Hey James! Love your stuff! Just wanted to pop in and say I'm buying my first serious bike this month and your videos were what convinced me to get a bike fit before I bought the bike, which saved me a lot of hassle down the line
brilliant to see the brands we wouldn't normally see over on other well known RUclips channels.. By far the best Rouleur Live video I have seen... I'll be getting my ticket for next years event!
So glad I found your own channel. I really enjoy watching Bikefit Tuesdays and your appearances on Francis' bikepacking trips and so its only natural for me to enjoy this channel.
Hi James, good to meet you at the show on Saturday. I’ve had my hip replacement operation…which seems to have gone well. Not sure if you can answer, but would you say, or think, a short nose saddle would be better post op? My bikes all have Fizik Arione saddles, which I’ve ridden for years. But a couple need replacing now…
9:50pm Friday, had no idea. This video popped up in YT subscriptions just before I was going to switch off PC. Checked with wife. Booked ticket for tomorrow, Saturday. 1 hour on bike or LizLine after dropping her to help at church FoodBank at 9am. I've been preparing a few questions to ask at a good LBS. This will kill many birds with one stone. Useful thing is... everything seen is out of my budget as pensioner but hope to get ideas for riding and position on my second hand 2018 cable Ultegra Roubaix and how to get it as spot on as possible for minimal money. I'd like to swap cranks for 165mm and wheels to take 32mm, even 35 mm, tyres in a frame that was just too early for that wide to be standard
Great coverage. The GCN video was pretty amateurish in comparison. Great to hear such in depth knowledge - you should definitely do more of this reportage. 👍
My god, this makes me realise how much of the brands/stalls GCN are avoiding, they're only going to their sponsors and avoiding any stands that even slightly conflict with their sponsors.
Was great to see you and visit your stand for a shoe fitting with the Lake guys. An excellent opportunity to try their range as most places only have a few models in stock. Great show and some interesting stuff, weird to be wandering round and bump into almost all the faces I watch on RUclips!
Didn’t think Lake did custom shoes sold to the public? They don’t even offer all colours of shoes in the UK. Some are only sold in Europe (Red CX238’s are an example).
That MUOV trainer bike almost got it right. The Rep told James that movement is what you do on a bike, but it's not. In real life when the bars point right the frame tilts left and vice-versa. The pivot could have been designed to do that.
Hard to say how lifelike it will feel without riding. I'd love one for the winter months. No adjustment for the stem by the looks of it. At £5000 it should be able to easily fit and be adjustable to anyone from 5ft to 6ft2inch. I expect Garmin/Tacx to come with something similar in the next year.
@@jakajese5160 Raw carbon fiber is made al over the world. from industrial centers in the USA to Japan. I don't know where the leading cycling industries of Taiwan get there's from but I'm guessing they probably produce it there as well. China is a cheap place for labor and manufactured goods. Also a diabolical country that out right steals and copies other manufacturers technology. The only reason to buy anything from china is the lowest price.
Fashion has changed in the last dozen years even among pros. I have a 2011 road cycle that is way lower in the front end than current bikes. I put in a 10 cm stem riser and am a happy camper. If you have a current bike a 10 cm riser you are getting a super lax high endurance front end. Suitable for most even those with inflexible backs. At least if you have a low saddle and short cranks for the most challenged riders.
Not use to seeing this guy outside of his studio and interacting with people in a large space. He seems insufferable. Even the small guy holding the microphone is annoyed with James 😂
I feel like with a small amount of alcohol Bike Fit James may become Cycling Industry Jack Sparrow.
Haha, this is so true!!
😂😂😂
😂😂 why is the saddle always too high 😂😂
😂😂😂
Compensating by leaning to one side.
Didn't expect content like this on the channel. I'm here for it.

20 min well spent, thanks James.

See you there!
Bordering on kid-in a-candy-store vibes, love the energy
Fab video. Thanks for filling a very long train journey with a great show. More please. 😉
Maybe the coolest thing I've seen covered on CyclingTube in the past 2 years.
Great to catch up with you guys today…. CANNOT wait for new bike day! 😬
You'll need that Rouleur for bikefitting
James is such a character lol best trade show video that I watched by a mile

Welcome to BJCN - Bikefit James Cycling Network 😂
This is very cool. I love tech and cycling. Also a big fan of Scope wheels, saw a lot of bikes with them. Ps: Hi Claire!
Man would love to see you in person tomorrow
Stand 212
00:03:08 Please do a short video about your watch collection!
4 years on my bike fit with James is still great on my pina
Interesting show, as usual good video
Would be great to watch more fit videos unedited, it’s interesting to watch the “mad scientist” at work.
Who wants to see James roast bike brands to their face?
Me!
4:09 crack me up !!!! 😂
Gotta love BFJ!!!!
Nice shirt Adam 😊
Frame for you, your wife and your kid, $30,000 worth of frames for the trainer lol
Those Sarto's are gorgeous
Really stunning in the flesh at the show, one of the stand out bikes there for me
go have the sarto experience just outside of Venice if you can. #awesomeness

Nice.
now I want to go spearfishing with James, after getting a bikefit of course.
Lakes new motto should be: we never stock anything, unless you're lucky!
Why!?
@Bikefitjames Never in stock

Stick that mic right in front of their lips, mate. Don’t be shy.
I want to see him pressing his shirts 👔 😉
6 and a half thousand pounds! $11554.22 Canadian AHHHHHH LOL And made in China. AHHHHHHHHHH LOL
And where do you think most of the carbon fiber stuff from major brands comes from?

"The trouble with custom bikes is that they are expensive. This bike is £6500". Get a good job first, buy later.
Why, oh why are all the saddles set so high? Nobody rides that aggressively do they, really? Looks darn stupid too, to me. Get real bike people.
