Best wishes from Germany!
Can’t wait for Bucket Trip #2!
You two should head to the tip of Patagonia... hit the southern tip of the Americas now! That would be most epic!
Brad, if you wanted to go to The Arctic Circle it would have been a lot easier to go Utah there are hundreds of Arctic Circles there. Lol Awesome vid guys!
The ferry music is awesome! haha love the video
I was thinking the same thing, “I’m on the ferry” 🤘
AI generated music

I was thinking the same thing. Rivals the National Geographic documentaries.
TrailRecon has great content,I’m a fan. But, your channel has a “movie” like feel that I enjoy more. Thanks guys
Shawn and Brad, enjoyed every moment of your trip to the Artic Circle, thank you both very much, God bless, all the best to both of you, from Trinidad

My wife stood in the exact places you guys did while travel nursing in the North. Great videos. Keep em coming. My new favorite channel on YT.
That is so cool! Glad you are enjoying the content.
It is an epic overlanding. I did it alone in August 2022, all the way from Halton hills, ON. Will do it again next year

Best video of the series yet. Spectacular. Beautifully shot.
I have seen astounding views by way of your videos.. but this by far is at the top of my list as my absolute favorite.. I am in awe!!
According to your soundtrack i was waiting for a Hobbit to jump out and slay a dragon. Then i realized it was just 2 dudes in 4x4s in the arctic.

Ferry Music was dope.
"I didn't know they had reindeer in Alaska" They're, locally, known as Caribou.
Epic, drone way points and follow mode exceptional, incredible, this scenery gorgeous...with a flair of danger at every turn...
