Your video has been healing for me. I just recently lost my 95 year old mom. She had dementia and always wanted to know where her purse was. She too thought she was broke. She kept us up all night most nights. But, I miss it all. It was an honor to take care of her.
Dan's brother, Mark, has their father 3-4 days a week and rotates with Dan so that both of them have a break. Dan and Mark are retired. The other kids are either still working full time and raising a family (like Josh, the youngest) or don't live close by and have their own physical/medical challenges.
I never get tired of Dan, the way he speaks to his Dad, repeating things and being patient with him, May someone watch over you the same way when your time comes. You surely love your Dad❤
Exactly it’s important for everyone to care for their parents infront of their own kids Because anyone can go through geriatric old age Although I pray for Dan and all of us that Allah Protect us from such condition and always keep us healthy to the point our souls depart Ameen
Dan deserves a free run. Hope in the case of dementia, he gets his mum's genes. But he is a lovely son. Pity Grandpa couldn't have known how wonderful he would be. He does have a lovely father, tho. It is sad that so many people envy him his dad, even in this sadness. It would be lovely to have such a decent, gentle, kindly man to think of as your father.

I can’t believe Dad can still run, he sure is agile for an old guy! His “I’m always happy to be with family” is touching, that’s all he cares about, always the best Dad!
Why did they all run off and leave him to fend for himself? He could have fallen and gotten seriously hurt. Dan walks far in front of him, looking into the camera, and hollering back at him without turning around so he can hear. SMH I always stayed right alongside my mom and kept her stable on her feet. I talked directly to her, face to face. I miss her so much. 😢
To have sons in their 50s & 60s and still have their dad and taking care of him is absolutely incredible & beautiful. You all are handsome and resemble eachother. It doesn't get any better. Great content.❤

I think Dan, Danielle, Mark and Dave are terrific with their dad. I would like to have seen them walk with their dad, especially when he had to walk down that curb but, they can’t be perfect every day!! Dad has a fabulous situation!! He is truly a blessed father!!

Dave walks with the same arm movements as your dad.....wow, that's a genetic situation if I ever saw it and looks and sounds like him as well. That's pretty awesome when a gentleman 91 can walk and have lunch out with three of his sons. Today our AARP Magazine came and in it was the article about you Dan, and your dad. It was cool seeing the write up. Hats off to you and Danielle as well as Mark and I am sure more ppl are inviting their loved ones in when they need it most at this time of life. Not an easy job is caring 24 x 7 but you will always be thankful and grateful to have been able to do so. God bless you all.

Guys please, get use to your father's fragility and learn to go at his pace, he needs your support, he needs to know that someone is there for him. Leaving him behind, walking in an unknown and open space all by himself is not a good idea, they tend to get confused and also fall easily. Thank you for sharing with all of us, that private moment with your dad.
That's presumptuous. Not all families are touchy feely. You don't really know what they are like. I'm not sure I saw Dan hugging either. My family does not hug. It's not what we do. That can also be cultural. Not that I'm saying it is for this family.

Dan said in an interview Mark was the first one took dad in and took care of him for six month alone. Then Dan and Danielle stepped in taking care of dad half the time. No wonder dad always worries about Mark.

I looked up your brother Dr Dave, and he had a lot of good reviews from his patients. They said he was kind and really listened to the patients concerns. That's awesome. Wish he was here in San Diego.
Love this family! They are a great example as to how to care for a person with dementia. They are very tolerant, patient and keep him active and mentally stimulated. He is very blessed to have sons willing to care for him in their homes. Not all elderly people are this fortunate. He is one of the lucky ones. 😊
Yes it is. I think those people who don't participate in a parents care feel unsettled on the issue for life. They think about what they could and should have done.
All make sure not to leave him behind anymore please. He could had fell at that curb. I know you all do all the best. That just scared me a second there. When Dave just walked away not helping him down that step at the curb. I love all you. God bless. My maw maw is 88 and had dementia as well.

What a blessing that your Dad can walk so well. My Dad is 93 and can no longer walk long distances or get out of the truck like that. What a blessing!! My Dad I think is in the beginning of some memory loss. Not bad yet ... but signs. I love Dan ... I love this family ... and Ed is AMAZING. What a blessing this family is to all of us.

In all fun, grandpa likes Mark better. 😜 Most times, grandpa seems to have a little bit of a hard time leaving Mark.

Guys please, get use to your father's fragility and learn to go at his pace, he needs your support, he needs to know that someone is there for him. Leaving him behind, walking in an unknown and open space all by himself is not a good idea, they tend to get confused and also fall easily. Thank you for sharing with all of us, that private moment with your dad.

That's presumptuous. Not all families are touchy feely. You don't really know what they are like. I'm not sure I saw Dan hugging either. My family does not hug. It's not what we do. That can also be cultural. Not that I'm saying it is for this family.

Love this family! They are a great example as to how to care for a person with dementia. They are very tolerant, patient and keep him active and mentally stimulated. He is very blessed to have sons willing to care for him in their homes. Not all elderly people are this fortunate. He is one of the lucky ones. 😊

What a blessing that your Dad can walk so well. My Dad is 93 and can no longer walk long distances or get out of the truck like that. What a blessing!! My Dad I think is in the beginning of some memory loss. Not bad yet ... but signs. I love Dan ... I love this family ... and Ed is AMAZING. What a blessing this family is to all of us.
