Don’t know why the other greats in this performance are not identified! So, here: pianists Herbie Hancock and Danilo Pérez, saxophonists Joe Lovano and Tineke Postma, bassists John Patitucci and Alphonso Johnson, drummers Brian Blade and Terri Lyne Carrington, and percussionist Alex Acuña. Legends and heavyweights all!
Thanks for that, I was wondering if that was Alphonso Johnson!
How come this could only have 8300 views while other rubbish its having millions and millions?!?!? World's really crazy, this is purity, this is a true artist! At least I can have that picture on my head when she won the grammy for best newcomer! Best for you always Esperanza! Keep sharing your beautiful soul and magic with us!
A superior performance by one and all I absolutely love this tribute to the one and only Wayne Shorter! Brilliant
Alex Acuña on Percussion,
he was the drummer for Weather Report, Heavy Weather was his debut as lead drummer

Lindo. Lindo. Lindo. Lindo...
Kennedy Center, who are the wonderful musicians playing alongside Ms. Spalding?
Where is it possible to watch the entire WS honoring evening ? (from Europe)
Such an amazing performance, which is why it was satisfying to put it on a playlist of over 400 songs by female-identifying vocalists I recently made for all the fury and frustration we are having right now: : ruclips.net/p/PLtTpAIqD_OG8n9Tl5ufEMsxC-w1hBKAho
I'm confused about her style though, she's looking more and more like Miles Davis ^^
Foolishness and un-needed words. Get some peace.
bs music ...
Worst version of that song, bar none. Terrible.
It's not a 'song'; it's piece of music; just so you know. Get caught up or don't. Wishing you some well needed peace.
Get a real life lol
