    Hey Kyle, thanks for creating these amazing tutorials.
    I'm trying to build a software listing website using GP Premium and GB Free version. I've created categories loop templates.
    However, I'm trying to figure out how to display the elements on the homepage.
    Under display rules, I've set the locations to - front page, all archives, tools category archive. Plugins I'm using - ACF and Filter Everything.
    Thanks again for guiding us :)

    • @TheAdminBar
      @TheAdminBar  2 года назад +1

      Perfect timing (almost! 😅). Yeah, this is going to make it sooooo much easier. And being able to target different archives - so good!
      There's just soooo much legacy built into GP.... But GB keeps coming up with better ways. Making the two co-exist is a tough challenge... But I think their focus right now is on reconciling those things.

    Hi Kyle, thanks for sharing vaulable information on building website for beginners like me. I am facing couple of issues while creating post loop at the bottom section of my post/page section. I am using basic version of Generate blocks and I wish to show all the posts, except the parent post, in the query loop. Do you have nay video on this? Kindly share the link. Highly appreciable.
    Secondly, I want to add slider to my post loops as well. Is there any simple CSS code for adding a slider to my post loops? Thanks

    One question...
    Is it possible to align the buttons vertically? In this video, the button of the post on the right side is higher than the buttons of the other posts. It would be nice if the buttons could be aligned independent of the size of the excerpt.
    Thank you in advance!

    • @TheAdminBar
      @TheAdminBar  2 года назад

      Yeah, this is a little trickier, but doable. In the current version of GB, you'll have to do this with CSS. I've wrote up a guide on how to do it: generatetweaks.ogal.dev/consistent-cards/
      in the future version of GB, you'll have all the flexbox controls to do this right in the UI

    This is awesome! Thank you for such speedy update. However, I'm struggling with how to set those up in WP, should I set those up using Posts/Page, or can I set those content up using Custom Post Type? Also do I need to set up a Page just to server as a "holder" for the template loop? I would appreciate alot if a more complete setup can be revealed to rookie like myself 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

    • @TheAdminBar
      @TheAdminBar  2 года назад

      I think this mostly centers around the "archive" pages, which are automatically created for things like your tags and categories (where it shows a list of all your posts). So you don't need to create a page or post for it.
      No "holder" for anything - that's essentially what this Block Element does.
      I know it's hard to grasp at first, but it will click, I promise!

      hahahah, right?!? Yes, I've sturggled before too. All of it was doable before, but you had to go back and forth in the customizer to set some of the things (like the number of columns, gap, etc). This is much, much easier.

    I'm guessing this won't work on WooCommerce Product loops? If GP could just add some more GP magic to the WooCommerce side of things it would make the theme and their blocks unbeatable.
