Sriracha is fermented Chili sauce, and the sugar is used to feed the fermentation. Once the culture eats all the sugar, it's nutritionally absent despite being an ingredient in the sauce.
It’s not absent, it’s around half a carb per serving which the FDA allows to be listed as zero, and the serving sizes are set small in order to keep the zero carb label

I've been watching Wheezy for years... He seems so much happier now than he was in the early days. Maybe it's because there are fewer eagles there, or maybe because he finally got away from Ty the Regular Guy. My guess is less explosions on Wednesday mean that there is less anxiety in his life. Definitely not because of Chyna and how adorable they are together. Probably other reasons entirely.
Lol Love your commentary . Blessings The holidays for me were a sugar crash. The leftover rum balls helpful on the stressed days. Back to exercising with weights and 1-2 miles on the treadmill. Feeling better.

I watched your previous videos and seeing it being put all together is awesome. I got off social media in 2019, stopped drinking in 2020 and sugar last week. Sugar is the hardest to remove so I completely get it. Good stuff.
I’m about finished with Sober October and not sure I’ll drink again anytime soon even after I finish. Social Media though, I’ve been clean from Facebook, IG, Snapchat, Twitter, etc... for nearly 3 years now and would never go back.
"why does this happen" - it has 0 grams of sugar because the serving size is fairly small and they are allowed to round down. it's pretty much 100% of all sauces, especially hot sauces because some people think a reasonable serving size is less than a half cup. weirdos.
7 months no alcohol, no weed..my caffeine intake has increased though. My desire to drink has diminished tremendously. I'm going a full year, we will see at the year point if I'll start drinking again. Do I celebrate not drinking for a year with drinking?🤔

Very inspiring guys! Thank you so much. It reminds me of the time I watched "into the wild" and immediately decided to make some huge changes. Honestly it's time to do it again. Here goes.
Love this! I quit Facebook in March 2020. Didnt need that in my life as we went into lockdown. Haven't missed it at all. Deleted twitter app from phone in Feb. Reinstalled it 2 weeks ago, deleted it again 2 days ago. The one thing that I do like about twitter is reaching out for support from companies. Often the best avenue. Instagram remains the only social media I check, and that's rare. Booze went in August last year. Had some cheat days. Really miss IPA's, Stouts, Lagers. Hell I miss beer. Walking into a pub on any day and having a few pints. It really is one of my pleasures. Also miss whisk(e)y, Added sugar is proving more difficult. Sauces, condiments, breakfast foods. And then you are starving and drive past fast food. But small changes.. down 5kg since Christmas, it is not rapid loss. I have done that before and it just comes back and some. This time I am hoping my changes are more sustainable and long term.
I got off sugar by using the Keto diet . I had arthritis all through my body and it went a way . My mental clarity is way better and overall mood . Doing this got me reading a lot on the effects of sugar. I’m not going back .
My husband and I have had the same experience with quitting sugar and alcohol this year. After a few weeks I always feel MUCH better, I sleep and exercise more and better and I read more. I think any 2-4 week “give it up” challenge is a great thing. Also, as you said, sometimes it takes a couple of rounds for you to feel any lasting benefits. Great video, thanks!
Nice substitutes that help with your sugar-free and alcohol free habit and still give you that kick you might be looking for: fruity-flavored seltzer waters. Most grocery stores these days I feel like have their own, generic brands now too. Some Friday nights I just want to turn on tv and drink something fizzy, but realize I don’t really need the alcohol (plus it’s healthier obviously). I just want to sip something that feels like a treat lol! I like Kroger’s simple truth version!
Craig! Have you heard of the "Don't Break The Chain" challenge? It's a psychological technique that aids in forming new habits. Basically, you get a calendar and make a big "X" after each day you do/don't do the thing you've been trying to do more/less of. Seeing each X one after the other creates a chain (visual metaphor!!) so each day gives you a bit more motivation to continue, as well as extra accountability by making you keep track. I find it super helpful and I think you and Chyna would dig it. Try incorporating it into your next challenge video and see if it changes things! I love this series btw, it helps keep me in a healthy headspace of wanting to improve and making thoughtful choices (as opposed to eating a ton of mac and cheese all the time). Much love dude!
I love the idea of this, but every time I end up with all or nothing fatalist thoughts as soon as I miss an x. I've always been more successful with just trying to implement the habit paired with another task.
@@thenopedetective I get what you mean, but the technique also helps to lessen the impact of "failing" the challenge over time! The first missed X definitely hurts, but if you keep at it and build up more X's, the average beats the outliers. For example, say you do this for three months but you feel bad that you had seven missed X's. When you're living day-to-day, it's easy to feel the weight of a missed X because you're fixated on that one inconsistency in the moment. But if you take a step back and look at the three months as a whole, those seven sporadic missed X's pale in comparison to the 80+ marked X's. In other words, it teaches you to value consistency over the infrequent slip-up. Everyone veers off track once in a while, but this technique helps you get back on faster. Without the visual aid of the X's, we tend to only remember the times we messed up, rather than all the times we were successful. Obviously if you've found something that works for you, keep doing that! I don't think the chain technique is the singular answer, but I do think it can help correct a common issue in the way many of us think when trying new things.
I did a don’t break the chain with TV for 19 years! it was almost impossible to allow myself to be in a room with a TV after a streak this long. I willingly broke this when I married and my wife loves to knit and watch TV in the evening, and she is more important than my streak. I never missed it, and some days I’m a little sad that I spend so much time with the tv on, even though I do other work and projects during....
@@OriginalSketch6494 I have ADHD which often skews my thinking all or nothing (common due to executive functioning issues and low dopamine) and leads to forget to track. I've done the break the chain for months, it still feels very negative when the chain is broken and has been less successful (and enjoyable) than other methods. Though all the xs are good to see, I understand why it should work, but methods which are less intensely tracked lead to more long term success for me :)
@@thenopedetectiveThe best thing you can do for yourself is listen to and get to know your mind and body in a way that allows you to recognize how you react to things regardless of how a stranger on the internet says you "should" react. Thanks for the thoughtful comment and the clarification. You do you and good luck!
When you guys were talking about being full and yet still hungry, it made me think about deficiencies. Sometimes we feel hungry or develop cravings for sweets/fatty food etc. because our body needs more nutrients. It just is really bad at communicating which nutrients it needs.... Maybe you should do a video on cravings! There are some bizaro ones out there...
You guys are soooo inspiring! WHY NOT quit all the crap in one's life??? Thanks to your ongoing motivation, I've quit alcohol and will be cutting WAY back on social media. I'm now spending more time doing things I feel are important. For myself, my community, and the planet. Thank you!!
If you cut out sugar (I've generally done this, not super strict) the outcome is the hunger. Best replaced by fat (from meat, eggs etc.). So I ended up on a high protein high fat diet that was supposedly really bad for you. Did my yearly health check. HDL was great (in the ideal range) and LDL was low (in the ideal range). So you might want to consider that.

