- Embark on an expedition to Rotten Vale, you need to have Odoragon spawned in the area or grimalkynes won't appear(if they still don't appear try talking to lynian researcher, farm some mats in different areas and come back in around 5-10 minutes ). You need to have raw meet in inventory.
This is how it worked for me load in to the second camp quickly head down and wait till the odogaron passes trail him and collect tracks to keep his location known then go up the slop where the fishing hole is and wait there till the odogaron comes back with a corpes in its mouth and drags it back to the den after that when he leaves the den head down and the cat should appear then track the cat. Raw meat is also needed for this. This worked 6\10 times for me cause sometimes the odogaron would get into a fight

I just went to odogaron's lair as soon as I loaded in and the cat was there
So in case people get really confused in why its not appearing atall. You will need to capture the Odogaron BUT at its final resting place as i did ( not sure if you can capture him anywhere) but as you capture him the Grimalkyne should appear and then the rest is in the video! Thanks for the vid again.
Xanohana you actualy dont need to capture him just make sure an odogaron is in the area and the researcher should be in the area in fact u dont need to do any fighting at all talk to the researcher he says he will wait then just stay in a nearby area until the odogaron comes into area 13 and then boom ur in the money
took 3 times for me to load the expedition and find the researcher. so its just random i guess.

Is that accessible when i get to the Rotten Vale or do i need highrank for that to show up?
I think it is accessible in normal Rotten Vale, but I can't confirm since I have done this on HR.

So could someone pls tell me. What triggers the plunderer to spawn, do I need to kill odogaron and can I do it in any expedition
You definitely do not need to kill him but he has to be in the area. This is a speculation but I think you also have to speak to lynian researcher for grimalkyne to appear.
i went to sector 13 had no green dot waited around for abit an octodragon came dragging a leviana i did not attack otcodragon it walked away then i ran to leviana corpse behind it then the plunderers came
Yes its the best Farm gadget, but not the best gadget overall. The bugtrappers tool to trap monsters or stun them with the 2 traps makes the game so much easier besides the elders ofcourse but against them i also rather use the aggro shield from the shieldbearers. So imo the blade isnt "the best" palico gadget.
