I love those shoes! By far the best RTW English shoemaker.

These shoes are ugly. J.M. Weston shoes are better.

Anthony M both are good, soles are softer on these and they wear better

what do you mean by wear better? J.M. Weston shoes take longer to break in, but this is expected with quality shoes (and given their durable leather soles). Anyways, I simply find these shoes unattractive. Sorry. I know that's personal taste, but I've never really been into British styling. In fact, J.M. Weston has some shoes that are modeled after British styling and I don't like those either. The Flore collection one cut Weston's you bought are nice shoes. I have them in Blue. However, I prefer the Claridge collection one cut Weston's. Mostly because I find them more comfortable. I also highly recommend the single monk strap from the Flore Collection. I have them in burgundy with the patina finish. They have aged nicely.

Good to know, Mine are still abit uncomfortable after 6-7 wears but I do enjoy them.
      I'll check them out!

What in particular do you find ugly about them? The style or last shape? The finishing? Given that you're talking about a high end luxury shoe it would be helpful to be more descriptive. Are JM Weston 'higher quality' than EG? I imagine that as far as RTW shoes go they are in a similar quality bracket.

@@growingmelancholy8374 Break in has nothing to do with quality and more to do with using thicker or stiffer leather and tighter welting process. This is true about cheaper leather dress shoes like Meermin who uses lower quality leather and are less selective about their clicking process.