I'm always baffled by the amounts of alcohol people drink... wow, so you are not drinking _every day_ anymore? Is that an achievement or is that the first step to normality?
I drink beer everyday, but that’s only because the crackdown on the opioid epidemic is very cruel... The government is treating legitimate chronic pain patients like drug abusers or law breakers, applying a one size fits all maximum amount of medicine patients can be prescribed by doctors (taking agency away from the physicians too, with the gov’t threatening them with terminating their license). So with my severe chronic pain problem not getting enough medicine to help it now, I have had to resort to drinking everyday to subsidize the medicine reduction, to help maintain some of my sanity. I’ve tried every other thing out there to try to treat my issue (physical therapy, CBD oil, nerve blocking shots, devices that are supposed to interrupt pain signals, etc etc) - no luck with any of it. The only thing that helps kill a good chunk of my pain temporarily is opioid medicine/alcohol.
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 Bruh, I feel that, I've started smoking again which is bad for my condition just because it helps with the pain and the docs won't give me the meds I need

I can't put into words how much I love you guys! I get into a slump very easily and sometimes (like today) it just takes one of your videos appearing in my feed to make me feel a bit more positive and get me to do the little things I have been putting off and procrastinating by watching youtube. There's just something very refreshing about you two. Thank you for your inspiration, keep on improving ♡
@@sweetestpotato4392 I would say that makes it accaptable though.

You have been a part of my life for so long & although we haven't met, I feel like I know you like a good friend, so I have to say this: I'm proud of you, dude. You are sticking with some hard choices & inspiring me to keep doing the same, for sure. It's pretty strange to care so much about someone you don't know but honestly, it's also pretty cool.
Looking back on the journey-- from clones & an alligator pit to a family & beneficial life decisions-- crazy how life changes & I am so glad to see how happy you are. You three deserve every bit of happiness there is. Thanks for nine years of memories 💜
Honestly I did this (sans the sugar, I already don't eat a ton of that) but it was a GREAT month. Still don't do social media, my anxiety is way down and I feel overall better and more energized.
I see you still do RUclips also. Good job human.

Your wife's face looked totally different after getting thru the sugar detox! She was more awake, fresher looking in her beautiful face and she looked so amazing off the sugar! I saw her face lite up!!! Unbelievable that the sugar was the biggest addiction and that it's in everything! This was quite a well made insightful vid truly showing the effects of sugar! I am giving up biscuits! The withdrawals and cravings were so interesting. You both had more energy and slept more and the fact that u had a desire2exercise - wow! I'm showing this vid to my boyfriend as he's on a health kick tho he doesn't really eat much sugar he may find cutting it out actually makes him want2exercise! U know I have seen these 2 correlate in him b4. When he goes on a diet he exercises more! So I will try the sugar detox as i have no desire2exercise! I'll let u know in a few weeks as i am majorly addicted to biscuits especially!!! I'm in Ireland so i think u call them cookies!!!

I found your channel a week or so ago and I can't believe it took me that long. Your videos are so down to earth and well produced, and your sense of humor is incredible. Thank you for sharing your life with us!
“Let’s swing now as if this is what we do all day long after camera goes off.” Haha! In one scene captured the essence of delusions social media could cause.

I stopped drinking to slow the quarantine weight gain and I wanna die but it could be because I need alcohol to survive quarantine 😂😂😂
I love how her personality compliment yours mate. Wonderful lady 👌🏾❤️
I got off sugar by using the Keto diet . I had arthritis all through my body and it went a way . My mental clarity is way better and overall mood . Doing this got me reading a lot on the effects of sugar. I’m not going back .
Eating more protein, small amounts frequently, (yes, boiled eggs) while you're getting off sugar helps a lot to stabilise hunger/cravings.
I stopped going on FB and Tweeter. I read 6 books and the entire New Testament of the Bible.
Wow! That’s fantastic! Jesus is awesome and He is coming soon! Be blessed!
Awesome!
Gosh i hope we all find someone so supportive and understanding for us, and also work towards becoming that for others.

They really are great for people who like fizzy things! No calories, no sugar 💯
Love it!! Way to go!! Also you are evolving ascension wise... so your vibration doesn’t align with sugar alcohols and so on!! Keep up the goodness!

When you guys were talking about being full and yet still hungry, it made me think about deficiencies. Sometimes we feel hungry or develop cravings for sweets/fatty food etc. because our body needs more nutrients. It just is really bad at communicating which nutrients it needs....
