Hey bro, saw many videos on this issue, as I wasn't able to enable UEFI mode after clean installing windows 10 on my MSI laptop. So far you have shown the most simplest way. Which actually a normal person can understand.

Turn off csm (legacy boot option) is the key, or some systems will not boot in uefi, and probably install the windows in mbr mode, then u cant boot it using an nvme, cause nvme only boots in uefi and uefi only works with gpt partition mode, so, just turn off csm (legacy boot mode) while installing the windows, and remember to set the boot driver option to uefi
I followed this guide and the first phase of installation was fine but after rebooting it gets stucked on getting devices ready. The screen freezes and no lighting on the hdd led
I'm getting a windows logo below tht dotted circle ..and below that some hill like lines..and it's taking too long to load..its going on rotating that white dotted circle.
It's okay now, didn't realised that it was because of my drivers, after I installed all the drivers my pc worked fine and booted a bit faster than my previous legacy mode.

I had to reinstall Windows 10 on a 2014 Dell laptop, it came from factory with windows installed in UEFI mode, the problem is it won't enter boot menu using F12 or setup using F2, but after switching to legacy mode, F2 and F12 started working again... is that behavior normal? thanks.
After complete installation % progress, I'm getting this error "windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase of installation, reinstall Windows." But same problem in reinstallation.

I have created bootable usb flash drive using rufus ( GPT ) when i set the boot to UEFI mode and choose usb drive it shows an error ( operating system loader has no signature. Incompatible with secure boot all bootable devices failed secure boot verification. ( windows 10 64bit )
Do you unplug the USB after the first restart? I kept it in last time and it went into new installation cycle... so if I remove the USB after first restart, it should boot into HDD itself and finish the installation/first launch?
My laptop doesnt have options to change the boot from Legacy to UEFI is it because its too old? No, D630 was release in 2007 and doesn't support UEFI. Best option is to reset the BIOS setting to default. If it supports UEFI it will change the boot mode to UEFI. The only major benefit of UEFI is it supports disks larger than 2 TB.

Thanks for watching the video. What is your sys spec? installing 32 bit will not make any difference. 32 bit Windows can be installed in CSM/Legacy BIOS mode. Consider upgrading your system.

thanks for the tutorial. i see you deleted the partitions in both drive 0 and drive 1. why did you delete the partition on drive 1, and is that mandatory to change drive 1 in order to install windows 10 in uefi mode on drive 0?
Thanks for watching. No you don't need to delete the partitions of disk 1, and not even need to delete any partition on disk 0 if it is already GPT partition style.
